Oh! I had this issue before. If you jump first it'll toggle the interaction button. That, or if you're on your PC you have to wiggle your computer mouse slightly until the choice to interact with it comes up.

I play with a controller and have found those two options work best for me to fix it when I have interactive objects not pop up the options to interact. I hope that helps!

I'd hope they give us more garden plots, it's a frequent player request, but I suspect they won't (happy to be wrong about this) because I think they're always looking for ways to slow down money making to slow down game progression. If they do give us more plots then I expect something else will be added, removed, or nerfed to offset the potential increased tomato/potato/apple production that will come after we've grown enough of new crops.

I’m fine with the 9 we have but as we get more large crops I can see me wanting at least a few more. Especially if they add more tree types since they take up a whole plot.

This is the first game I’ve really followed from early development, but I imagine balancing features is a tough job, especially if the devs know they want to add things later on (new skills that lead to more revenue options) but aren’t sure when/how they’ll be implemented and if it’s worth adjusting things ahead of time or nerfing stuff once the new skills, etc are added I don’t think I could ever work on a live service game. Lots of pressure to please the community as you go.

But yes, I’d rather not see artificial slowdown of progress. That just really hurts everyone. Especially players who can’t play often.

I can understand the difficulty in balance play/money/progression with all other game features, but I suspect one of the factors for slowing us down is they just don't have much more finished and lined up for us to do. I think the weak and incomplete introduction of Subira is some evidence of that. This upcoming Luna event has been planned for a while, I believe the Maji Market was a trial run for this event. Once we're past that maybe we'll get more new stuff rolled out, I'm hoping we get at least one new map sometime this spring. If we don't I wonder about how long they can keep the majority of their current player base.

I hope so too. I really loved the game and played it for way too many hours. I'm still hanging around here and Reddit because of how much I care about it. I want it to succeed. I want it to be better. However the silence from S6 this past month+ was very telling to me and I finally broke my addiction to Palia and have pretty much stopped playing. I'll be happy to jump back in with the new event, but going in cautiously and waiting to see how much glitches bork the game.

Someone in my personal life didn’t realize the game wasn’t into 1.0 yet and got really miffed at the state of the game. After that got cleared up they decided to step away for now, I keep them updated on bigger updates but I think they plan to wait until the games more polished. Super reasonable choice, there’s lots of other things to do and games to play in the mean time.

I'm talking about the janky glitches and the introduction/removal/bugged new features that became a regular occurence starting in September/ October. I don't remember the game being so bugged when I joined at open beta, but maybe I was still in my honeymoon or newbie phase and didn't encounter or notice them.

The games always been a bit buggy, but yeah I think the devs were pushing out content too fast for their own good. Bugs became much more common for a while, perhaps due to not enough time for internal QA, it’s hard to say. Hopefully the slower updates this year will mean waaaay less bugs that get through to the players.

So, i'll just say that i've seen the game in a much worse state in the before times too, but that was kind of on purpose

The beta launch build was definitely higher quality and i think it's mainly because they didn't have a set patch schedule back then. They pushed things live whenever they were ready, which resulted in updates that were a lot more polished

I think the two week patch cycle was a bad decision, which they also seem to agree to as they are now moving away from it. Hopefully we'll have better quality updates again, but we'll just have to wait and see how the first few turn out as they adjust to the new schedule

Yes, that's what I was trying to express. I don't know code or game development so don't have the language, but the game I experienced in the early weeks after open beta seemed to me to be better quality, more stable, and so I was surprised when so many problems started to pop up mid September.

Starfield is going to be great, once CK2 is released. Already have a half-dozen mods to make for it. Couple of them should add a solid 100-150 hours of play to the game. Might have to put out a general call for Voice Actors like I've done with some of my work for Skyrim too.

One thing that has bugged me from day one is that although there are only 2 zones in the game, while I'm in one zone I cannot look at a map of the other zone. I've never played another video game in 40 years that had this problem (well, at least not counting NES). When we open the map, we should be able to toggle between viewing the 2 zones.

