Hey, I'm trying to climb up inside the lighthouse, which I've done in the past without big issues, but now I seem completely unable to catch onto the first set of vines, I just jump right through them. Has anyone had a similar issue? Has anything been changed?

It's definitely broken now, very disappointing. At this point having completed almost everything there is to do in Palia, the last thing the game updates need to go is take away functionality. Exploring areas off the beaten path was one of my few joys. IMHO, not a great patch, at all. Try adding in more story and gameplay before taking away things, please.

there was litteraly no need to change that 🤷 They should change the fertilize and crops boosts instead... I talked and finally understand why my fertilizer werent being consummed since few times ago. I opened 2 tickets on the support waiting for the correct, and a friend told me some days ago that it's not a bug, they changed the bonus from apple tree, blueberry bushes, and every worm farm now only gives crops quantity (which every plant give now, making it 100% useless)

i don't know how they ended up with that idea, but it's awful, the crops take forever to grow now and fertilize never have been more useless than now

The metal blocks' ability to clip through anything was the one thing that made this insanely limited housing system bearable. It gave flexibility and allowed for more player creativity. This is definitely one the poorest decisions made for the game. At least give us the ability to clip any item whenever we want like most other games with housing do before taking it away from metal blocks.

The "needs watering' arc doesn't show up on my immature trees, and watering them doesn't give that little splash when it's full, so don't think it's watering them. It's not a big update content-wise for anyone, I'd say... Premium store got a new pet and new clothes, everyone got the home tours and a few other things... Home tours I could see taking a good chunk of dev time, plus they've got some chaos with the Daybreak stuff and also have reduced manpower after the layoffs, compared to a year ago. Plus, they've been throwing hints at new (I guess elderwoods region) content, and said they'd be moving towards a 1.0 release, so I could see them working on something bigger for the future... That's just my theory though.

I think the whole friendship system needs a revamp. We are all forced to add friends to trade, whisper, in the past visit homes and we end up with tons of friends we don't talk to. We need to be able to do all those things without having to add friends. A friend is someone you chat with regularly not someone you trade once and then never chat again.

Not to mention the friend list has been so buggy, I wanted to remove someone and it removed another name I didn't click on. Or the people still remain in friend list even if they were removed.

Yes it just takes a snapshot of it and makes a different instance of it for the tour. They don't appear on your plot.

And nothing you change will change in the tour plot.

There are quite a few people on my friends list that I don’t specifically remember. The others are people that we interacted once, and that’s it. Very, very few people on my list are people I either know, OR interact with semi-regularly in game.

They're purely RNG, I think about 2% probability but no clue where that number comes from so it might be wrong. You can cast your rod, wait for a fish/box to appear, and recast it if it's a fish (take it in after the fish swam away). That way, you won't lose any bait. Also, I think I heard worms and hotspots increase your chances, but I am not certain there.

Yeah, FFXIV does it that way too. There's a few diff craftable jukeboxes for aesthetics, but you get the actual songs from quests/crafting/fights/etcetcetc and then can play whatever song you own on it, even make a playlist

Late reply, I know. There's no way to download your game progress or so, much less one to upload it on Paliatracker. Palia tracker is a fan-made website that you can enter data manually (e.g. click the fish you caught) and it'll keep track of the stuff you entered. I'm pretty sure that if it were attempting to handle some kind of downloaded file, S6 would've an issue with that.

The one thing that really bugs me about how you can't turn costume effects off, too, and they seem to wanna add flashy ones to a whole bunch, is how they program things like hotpot and the arcade game iirc. There are so many recipes in there and Im still getting nothing but a generic quest item for Zeki or sweetleaf.

And legit all the quest item is...is yet another meaningless lore item that somehow Zeki shrugs off as both incredibly rare and important but also we get nothing for it and it's just a small text blurp as the only reason I picked it up

Chapaa piles were introduced several patches ago in Kilima Village where you can now loot unique furniture items/recipes! They can also contain "junk" like a singular wheat, or corn, or a rock (lol). It's all RNG based, and its location changes daily across Kilima (mostly towards Mirror Fields and the Badruu family farm area). And then there's a Bahari equivalent pile that offers you flotsam furniture/recipes as well and these can be found along Bahari Coast (and the chance of course to also get more junk etc). Think of them as lil lottery piles.

They fixed the tree watering bug- or at least it let me water my flow trees today- but now the mature tree I had with a seed to collect doesnt have the collection option anymore 😭 I've only been blessed with 2 seeds from the statue so far. I keep getting dialogue lines that I don’t feel should be unlocked for me yet… like, just now Jina spoke to me about “||getting carried away with those masks||” despite the fact that I haven’t done that quest? (I have ||read the book with play details in the library||, though).

Earlier today Kenyatta mentioned being thankful ||that the sernuk was alright||, but I hadn’t turned in the materials for the ||mining|| edition of “The Path Less Traveled,” so I shouldn’t have known anything about that yet?

Have other people experienced this? I went back and turned in the materials shortly she said that and learned about the ||sernuk|| through the quest to ||find her medicine pack,|| as you’re meant to… so it doesn’t look like it disrupts the quest flow or anything. It just seems counterintuitive for the game to spoil itself.

it’s been a little slow-going for me as well. I think it’s honestly kind of just a matter of promoting yourself here in the server and using it to exchange visits with other players. which isn’t necessarily beneficial to the long-term function of the new tour events feature.

hopefully they’ll refine the RNG element so it’s easier for players who aren’t active here as well. but in the meanwhile I’d be glad to tour and react to your plot!

