If you're disconnecting, this is a common issue in Palia and usually self-resolves after a while. Some people hard restart their system and/or internet, but it's mostly a Palia side issue for the disconnecting.

RTB will have a "better" drop rate in comparison to common huntables, as the RTB is a much rarer spawn so it takes "less" RTB to reach the drop rate whereas the common huntables take much more kills per their spawn rate.

I haven't come across that message. palia is online only as you're connecting to servers with other players for every location, so if there's no online play you can't play at all.

A couple people have mentioned issues accessing the game, but those seemed to be just one offs.
it could be a system message from your device indicating internet issues of some kind.

Another cheat? I'm among those who hate to play at spam tables as I consider it as a cheat taking advantage of a flaw in game.
Today ( not first time btw ) I observed a fisher casting repeatedly and reeeling in immediately after each cast. About then times.
Next cast she reeled in a Ancient Fish. At next spot she did the same then reeled in a rare ray.... and so on.
Is this a just another cheat? Can those who do this SEE what is next fish?
I once told someone doing this "cast further away" thinking she was new to the game and fishing.
She replied harshly "I know how to fish!". How to cheat apparently even better.... So why do they do this?

I started listening to my homies and doing cooking parties. And since I have ore and gem luck, I make and sell honey lures. I also use my bug catching medals to buy honey lures to sell, as well as selling bugs

I also sell hunting horns and ore compass, since I have a lot of extra materials and guild coins

Ive been in the same boat, so heres what ive been doing :D

Definitely cooking parties! I joined a cooking party yesterday that made fishing buffs and i made like 24k from just selling it all. Cake parties, afaik, are the most lucrative

Feed the ranch animals eachother's produce and then use any extra milk, eggs, and mushrooms in a glow worm bin, then sell all your extra fertilizer and worms (i have 4 bins going at once usually but you can obvs have way more, just need to buy permits from City Hall)
Make sure you OPEN any Elderwood Clam mushrooms your piggies give tho, juuuust in case theres a black pearl inside....

If you ever need to go mining specifically, say for stone for glass or bricks, do an Ore Compass run of whichever area you need. I like Bahari Bay because its relatively easy to traverse and you can get gold there, but if you need copper/silver, go to Kilima, and whitestone/palium/platinum, go to the Elderwood. Stone can be found anywhere tho
Then you just smelt and sell all the silver/gold/platinum (keep some for crafting compasses, lures n stuff) and any extra starstones you find
I think yesterday i got like 180 ish stone, 195 ish iron ore, maybe 16 gold ore, and maybe 6k from selling starstones? All from one ore compass. I havent smelted and sold all the ore yet because i needed bricks but yeah

Sernuk hunting is decent! Make at least 100 Standard Arrows and do a loop eaat of Kilima Village, then process the leather and sell it, grill up the meat and either sell or worm bin it. Is anyone else having issues with the game constantly lagging? It's to the point I've been unable to play for weeks, I log in, the lag is so bad it's like frame by frame movement and after 5 mins I give up! I draw the bow for example and it lags/freezes so I am unable to shoot.
I am on PC, drivers fully up to date, graphics etc reduced from epic down to medium/low, and there is just no improvement at all.
I also have friends having the same issue, can anyone help?

Very delayed, but I know in the past, Appy (From S6) and other folks in the community, mentioned that some lag could of been from having a lot of people on your friends list, and then recommended removing some. It helped some people in the past-- not sure if it's still an issue today.

Other than that... yes, Palia can be quite unoptimized like other people are saying. I know mine will just randomly freeze if I open my friends list, so I try to not do that ever.

For games like palia, i recommend all settings to med/low 60fps, with the optimization issues, and it not being a super detailed game, no need to have things at high/ultra like one would for triple a games. Its just not necissary. And unfortuntely yes sometimes running only the game helps. Also, windowed mode DOES use more resources because your computer has to render both the windowed game and desktop at the same time so its actually better to play in fullscreen mode. But, if for some reason you find windowed helps then stay with what is working cause palia def needs work in optimization. 💞🦇

Hey all... Im having a question regarding focus food, as ive been reading and seeing lots of different opinions on the matter.. Now what is the best dish for cooking focus food in a small group? Ideally im looking for a meal that gives exactly 1000 focus (or sliiightly less) and doesnt have rare or expensive ingredients like dari cloves/vinegar. I hear veggie chili is a popular one, but it gives more than 1000 which i feel is kind of a waste? Or is that only the starred ones, which can instead be sold for profit?
Looking for something as efficient as possible. Right now i've been making fruit smoothie bowls, but with an increasing group, i'm looking for something with slightly more positions and more focus too.

