They are not meant to have drapes I guess...

But you can fix that by stacking some chests to create a grid, place the curtains and then you can remove the chests.

The game is basically unplayable on switch, it lags and glitches so often I can't even do simple tasks like fishing or opening the menu/inventory

I'm really struggling to stay positive about this game.

Just lost a lot of muujin meat because of how buggy the game is... 3 muujin glitched so they disappeared after I got a single hit, then they're suddenly in trees and now I can't get them
And another one died in the tree and now the loot bag is floating in the air out of reach

Obviously I've done bug reports, but I'm starting to wonder if they even read them😐

It's an outfit change animation, I believe. You have to save the outfit to your saved outfit section in the wardrobe, then equip it to the outfit wheel, and then when you change fits that jumping/flying change animation occurs.

A workaround has been found- place in a worm bin then click cancel to send it to storage

some people have found that they can store it in their worm bins, and then cancel the "processing" to push it into the inventory. But to find it again you'll have to grab it from the worm bin "inventory chest" menu, b/c it doesn't even have a category assigned to it (cook, forage, resource, etc)

Not dumb, item is not fully coded in. There is a hack floating around to store it in a worm farm. Other than that it can be eaten or sold

well you put it into the worm farm and then cancel the job, it dumps the honey into your storage inventory (but it's then invisible unless you're going through the worm farm, can't see it in a normal chest)

if you just store it in a worm farm i suspect it'll turn into worms and fert, though now i'm curious what ratio

I wouldn’t tell players “this will be updated eventually and will be storable and searchable via all storage in the future” as if it’s a fact, because we don’t know if that’s actually true. Something similar happened with lettuce last year and we still don’t have a solution for that. The honey could’ve been an accident, it could’ve been a teaser, it could’ve been intended as a borderline useless, one-time consumable item. Anything’s possible at this point and we won’t know for sure until the devs say something.

They do need to make profits, but not at the expense of the basic functions of the game. Every update seems to have more and more premium cosmetics but breaks several areas of the game that end up not getting fixed for months. I am hopeful for the Elderwoods, but I'm not holding my breath on it being any good. S6 seems far more interested in profits than actual gameplay at this point.

I have to say the Aurora Peaks landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. Who do I have to talk to to beg them to make the pictures for items look EXACTLY how the item looks in game? Art style not withstanding, why are there so many things with really cool, interesting pictures and lack luster when placed down?

For instance, the Lilly Rattan nightstand looks completely different, the makeshift coffee table, the homestead fountain, and there's more I could list. I just don't get why they even do it. Like they're purposefully making the item pictures different and it makes no sense to me. It drives me crazy because then I'm disappointed when I see the actual things.

The game is still in beta, as a switch player. I don't think it's atrocious. With it still in beta, more bugs are likely to appear on the console version rather than PC version. That's all.

So chat may break, or you may experience white screen, or longer loading times. Or getting stuck. Ny only really complaint is the resolution issues. Chapaas are basically reflective of the sun, so sometimes I'm shooting plants than chapaas. But it's not "bad" per se

However these are case by case scenarios. And doesn't affect everyone. The game is still in beta, so we play knowing that things make break, it's literally in the agreement.

There is one thing that's hard to do on the switch that is easier on the PC
Glitching, a technique used in decoration. But that's more game breaking than bugs

Actually the game's beta vs. non-beta state is dubious. Not even S6 really knows if Palia is in beta or not because they use the beta tag whenever it's convenient for them.

But by Nintendo's standards on the Switch, Palia is not allowed to be in Beta to be allowed on their platform. It's a mess.

Someone in the Switch FB messenger group wanted the feature to be able to hang pictures they took and I replied that the pictures weren't saved in the game, but to the console's album, same as using the screenshot button. Made me wonder if it functioned similar on PC

unless you manually take a screenshot on your computer of the game screen or of the photo you take, which would go to your screenshots folder

generally you can, at least for loot drops - i bet if you stashed another stack you'd wind up with a bonus tomato seed, and that's the reason it's grayed out unavailable

Crops DO have a chance to drop a seed, so if the game doesn't register an empty slot, it won't let you pick the crops. If there is an empty slot, and you have almost a full stack of the crop, logic should dictate that you'd be allowed to pick the crop and any excess produce would fall into overflow

Typically in that case the tomato seed should go into overflow.
Could be that they're not high enough gardening level to guarantee star produce every time yet and that particular plant only yielded normal quality tomatoes

From my understanding, the snowball flash is fixed on PC but not on consoles, because console patches have to be approved before they can be pushed live and none of that was able to be done because of the holidays
The other white screen flashes are probably some spaghetti code that's really hard to isolate because it's really random when it happens and hard to replicate, so it's difficult to pin down what's causing it.