If you don't want to reset or relog, and other emotes don't fix it, I've found that going into collections (where pets and toolskins and now nameplates live) it will reset your face! This also works when you're in the underground and your tool skins reset to default- opening collections and closing it pops them back into place. Hope this helps!

Community guidelines are not rules. People can play the game how they want. If they're in their own party and want to take the grove when they find it instead of waiting around... that's their prerogative. You can always block them and hop to another server so you aren't matched together in the future.

Is it nice to call them out? Sure, but you also don't know what time crunch other people are on and in most games I've ever played it's first come, first served. There'll be plenty more opportunities for you!

I agree with Ciri, people shouldn't be able to come in and grief the Grove like that, taking it away from other players. There's got to be a solution for that!

they made solutions? you can get your own flow trees on your plot from the galdur statue for completing temple of the roots, you can plant those to get seeds to create massive forests on your home, you can also create your own flow forest by chopping trees in an area and seeing if they respawn as flow trees.

some people will also host flow tree parties where people can go and chop down their forests

the people who go and take a grove are not in the majority, and as roan said, community rules are not game rules. if it was a game rule then s6 could make it so the grove acted more like palium nodes or make it so that the trees can't be cut down until after a certain amount of time

People playing how they want to isn't griefing, esp when there's no 'rules' in regards to Flow Trees or groves. Some people genuinely don't know, or they might be on a time crunch, and as Roan was saying-- If they're in their own party and want to take the grove instead of waiting ... well, they can do that. It's fine.

And as Sylvablade is saying-- you can get your own FT now, and some people also host flow tree parties. I know the more you chop trees, more FT's pop up, too, unless they've changed that. (Which i don't think they have?)

As long as they aren't being purposely malicious, in the sense of doing it and purposely laughing at everyone & just outright being a jerk, it's fine imo. But if it's 2 people who just don't want to wait and are just doing their own thing, that isn't griefing.

i have literally created accidental groves trying to get bees in kilima and hunting the dang muujin by myself to the point where i had to give up the hunt because the wolves jumped into the flow trees that i can't take down on my own

Yeah, that I agree with. It's easy to forget or not even recognize. It's why I'm trying to bring it up, too, so people are aware of it. I used to run around the lighthouse and force spawn them there with a friend. not sure how well of a tactic that is now, but yeah.

FT in general, from what i've read/seen, it's a lot easier. More drop from trees, you can get FT seeds later on, etc.

They've had to multiple times in the past during testing... There's been some major drama, and some of that is the reason why the groves even exist in the first place because people didn't understand that chopping down regular trees forces Flow ones to spawn.

I think the main issue is S6/Palia is fighting against a gaming culture that struggles to learn new ways to work together. TBH Palia is the only MMO I can handle playing because people usually are very nice and try to share as much as they can. So when we come into the game and see folks being rude when it comes to what feels like a scarce resource it can feel very emotionally triggering.

It's also why I've been trying to give another perspective, because genuinely, I feel like it can easily be forgotten that people might only have time to be playing for that moment, or need to go to work within minutes so they only have time to do this or that. For me, I get very restless and I just can't do groves for that reason, because people will insist on waiting, and I genuinely have to be on the 'move' or I get anxious-- and this very well could be the case for others.

I do love seeing how nice/helpful other people are. I genuinely love seeing others helping those who need it, and I do enjoy seeing people wanting to wait-- but some people can't. Whether that's timecrunch, restless, or some other reason that we may not know.

And I want to add, it's completely fine and ok to be frustrated, etc. We're all human it's understandable.

It might seem silly to say (because the toxicity the nastiness just for the sake of nastiness is another thing entirely) but be sure you're using the block button. It might not save others from their antics all the time, but the server system does a pretty good job at not placing you with blocked players and trying to place you with friends. I've avoided the vast majority of toxic players by making sure I add the good eggs and block any negativity I see in the world! The more people block, the less nice Nellie's will be subject to their bad vibes.

Keep in mind that a lot of those 'rude players' can not see chat. Switch players have a very rough time with chat capabilities. There might be other language barriers too. The best course of action if you encounter players being rude in chat is BLOCK them. Don't engage , just block. The game does a great job of placing you in servers with those on your friends list and keeping you OFF of servers with those on your blocked list. Eventually you'll rarely see unpleasant players ;)

Ah yeah, the chat is a good thing to mention, too. I actually have mine turned off because 1) it either bugs out so nothing is there, or it will flicker and/or 2) I struggle to read it bc it's so small (for me) and with the font. 😭

I don’t do groves anymore. The waiting around for everyone is just a killer for my time.

i'll still look for groves (mostly to try to get to them first to see what bug/creature spawned and to make sure that there's no hidden muujin in the trees) but i rarely hang around the full time period unless someone immediately drops a honey lure. just went to a grove, got the fairy mantis, then popped a hunter's horn and chased down a proudhorn and got a plushie for my time

I tag trees (if I need flow) then go do other things and come back for the loot
