The purpose is for those who struggle with chat going by really fast. It's, as the name is, "Chill".

Some people prefer typing out a sentence, and stepping away-- whether that's for IRL or something to do in game. And it makes ti feel more meaningful for them, and/or not as stressful or something similar.

Plus, some people genuinely struggle if the chat goes by so fast-- sometimes in regards to anxiety, or it goes so fast it might make their eyes/head hurt. It's just a safe and nice place for those who are more comfortable in those settings, or just need that.

If you mean the wind temple, I had no problem finishing the quest, I just took my time and did all of the parts to the quest rather than rush to the end - worked for me

yeah if you arent bugged it would im sure it would be that simple. they fixed the issue where you spawn on the nearest land to spawning to where you originated. so it would be pretty hard to bug the quest if you were only starting it now.

but everyone who made the mistake of flying to the centre island locking the characters there that has not be fixed yet but they spoke about the next update being bug fix oriented.

MelodicBlue, Mavebrick, Admiralsky and I have all come together to work towards having S6 consult the Palian community on accessibility and disability. We can't go into full details (because everything is still being discussed), or guarantee anything at this early stage. But! We feel confident this effort will be able to reach S6's attention.

Yes! While there are a few questions that overlap, the data we're gathering in this survey focuses on other impacts of accessibility (and the lack thereof) in Palia, and will hopefully help us reach investors and leadership at S6. Prior to the release of this survey, Bruje was consulted and credited, and their survey is another part of the comprehensive package we're presenting to S6.

Isn't this even more unpaid labor on an already taxed community to provide?
Absolutely. We acknowledge that (it's unpaid for us as well), and when we start collecting testimonials (more thoroughly explained in the Open Letter within the survey) that topic is definitely going to be a part of mine. We invite you to join us as much as your spoons/battery-power/energy allows. I just remember when I played, I straight up had to stop fishing because it ended up very painful. If it was just a toggle instead of holding down a button, it'd be better.

Holding it down on my own, sadly and unfortunately, hurts my hands/fingers a lot, which makes it straight up unplayable for me.

Yeah, also when they opened the Asia sever and disconnected the EU and NA servers. 🥹 when my husband and I decided to get the game, it was because palia said it would cross servers, and we looked up the info before we got it. And then we couldn’t play together (me in NA and hubby in EU) and then found out from Reddit that it wasn’t working.

Anyone else having issues with people not calling out Grove everytime I go to a bahari server and I'm waiting for Grove the sound goes off and I run around the entire map and it's nowhere
A few times I have gotten to it and there is just a few people there finishing the Grove off

It sucks cause I have to waste another hour of my time just wanting to get some flow wood

It happens just chop some trees. Problem is theres the event at midnight which is chappa chase or you have the grove. People think well no one is going to be looking for the grove cause they are all at the event. Just start calling out before mightnight palian time that your looking for the grove and im sure someone will help you.

I’ve been watching a couple of videos on Palia, and I didn’t realize how much I was missing as far as beautiful little details (like all kinds of different vegetation and beautiful accents) on the switch! Has anyone heard if they might be fixing that for Switch users in the future? I noticed a beautiful sky of stars finally with the new update so I’m hoping more will come! Or maybe my game is just glitched and I didn’t realize it lol

on switch its mainly a performance issue, thats why it looks… like it does low graphic settings to make the game playable on switch

Switch has worse graphics unfortunately, no eta for changing that, I think it might be due to it being less powerful than a (stronger) PC... Would be nice to see the PC graphics on Switch, but I'd rather they fix the current issues like warping deer, NPC's jumping from spot to spot unless you're near, and stuff switching to the higher-detail model only after you've looked at it already for a few seconds...

For anyone who Plays XIV there is a wide knowledge that people mod and cheat, The issue is that there are so many rolling out all at once and new ones popping up every day that it's hard to keep up with a studio as big as Sqenix.

SE doesn't even bother with an anticheat, the only times cheating is a real issue in the game though is in PVP and ig world first races. they come down on the latter (hoo boy have the ultimates all been....something lately) and really do need to more on the former but do those ban waves when it comes to stuff like RMT along when there's real proof of cheating, though you can never stamp out RMT completely

A gathering bot in FFXIV though doesn't cause players the same grief that one in Palia does, though, because nodes are instanced

It wouldn’t STOP people from choosing to cheat, but in the case of palium nodes I think the devs addressing the distribution/spawn rates of the nodes would reduce the amount of people cheating to find them.

People tend to use cheats when they find something inconvenient and un-fun. Make it more fun and less stressful, and people likely will use cheats less. Of course this isn't a blanket statement, plenty of other reasons, some people just like to get every advantage they can even if it's pointless, but that's also a reason

Yea, everyone I used to play with is since long gone. I played in the beta's and then left in October, just now coming back 4 months later (and while many of the bugs we faced 'at that time' were addressed like our houses and furniture floating way up in the air and many many other bugs) the cake party nerf, the storage size, and the fact that they changed storage on other plots, is just dumb. Why would we pay so much gold for other plots when the storage was nerfed as well? I sure won't be buying anymore than I already had before i left. They called it an exploit. There's a water well you can get from one of the guilds, I'm assuming Badruu's Farming one, and that one can be used to refill watering cans It's a hefty-ish cost, but it's so nice to have on your plot

A friend of mine and I were talking last night (he played with me at beta and launch) and I shared my screen with him, the smoke coming out of the fireplace now looks like big pieces of mis-shapen pieces black fabric all jumbled together. I'm not a very tech person but as far as I know the weird numbers are just a side effect of the actual error, which is that you're not connecting to the server properly. people are able to get screenshots of it because when it happens you're also sitting on the load screen for ages

it's not actually showing increased player activity it's just the connection not working right

it always returns the full queue size and if no hosts are in load balancer with nowhere for the queue to go, well, there's only one outcome

I don't remember what the exact interval on the matchmaking request is but the load balancer obviously updates fast enough for the number to only persist for the first request. Which makes sense given how fast server instances seem to spin up. I wonder what the memory footprint of a server is but it wouldn't surprise me if it's like 50 MB

anyway you'd expect them to at least cap it at like 5000, and/or not allow login before the cluster is up, instead of leaking the actual number of players

Some of the villagers really enjoy specific starstones as gifts, but if you've already done that or if you prefer the funds, you can sell them. And if you have any star-quality stones, you can place them as decorations.

there's nothing quite as infuriating as renown caps. As there is only an terribly small amount of things it can buy and it really discourages you from playing

I wouldn't mind a way to spend renown on some kind of consumable item or so, and keep the cap... Renown cake, you can buy it from one of the villagers (Reth? Delaila? Ashura?) for 100 Renown once you got the other renown stuff, gives you 100 focus and, for example a sparkly effect when you walk/use the glider/etc or something like that for the next in-game day... (Costs are just an example, but some silly little thing that lets you burn renown...)
Could be introduced as in "Hey [Player], I saw you're working hard and wanted to make you a little reward, good job."

I've been having nothing but problems all weekend trying to access the market during main market hours. it's fine if I go at the very beginning, it's fine at the very end, and it's fine when the market is closed. but during like game time 8 pm - 1 am I basically can't get in
