go to your collections tab, pet section -- equip the galdur pet.

then, in your inventory, the pet will take home the 4 highlighted sections of an inventory row when you press the blue paw to the right. you can put as little or as much as you want in these 4 slots.

every 10 mins, you can send the pet home.

The pet has to be equipped to be sent home.

Yes, whatever you want to be sent home by the pet -- move into those highlighted boxes. Whatever you do not want to be sent home by the pet, take out of the highlighted boxes

Maybe what happened is since the default poke bowl request item in the menu is probably based on a standard/default value, and if you have a poke bowl item that is above that, it may not "carry over" the value of the item you have.

Like Ari said, Mitana Grove is the location in EW where you will find the hives. You will generally find 3 to 4 per server and they regen rather quickly, but when I need honey to cook I just server hop for a bit.

It's not going to act as a hallway in between both of the buildings, if that's what you're trying to do.

I don't know if enough feedback has been provided on these, and I think we should change that, at least for those that feel personally victimized by the Builder's Blocks when you build/decor. Patch 188 really messed up snapping points for building blocks and the latter only works with crates snapping underneath one another, not all "building blocks".

I'm guessing those players were doing spam pot(?) which is where you draw and discard as fast as you can. It's a strat for farming coins. There are no "rules" broken. It's just something people do because they want to get as many tokens in as little time as possible. You can switch tables and play normally if you want or join in on the spam.

idk if the devs will see this, but this is a genuine plea from someone who wants to love and adore Palia. But this game is unplayable. There's so many bugs with the quests that it takes any and all enjoyment from the game. Yesterday I literally had to quit bc I got stuck in a cut scene area and my home button was on cd and the stuck button just took me back to the start of the area I couldn't get out of. (it was the quest where the guy in the cloak activates the big ball thing and there's like a purple sky.) but please fix the game. The buggy quests are too much at this point. Palia was such a comfort game for me a couple of years ago, and I wanted to relive that now but I cant bc of the frustration with the bugs

You can always try quest help channel, game help channel, or issues discussions channel, or maybe even tech help channel. Many, many, many quest issues can be solved with player workarounds or the right information, but there are a lot of clipping/collision/etc issues for players post the Elderwood expansion that slowly gets tinkered with here and there on the subsequent patches. Of course, submitting feedback and bug reports are the best way to make sure issues are documented formally, as this is all just player to player and the devs themselves rarely check in, and our CM will elevate some issues for us when she sees them in the DC as well. The game is also still in Beta, so it has its quirks still. The player base is essentially play testers.

I definitely get that. I REALLY hope they pull a starred ruby and change it. The legendary forage plus at least 7 hours of essence grind (averaging 500 essence/hour) is a LOT for a side quest.

not as easily 😕 but what I do is just keep one of the chests right by your crafter(s) and it’s an easy routine of collecting the items, then dumping it all into a chest.

For the black pearl, (and some of the other ew items), it becomes unlocked in the request menu when you get the relic recipe that requires it, even if you've never gotten the black pearl before. I can't verify this myself because my relics/etc are long done, but I've seen many people verify this in the discord across the channels.

Yeah. i think the problem is what makes these quest take long is the running back and forth to fetch things and grinding whatever the currency or special item the quest needs. There's no actual substance to them imo, and that's part of the reason I'm just disillusioned with the quests in general.

A lil bit of decorating the house as well is nice. Idk everything is pretty nice in general, makes me relax a lot

It's a great sandbox game. You don't have to do quests for it to be enjoyable. In fact, the quests are the least enjoyable part of the game for me. Everything else about the game is what makes it fun. It's an excellent sandbox to craft, decorate, and skill build at your own pace. No PvE, no PvP, no competition for resources. No death, no human care required, no injuries, it's an excellent game to just come, be immersed, craft to your heart's content or hunt till you drop, and not have to worry about 'survival.'

Personally, I think it's a game with potential, but it's not fully living up to it at it's current state. I like the game, I greatly enjoy the concept, the characters and many aspects of it, but certain mechanics can become very repetitive, and if you're not a fan of things being locked behind RNG, it can get frustrating.

There are many types of bows. You showed a recurve bow, but the makeshift bow in Palia is designed after a long or flat bow. Basically, recurve bow looks too fancy for makeshift.