Burgers and cakes are extremely common focus food items. Neither take many expensive or hard to get ingredients. If you aren't trying to sell for profit you can make blueberry cakes instead of using apples.

Burgers require a bit of vinegar in several steps, so that's the most expensive part of that recipe, otherwise it's all just veggies or farm ingredients.

A lot of people still stick by the tried and true chili oil dumplings, spicy crab fried rice, and other similar dishes. Those are around 525ish focus.

I am fairly positive there's nothing that ends at 1k focus exactly. Nearly every combo of items or a single dish will be over 1k. It's really inconsequential if that's the case though.

Starred gives just over 1K focus points (1012 iirc), so it fills up a maxed-out focus bar perfectly, and the ingredients are easy/cheap to come by. It's a fair amount of steps, but you get more than enough time. I usually finish with over a minute to spare

There's not really a 'best one' I'd say, but do keep in mind that bean burgers (in my personal experience) aren't very cooking-party-friendly. Might be a console thing, but ingredients tend to jump around when you're trying to select the step you signed up for. The amount of times I've misclicked because of that when attending a bean burger party and trying to select my ingredient on the prep station ... 💀

That's actually why I only sign up for overprep roles. In case I mess up because of the ingredients jumping around and select, let's say, chopped garlic instead of onion, there's no harm done 😅 Also gives me some peace of mind knowing I'm not messing anything up for anyone should I crash

Get your skills to level 10 as it'll help out with stuff you unlock in their respective guild shop.

Tools have 4 levels you'll want them to be Fine or higher to help out in quests and have an easier time.

Main Story quests will have a purple border and a yellow flag.

To help with leveling there's two shrines. Pheonix shrine will give you bonus XP percentage and the Dragon Shrine will increase you overall focus. I highly recommend reading the wiki page on it.

Anything that you can easily get in the game resource wide you don't need to keep a lot in your storage. Starred bugs, fish, and dishes can be displayed on your plot.

For these set of quests specifcally, they were hard on a lot of people, so you're not alone in those feelings. It is a lot of essence to collect, especially when you don't have the relics to help you out. I understand and relate to why that feels stressful and overwhelming!

A lot of folks grinded essence out with others early on when these quests were fresh. Lots of folks still do -- bug parties for infected bugs with a party that has stacked relics does an excellent job of earning essence. Some people don't feel comfortable with this because they prefer to play solo, but, I must say that doing group play for essence grinding makes it so much easier to collect it. Example, when you have a party with stacked relics, you can earn about 3 to 4k essence per real life hour collecting infected beetles off lures.

Some of my good Palia pals still haven't completed some parts of those quests because of the grinding/stress/etc. One of the positives is for the relics, some of the harder to get items are available for you to request even if you have not gotten the item before (i.e., black pearl, maws). So that can eliminate some of the grinding, there's lots of generous Palians who will share their loots.

I think also, the elderwood content was "late game" for a huge portion of the Palia audience. So many, many, many players entered Elderwoods with a lot of skills already. It can be overwhelming if you're still new or don't play a lot.

Im a returning early game player. I had some personal issues that made me stop playing so much so I deleted my first gameplay. I started fresh so I actually knew what I was doing but I wasn't expecting the sudden flood of ridiculously difficult quests. Especially anything including fishing. My switch lags a lot when playing so the fishing mini game is horrendous to do even with a strong enough rod. I love open world games like this but with how hard the quests are getting and how laggy it is on switch, im not sure i even want to continue playing. Its fun but WAY too grindy at times and the amount of time some things take to do like making ores into bars, or wood into planks. Especially the gardening. I've had to stop so many times mid quest because I wasn't at a high enough gardening level for a certain recipe. My motivation is shot and I'm not sure if its coming back anytime soon

I just do little by little for that quest. It's not a main quest so I dont feel rushed to do it. Grab essence as I go fish or hunt for palium. And take breaks as needed when I get too stressed about it

Absolutely, there's a lot of people who feel the same way you do. The performance on switch isn't great and as a "fresh" play, it's definitely hard to get used to at some point. We see this feedback about fishing a lot, too, so you're not alone in that feeling.