In this day and age, I cannot fathom why they don't virtualize these game servers, do the updating on one, leave the other live, fiddle with the updated side to make sure it's not a spider-dropping, then simply switch VM's, take the outdated one down, replace it with the updated one, all pretty seamless, then they have the last working "old" version, as well as the updated "new" version, should a rollback be required, just reverse the process. If not, then update the first server with the new update, rinse and repeat for the next.

It's much, much better if everything is wrong at the same time than only some things being wrong

Some changes also probably need downtime. Game servers spin up and down all the time, which lets them update those whenever, but the ones hosting the database(s?) also need some care. Especially when new things are added for example

Absolutely the opposite, because support can just mail you stuff you're missing and send logs to the dev team so they can find and fix the issue. Tickets help fix the problem for everyone else and for you specifically if they can restore your progress and mail you something youve lost

you can move the table into a room and then in h menu right click the room to pick everything up in there, i recommend adding a hallway onto your house and putting it in there so you don’t destroy any actually decorated rooms

then just leave the daisy pot in inventory until they announce a fix

I just play this to fill in time between support phone calls.. kind of glad it doesn't really have a final destination at this time... it's something to do. I also find it quite interesting, more from a mechanical standpoint. There are a lot of very cool systems in Palia, and overall, it has a vibe that reminds me of Legend of Zelda: Windwaker/LoZ: Twilight Princess. Yes, it does lack combat, and yes, it had bugs. It's also still a Beta, so that is expected.

Nah removing pin doesn't effect anything. Wearing a pin might be brought up in dialog. You can break up with them which takes you back to 0

Removing the pin just removes the pin and takes away any possibility for unique dialogues from other NPCs saying stuff like "Oh, is that (Insert Name's) pin?"

In order to restart romance progress you have to click the gear and actively select to break up with the character via there.

My method (for a clear field): Decide what I'm growing. Prep all patchs if they've turned to dirt. Apply fertilizer. Plant seeds. Water. Using an Exquisite Watering can, I walk down the 2nd column/row and just keep watering, It gets the whole 9x9 at once, and takes maybe a minute. Prep and fertilize takes about the same, so I've maybe 3 minutes committed. After that, it's off to find gems to sell. Come back with full inventory, dump stuff in the bin, check the fields. Pull the weeds, water the dry spots, rinse and repeat. When crops start popping up to harvest, I keep what I want, sell the rest, and by 6am (or 6pm), I can count on a clean bin and an average of 15,000 gold coming in

I'm not sure how much Pallium to stockpile. Got 100 bars and 100 ore collecting dust right now. All my gear is Exquisite, so not really using it for upgrades. Just about fully furnished house, so don't need (I don't think ANY) to make the items I don't yet have.. same with Silver and Gold, though I'm still waiting on 60 gold ore to convert sometime this month. Blacksmithing is one of my hobbies, so I can guarantee it does not take an hour or more to melt silver or gold. It takes minutes at most - and yes, technically a "blacksmith" works iron, a silversmith works silver and goldsmith works gold, but at the end of the day, it's all hot metal and does pretty much the same things.. pours when liquid, turns into a solid when cool.

There are bits and pieces you can pick up. Kenli did the importing of the Chaapas. He'll admit to it in conversation. He's also got a little bit of a strange fixation with them, but then, I've met Eshe, so I can't blame him. I have to admit, I thought they were kind of cute too when I first saw one. Thought it was some kind of cat-creature, so I didn't shoot it, then I saw it nose-dive and dig in and realized it was a gopher, and it was war.

Start to finish, if I power up my little crucible, put 1.5 ounces of silver in, I can pour that into a lost-wax ring mold in 4 minutes.
Now, granted the average size of a "bar" of metal (or ingot), is 1 kg (or 35.27 ounces). It wouldn't take more than 30 minutes to smelt and pour 35.27 ounces. Would take quite a while longer to cool though.