That's not defending them by any means though, the issue is a legitimate health concern for some people and things like this need to be treated with far more urgency moving forward, because it's not a "funny visual glitch" when it has the potential to actually harm someone

We had a fruitful discussion last night, and are going to make some improvements that will help (but not fully solve obvs) some of the problems. During the conversation, most folks were super helpful and constructive. Some folks, while having important thoughts to be heard, also added a lot of unconstructive comments or comments otherwise against our discord policies. In order to be consistent, the temporary actions are necessary. We can have these discussions while adhering to the policies on this discord, but not everyone in that channel believed that and those few folks have been given extremely temporary mod actions.

I do understand the issues. People will complain either way so they have to really pick and choose their battles. I've seen veteran players complain when s6 made QoL or made certain things easier.

Actually, there were a lot of people around all the time pointing this out and while I consider it a good thing to be added, I dont think this is or was the issue.

To be frankly honest the issue was the perma rule breaking of the xxx times stated standard that was clearly putting agreement on top. Not judgemental side comments and reaction emotes. The amount of those did peak several times and I did not like it at all. It led to so many people turning to other platforms for trade and obviously also to blaming mods for doing their job.

I did not write a single thing last night and do not want to get mistaken now either, but there is always more than one side of the medal.
In example, if you hunt a lot all time a hunting drop is less "precious" to you than for someone who does only hunting weeklies.

Or having to strip down literally to not be.

This being said I highly appreciate that trades are kept to the participating parties; as long as the information on rare plushes is there - and it has been there all the time, reposted by a lot of people - I am glad we stick to that and mind our own trading business, so to say

but it could be cute to have a little book [or something similar], that is a way to keep track of plushies you have or already collected, which also states the rarity, where/how to obtain them [and if you can even get them anymore], etc.

On the other hand rules are not there to be handled like one likes it in that specific moment. The channel was flagged for trading only multiple times - and nobody did take a discussion to the discussion channel. Plenty of us did not write single thing to not make it even worse - I could now start about how unfair this might be 😉

I can understand people being frustrated about a temporary mute from the channel over something that happened last night, but we've previously been critiqued because of not keeping things consistent with our server rules (some people getting a smack on the wrist, but then not getting it in a different example). It was discussed with WC even then, and we agreed that keeping some level of consistency was appropriate. Then and now.

We have to hold the server to the rules. We really are doing our best, we are engaging in discussions with WC even when he doesn't step forward in channels to make public announcements. I'm trying to offer a level of transparency that hopefully (aaha... ) won't bite me in the butt later, but none of what's been done was done flippantly.

It really depends on the server. And what is considered acceptable on it. For some servers they are pretty useless, the time to watch over them is the same you need to moderate manually often.

You can definitely talk about issues you've had with moderations and actions, it's just how it's done. There were more than a handful of messages last night that went beyond, "I don't agree how this situation was handled," (all fair) and into... genuinely mean, unhelpful commentary. If you have a problem with the temporary mod actions put into effect because of last night's messages alone, that might be a converastion to have with WC! I will note that he was in discussion with us during that whole period.

And yes, we are aware the joke made by a moderator was done in poor taste and there was discussion around it. Just as we don't air out moderation action to the whole server, we don't air out private discussions that happen between devs and mods.

The thing is simple.
If you have a moderator or CM or similar position in a community of what kind so ever you do not have the luxury of an own opinion. You are there to moderate, to be neutral and to enforce the rules.

This can prove to be quite tricky; but at the end of the day, everyone enteringa server and accepting the rules cannot say: Oh wait, for now I dont like the rules, let us break them for this one thing only and then we go back to standard.

It creates double standards. Bec the next person will say: Wait but THEN you did allow it. Why not for me then eh...

It's very hard to appease a server of 300k+ people, and we are humans that have also been trying to navigate all of the staff changes at S6 with everyone else. There's some clunkiness there for sure, and we acknowledge that.

WC is wearing 3459084 hats, and we're hopeful that in the near future... a CM will be brought on. But yes, sometimes that means we see things are an issue and we have to wait to work things out with WC who can't and shouldn't be available all the time.