The only way to start the Shepp dialogue is to click the "will you be my Shepp" dialogue option on the player-side. You can potentially email player support and explain your situation/that it was a mistaken button click through, and see if they can reset the quest for you. The worst they can say is no, the best they can say is yes! Worth a shot to do if you'd really like to change your selection.

I would leave the acceptance ceremony unfinished for the time being if you do go the player support route, in case they can reset it for you.

I can understand it not forcing me but to clear the missions away like the yellow explanation marks or main missions, it felt that way if you know what I mean.

Maybe it was a bug as you said and I could have spoken to her and declined it to go away but after seeing it gone only after making someone else my Shepp, it's only my assumption and conclusion that they were related. I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just sharing what I saw

Iirc you use the crafters in the EW not at home.

There's some workbenchs around the central stables at EW from where you craft all the relics. Can't craft them at your plot from what I remember.

yeah! some fish need a specific bait. you can use sushi/fishers brew to up your chances of getting them. (or joining a party and using boosts to increase your chances of getting that fish since some are epic fish).

Essence doesn't take up any storage space and you will need tons of it later down the road to obtain all of the EW items for sale, plus questlines will require it, so hold on to all of those.
As far as shmole spores you won't need too many but keep some and sell the rest. I keep about 50 of each on hand.

I keep 5-10 of the resources that aren’t required in crafting recipes- gemstones, spores, horns, manes. That way I have them on hand for any quest, but they’re not filling my inventory. I always forget how quickly flint builds up, so keep an eye on how much space that has. Process and sell the wood often, as it’s easy to acquire.

the ones in bahari? every midnight in game, a grove will appear somewhere on the map, good servers will have people that will look for the grove, and then call out the coordinates of said grove. when you get to the grove, go around and hit the trees once, just once is all you need to do, and then wait for others to arrive. usually, the group will decide on the time when the chopping will happen (usually around 3am, though it can be sooner if people don't respond) then at the dedicated time, everyone will chop the grove to get the loot.

now, there will be times where people will be people and take the grove entirely without calling it out, or even when the grove has been called. there's really nothing you can do about those except block the players that do it if you are so inclined. no point in getting angry or anything like that. the "chop at 3" is just a community rule and not a rule that s6 implements themselves. more times than not though you will have the waiting til 3 to chop groups

Oh thank you, but I actually mean the flow tree parties people have been putting together. They "charge" flow trees on their plot so when you chop and collect the loot you get a ton of foraging xp. I know it has something to do with hitting the trees and letting them heal, but looking for someone to explain the process because there seems to be a particular method people use

you pretty much just explained the mechanism -- you hit the tree repeatedly, let it heal, and the tree gathers extra XP. it takes hours to do this prep for the charged parties though.

yeah you still pre-tap for loot if you're not 'charging' the tree, but with a lot of labor and effort, you can 'charge' the trees. usually one to a handful of people will gather on the host plot and do do this for several hours before the party chop.

Fern -- not necessarily, you can generally -- with time and practice -- figure out how many hits will gain the xp to the tree. an iron axe is preferred bc you're less likely to kill the tree. there is a axe method some people use to speed it up a bit whereby you 'glitch' your axe while cooking a recipe, but you can also use a regular/non-glitched axe, it just takes much longer to do the 'charging' that way.

with a lot of effort, you can get trees up to 2.4k exp on average per tree. though i have seen some higher than that, 2.4k seems to be the general cap-out the game prefers.

i don't reccomend this method for non-experienced players. it's very, very precarious and will crash your game if you don't know what you're doing. very laggy, etc.

Because you don't need the 'glitch' axe to do it, I really do think it's just in the coding and people usually don't find this out bc it really does take an extraordinary amount of hours to do it. It is a very labor intensive process.

Here was it's beginning! Players eagerly cultivated their gardens to grace their garden with its green leaves. But when planted, it was noted that the lettuce looked strange. Grey and spikey, like it was not yet meant for this world. Players diligently tended their gardens, hoping the lettuce would soon take on a verdant hue. But alas, it remained grey, right up to the moment that it could be pulled from the fields.
Some players made more seeds, hoping that in time, the blighted crop would appear healthy, but it was not to be. A year has passed, and the humans still wait for a chance to make their own soup... 🥬 #LegendofLettuce

I’d love to hear how likely the game is for Mobile. Like, is it 100% no, is it a maybe in the future now that it’s on all consoles, or? My phone runs games far better than my switch does (iPhone) and I’d likely play it on my phone on the go more too. I know you can use Gforce Now to play it on your phone but it is a bit rough, and needs a controller really as it’s not made for mobile. But honestly would dig it, even if it’s so I can fish.