Idk if this is where to put it, but I can't find another channel for this. I honestly wish that the game also made it so you HAVE to farm to get stuff to make food otherwise your character will get hungry and pass out, teleporting you back to your house plot, where you will be stuck for the rest of the in game day/night and require you to eat something to get some strength back, only being allowed to venture into town to get food or talk to the NPCs. Another thing is if you have completed an NPCs companionship quests, that NPC would move in with you if your house is big enough, beginning a new, "Family Life", quest line that will result in you and your partner NPC actually hosting a wedding where you can choose to invite the other NPC and/or specific players based off invitations. Further into the Family Life quest line, your partner NPC and you will either get pregnant after a certain milestone, or consider adopting a Palian child which you will then have to feed and take care of as well as you and your partner NPC, tying in with the farming suggestion at the beginning of this very long paragraph.

Here is a quick fun way to screw yourself over in Palia in case you want to quit the game forever and 100% sure you won't come back to it (do not do it elsewise):
Step 1: delete/sell every ore/bar you have.
Step 2: take all of the chests on your plot (except 1 if you want to actually see what you did) and delete them.
Step 3: sell all of your valuable items (50 coins or more) and waste all your money on plot buildings (you can additionally place them all on your plot with a creepy wallpaper to give your plot abandoned city vibes)
Step 4: spend all of your mining medals (if you have any) on decoration.

And there you have it, you can take items from your singular chest, but now you can't place them back. Not really a soft lock, but it is especially effective if you have 10k items or more.

Aditionally, you can break your pickaxe for it to be even more diabolical

I want to level up in cooking but it's thing I care the least about so I have no idea which food item gives the most xp.. Looking for recommendations

Technically speaking, starred lucky braised fish gives the most XP per round done (a little over 1,600 I think), but, it's a very hard dish.

Cakes give 680xp for every starred round. And burgers give 520xp for every starred rounds. Burgers and cakes are the most common foods to cook (in a cooking party setting) for leveling up.

If you're solo and don't like cooking in groups, a big round of campfire cooking isn't bad for XP either. While it is much much much lower than the dishes above, you can cook faster on them and average a pretty good gain in levels from doing this.

I totally understand! It gets easier over time once you try a few out. You can look for parties that have a "beginner friendly" tag or look for parties that are described as for beginners; there parties may have fewer rounds or use easier recipes, and the host/community is usually willing to help answer questions and stuff!

To dip your toes, you can look for a fish dish party, like Fish Stew. These parties can be good money makers, and, you only have a role to chop garlic in the party. That way, it's very low pressure/no stakes if you miss a round or mess up your chop. It can be a good way to kinda see how the parties operate too.

Other parties that new players join are parties that have what are called "free roles," or roles that require no ingredients. For example, in a cake party, there are free roles where you are baking cake batter, or, spreading jelly on the cake. These roles don't require ingredients.

I think the solution is that we can gift starred but, it costs the star status to send it so when the receiver claims it, it’s no longer a starred item.

main stables need a storage access box and world campfires should be cookable. not major recipes but the same as the grill or campfire cooker. also we need ranching trophies. Tish should have her own exclusive furnature set that you can only buy in her store once a day and it has to be stuff we cannot make. and maybe it is purchasable with something other than gold. also can we get an update on the mineral spawns in bahari since moving palium to elderwood. bahari is over run with stone vein spawns. maybe add gold and silver or something. also i think it would be beneficial to everyone if Einar gave the fishing buff when you are next to him. I also think there should be more palcat items availbe in the underground. would be cool to purchase more of those items from there. and not necessarily making them craftable either. i also like the idea of being able to gain gardening skill from tilling and watering on your crop fields. even if its just 1pt (similar to ranching when you feed low level food). also a cookable campfire on the ranch so i can cook for my animals. and can we please have something that gives us a list of plushies and pods accessable in the game interface and not just a website. that is all for now. thank you

There's some rewards for progressing romance with different characters, ||mainly the portraits you get|| but I'd say unless you want one of those specific things, you're not missing out much.