It's a good question, but I think the best answer is that it's sort of open-ended? Some NPCs ask the player about their family, and you're able to answer with details, but other times it seems like the player knows very little about their past and humanity's culture. You can sort of decide either way depending on what you prefer.

There is a *-Quality one, as a special reward in ToG. If memory serves, it's inside the small building with the fire icon over the door. You have to return to it after completing ToG.

If I recall, there are normal and *-Quality Bahari Glowbugs. They look different than the Paper Glowbug.

The issue is, sometimes we don't have much time to play and roam around just for paliums. Paliums used to be so easy to obtain than flow trees before. No struggle, no fight between players.

But now, in my region, people just break it without announcing it, so we have paliums crisis now , everyone doesn't want to wait because the others won't wait or share it either.

So I'm trying to get to this island in the background. this is as high as i can get on the lighthouse. I always come up short on the island. the walls of the island are not climbable so I have to land flat

I've never managed to get up there! It's possible the island just doesn't have physics right now and you're not so much coming up short as hitting the edge of the world. That said, I have seen video of people who managed to get to the top of the lighthouse using the geyser just north of the lighthouse, so it's worth trying!

Idk if anyone would agree, but I think that friend levels for those you can’t romance should be higher, like how about ten levels instead of only 4 I say for non romanceable npcs bc romance quests exist obvi but just saying bc I got to level 4 with Sifuu and she’s my Shepp so it’s not worth talking to her anymore :( same with a few other npcs of mine I have finished all quests of

it doesn't matter how many levels they add, u'll eventually always hit a dead end + they make npcs romanceable(hodari and tuesday subira for example) from time to time, but I understand where u're coming from
quite funny to read that bcs all I read from others is why it takes so long to reach lvl 4 with a villager (which is not rly the case its rather fast)

While cooking, the mixing table and the oven won’t let me use star quality ingredients. I’ve burnt up a decent amount trying to figure out what the problem is.

this probably works because the menus are connected to each other. I remember being in a cooking party where people were complaining because the host was crafting a few overprep stations during the recipe and it was causing extra menu jumping for those trying to cook

So like. I love the game I love the characters. With games like this I get super into character analysis over everything, and I've noticed there's a disconnect between how the female presenting characters and male presenting characters are written.

I think this is shown first of all in the fandom's faves. Like I see a lot of Hassian and Reth, because, genuinely they are greatly written and well developed. They have unique backstories that have changed the way they move through the world and changes the way other characters interact with them. However, I see nothing like this with any of the femme characters. I thought it might just be my perspective so I asked a few people and they got it. All the femme characters, spare maybe eloise, caleri and sifuu (all non-romanceable) have such potential to be great but they all act as tools for the development of mascs.

I could list all the characters, but to save time I'll show counterparts to the characters I've already mentioned. Tish is made to be the kind, girly romanceable character. She is Reth's brother but doesn't seem to have any reaction to his backstory, nor have much of her own from what I've seen. All the characters treat her in the same, non-distinct nice way. Tamala seems more fleshed out- I was really intruiged by her at first because I felt like there was a lot she might be hiding but then her history with Hassian was discovered and then she sort of lost all of that potential. She doesn't really have any emotion or opinion towards what happened, but the last 4 interactions I've had with her have been about it. it's very difficult to feel engaged with the story once you notice that she's just there to explain hassian's inciting incident because it wouldn't be in character if he did. Where's the sense of loss? The irritation over him wasting her time? Something.

I want to see the characters feel more fleshed out. As the game changes I'm hopeful the femme characters get more focus independent of mascs

This was actually a fairly common feedback when people were first encountering the NPCs and working their way through the stories. It isn't that the femme characters are all awful or unlikable or badly written across the board, but as you mention they could always use some more depth. And I want that for any character, regardless of gender. There's something I like about all of Palia's NPCs, some of them just need a bit more work.