It would be an interesting one, but I’d love staff to actually answer it since looking through the discord many have asked before about it and seems many are curious. Is it a possibility in the future, or is it a 100% no? Or is it something being worked on in the background? I have an old iPad I know it would fry, but a lot of new phones could handle it. (I play starstable on my phone after all, which is, in some ways, a little similar in terms of gameplay.)
(I know some definitely would be against it, some would be for it… Especially with Switch issues. Then again I heard Switch 2 runs the game FAR better.)

Console is definitely popular. I’m in the U.K. and a lot of my friends don’t have PCs??? But they do have consoles. I guess console is more affordable long term for gaming specifically.

Same with mobile to an extent, if it’s incredibly well optimised… Most people have a phone in their pocket so it’s easy to play. Partially why Nikki does so well?

100%. Long run being on console will help, more money, and from what it looks like they are actually starting to work on the game more and more. And if/when mobile comes, I’ll be glad too because that will be so easily accessible and bring more players and in turn money and in turn funding for more updates and more people getting paid to fix problems etc. plus it’s nice it’s all cross play and we all can play at the same time. I love seeing this game thriving, and we are in a beta, something people forget about. Not even early release, but beta. So… it’s definitely gonna be buggy.

(I took a 6-8 month break from last year to this year when all updates were had was just premium shop and a bit of furniture but no quests or anything for me to do. I was really bleak about where things were going but I’m delighted by the improvement this year.)

To be honest, it's easy to forget about since it's not advertised properly that it's in beta. That aside, even games that are in early access/early release, etc... can also be very buggy. (Looking at you, Grounded 2.) .... Although, admittedly, with how buggy the game can be for a lot of folks, ti definitely feels like a beta because of that lol.

I wouldn't mind if it goes to other consoles or whatever, but like mentioned previously, would be great if bugs and other things get worked on first. UI Scaling, especially. (Did they ever fix how small the UI was on switch? I remember that being a problem and being so hard to read... hopefully not an issue for xbox/ps5)

I don't think we can call Sims 4 a beta though? Or to compare it to Palia in terms of a game being "finished".

Besides, Palia is a live service game, like IN and others, so to have it "always on beta but not properly tagged as a beta" has been a point of contention for many people.

I’m currently testing out a completely different game by Cozy Grove creators and oh boy is it BUGGY. But it is an Alpha (public now) and.. Yeah. Same vibes again. But that is incredibly well advertised.

I can understand that. I guess another issue for me, and some other palyers, is the lack of accessibility issues, too. Some people genuinely can't continue the story due to roadblocks in that regard, and have been patiently trying to wait for it to get worked on, fixed, etc. (along with other issues, but yeah)

It makes it a bit difficult for some because of it. I don't mind waiting for a while for things to complete either, as long as communication is clear on that front, too. Which Palia definitely struggles with, so it makes it hard for me, and some other folks, to get excited for the future.

Honestly when Sims 4 came out, despite being a “full release” but missing SO much base game content, most people would call it a beta devs may not agree with it but most playerbase did for a good few years. It was so bare bones and very buggy. And that’s for a game that was paid and cost $39.99……

I've been waiting for Witchbrook and have also been playing Sims 4 since release ( 🤝 to us for having similar tastes in games).
I think the games market has skewed a lot of people's views, and I am also very aware of wanting devs to have a good work/life balance. I don't mind waiting for games to release, which is why I'm glad they're taking their time on Witchbrook (and things like Paralives). I'm fine with Palia taking it's time, too... but then it should take it's time and try to fix foundational issues as opposed to launching on console. In my opinion, anyways.

Accessibility is something I always vouch for. It’s why I don’t want weather effects, or at least have a toggle to turn them off visually because they often make my motion sickness worse? Then seasons (snow especially) in games is a big trigger to my seasonal depression. Having accessibility for all kinds of folks is SO important and I hope as time goes on they do implement things and work with more people who need accessibility to figure out what they can add to the games. I’d like to be able to make text larger… and make UI smaller. And hide UI for screenshots. (The UI makes me miss so much since it’s rather large.)

I agree on that aspect, Sims 4 base game is very much barebones, but the main point was that Palia is a live service game, they could very much just continue expanding on the game without necessarily being under the beta label. It's just that again, it's been starting to feel like an excuse for lack of accessibility, bugfixing and QoL features.