Though ofc there's people that enjoy romancing all the NPCs and collecting everything

Some NPC's also "open" up a bit more if you're interested in more lore/quests sort of thing.

alright, so theres something that's been bugging me the past couple days.
Why is the cost/payout for ogupuu drops so abysmal?
When I'm hunting literally anything else, I can make a profit even when I'm buying the materials for the arrows from NPCs. When I'm hunting ogopuus, I'm breaking even at best, but often coming out of a hunting session with less gold than when I started. :/

To lay out some math here, it costs 260 coins(1 iron ingot) for me to make 20 fine arrows. that's a "price" of 13 gold per arrow.

Muujins, depending on type, take 1/2/5 fine arrows to bring down.
Muujin meat sells for 16, the fur sells for 15. Manes sell for 65/195/985.

Ogopuus take 4/6/8 fine arrows to take down.
Ogopuu meats and skins both sell for 16. Scales sell for 95/230/1080.
I've not been actively tracking their drop rates, but I'm fairly certain that they don't drop meat or skins as often as muujins drop fur or meat, which makes the comparison even worse.

In addition to this, any hit that lands on a muujin is never wasted. Even if they escape into a tree, their health doesn't reset, so you can simply continue pursuing them until you finish them off. Ogopuus, on the other hand, -will- waste many arrows even if you have perfect aim, because if you can't finish them off fast enough, they flee into deeper water and despawn entirely.

Yep, it's rough hunting those solo ngl, and even when I was in a party, they'd often times outrun us so it's sort of necessary to have one person hit it with a slowdown arrow and the other with dispel/fine/etc.

And when sniping got patched/fixed it made it harder for solo players.

I have a theory, the flow is actually from Maji. The humans tried to gain the power of a God and Maji(being the native god) was the one they killed. And the echo(corrupt flow), is Maji's anger infused into it, that's why is harms. Maji( tied to water and the moon) would be considered a healer type God.

And that's why Maji no longer speaks to the Majiri. Because he's no longer there.

He didn't abandon them, he was offed by the humans and their greed for power

I already submitted the feedback, but just wanted to share it here as well, I understand that I might step on a large group of people's toes with some of the things I say, but I really wanna be able to play Palia more and longer, and I feel like at some point, there just is no point anymore, and I want to make this game worth playing 100s of hours for new players, since this game doesn't have a ton of grinding content, except for completionists, I feel like this might help a little bit towards making end-game more meaningfull and impactfull to grind towards, thats why I suggested a level for the suggestions, so we can actively grind towards them without feeling like its gonna be useles..

After you made Palium more accessible and even built an entire map section around it, I initially assumed Palium would be the final tier of ore and tools, which saddened me at first, after all, you named the bar after the game, so it felt like the natural end of progression.

However, after playing for what feels like, over a thousand hours, I realized there is room to expand. Veteran players eventually reach a point where we have everything we need, except for the occasional “item X” that requires just a bit more Flowwood or another resource. Flow trees are everywhere, but gathering them efficiently often still requires teaming up with others, unless someone uses the speed-chop exploit that lets them chop a tier higher on their own.

This is where I think the game could grow. With the recent third map expansion, the world is getting bigger, and playing comfortably requires gathering materials faster and in larger quantities. The current tools, even at Palium level, start to feel underwhelming for long-time players.

Suggestion: Introduce a new world expansion with a new tier, Singularity Ore and Singularity Tools.
This tier could go beyond Palium and offer meaningful upgrades for all tools, especially:

• Inventory expansion tools (inventory feels very tight with the latest map expansion)
• Farming tools, such as a higher-tier watering item (my farming is level 123, and going to these high-end levels feels useless, it's just a number, and it gains us nothing whatsoever)
  • I wouldn't mind if some of these new tools require insanely high levels, like level 50 for fishing for the Singularity tools, or hard-to-do quests to unlock them, especially if they are going to give a meaningful upgrade. It would make levels actually mean something. Though 50 fishing might be a bit much, that will take 100s of hours of fishing.
• General gathering tools that make solo play more viable at the high end.

Yeah, battle pass is a bit pricey for not getting currency back and you can't buy the exact amount of currency you need for it either from what I can tell