And again like Ori mentioned, the fact they have wiped the beta label out of pretty much everywhere, it just feels a bit disingenuous.

A win for Palia is that it has remained f2p and the only game mechanic related thing in the shop has been the courier pet, but you could also do the quests to get it so... I think they way they approached that was nice. We love that.

Paralives 🥹 I’m so for gaming studios not being crunch studios, even if it takes forever for games to come out. I fear the lash out Paralives is gonna get when it goes into early access because it WILL be buggy and people will try to say it’s a bad game from that alone. But I do agree Palia has so much to fix. Some of us are far more lucky and barely get bugs while others get so many bugs and glitches making it unplayable. One of those for me is the restricted section Caleri. I never got that bug, I was able to complete the quest fine (recently too, like 2-3 weeks ago) but many are getting that issue?

Please, I want more furniture interactions and gave suggestion feedback on their site about it, as well as all sorts of pose ideas. I wanna be able to stand or sit with a cup of tea in my hand so bad. And for benches that look like they can sit 3 people or 2 people to actually sit that amount instead of us sitting in the middle.. for a very co-op centered game (yes it’s for solo players too but it is rather co op focused) furniture is not very co op friendly.

You guys got into it a little bit in much earlier discussion. There's 100% room for improvement company-side but there's also room for the audience to manage their expectations, too. I like that she shared what she could, but even that "wasn't good enough" for many. It's a hard balance to strike.

There's no pleasing everyone, of course. I certainly do not envy the position she holds, because maintaining that balance and the literal processes you're held to per protocol must be hard.

That’s my worry, I want to give constructive criticism but also be balanced and acknowledge the effort where it is. But then I’m used to fans in other games can be so “IMPROVE” “you improved? Not good enough!” - it’s never enough for some fans despite companies trying. And I don’t want to be that person, I do want to have a balanced point. Palia has a LOT of issues but there are improvements and they really are beginning to communicate better… however there is improvement to be made at the same time. It’s difficult and everyone 100% is allowed an opinion, we just have to make sure to not just be black-or-white about it. I also find positive encouragement gets people to do more, while negative complaints non stop stop people from working as hard because what’s the point, it’s never good enough.

I think, as we had discussed this previously too, that the issue was that the information she gave was not accessible to most people. She shared something previously in palgen, which not everyone keeps up with and it can be hard to do as well, which is why many of us asked for it to be pinned to sixer-tracker.

There had always been issues with communication in the past, which made many people upset. So for many it felt again like things were falling back into radio silence. I think many understand Lacie can't share everything, but in this case it was just a matter of making the one bit she could share, more accessible for everyone.

Improvement isn't immediate sure, but I think the issue for many is the consistency at times.

I definitely do not envy her position either, and I don't condone people constantly pestering her about it.

The use of the tracker channel is a very good way to make sure the important stuff gets saved for review, so I'm glad that's being utilized a bit more as of recent. I think it helps too when the Mods reinforce the sixer-tracker responses, and just generally when they jump in to reinforce what Lacie has mentioned. There seems to be more "belief" offered when a Mod answers the inevitable patch question than when a player tries to help another player, so that has been helpful too recently (at least in my observation anyway, there's less back and forth once a Mod offers the pinned message).

Consistency is 100% improvable, and maybe now that summer breaks are winding down for everyone it'll be a little more consistent or maybe there can be better planning at hand to cover the gaps in services when X person is out who usually does X, etc etc.

And it's not that they are trying to be jerks, it's simply that some folks have high expectations and like instant gratification, and they don't consider how much work goes into these things when they are pestering the devs for XY&Z

I'd prefer we don't generalize people as "bad apples", or assume that it's just people having high expectations or wanting instant gratification. Even if you're speaking generally right now, it feels like you might be addressing the people in this conversation (which might not be at all what you were doing, but just to be safe).

Also, I don't think anyone in this conversation was saying we (a general "we") want more, and more, and more from the devs. I think the original topic was just wanting them to take their time to polish Palia and be a little more transparent with communication when they can, which Lacie is doing when she can!

I'd just do what we (mods) often do, which is forward the original message that Lacie sent from the tracker channel. Obviously y'all couldn't do that as easily before because it wasn't pinned -- our bad, lol -- but whenever it is...

People will see Lacie's name in the message and go, "oooh yeah!" whether you're a mod or not... generally.
