Reth sells recipies himself, and through registers at the fair and the tavern. Then there are also friendship recipes and recipes you find in people's homes.

If one person cooks 1 round of an item for a stack of x3, that's 3 to the goal. A stack of x30 dishes is 30 soups. Each person's stacks count individually

Yes, some recipes need two ovens. An example is loaded flowtato. That starts in the oven and requires an oven to cook the bacon.

It really depends on how many people you expect at an event. If you're doing groups of 4ish people a standard kitchen setup might be enough, but a lot of recipes come down to prep stations for chopping or stirring so I'd go extra on those. My small group cooking area is 4 of each station and I plop extras down depending on the recipe.

On the other hand if you expect 10 people or even more you're going to need a lot of stations and you'll need to consider your recipe for overprep ingredients. For instance with a Sashimi party we may have 5 people on stoves overcooking rice.

Running back and forth on bahari's shore checking at all spawn points usually gives them enough time to have respawned on your next round :-) There probably are faster ways, but it's fairly effective even on its own. If you have free requests, ask for it through those too.

sometimes in picking them up another spawns near you so worth doing a little spinny spin as you go i find

(i guess if you pick up the "last" one then it spawns another in that area again?)

doing it in a pair has been good for me when i can too because you both get the beard (as long as it doesn't despawn when one of you picks it up) so you get kinda double the amount if you then do lures together etc

What do you mean? Like the game glitches and won't let you stir? Or like you just don't get to the first stir in time?

Some dishes require you to stir twice for completion and I can only stir once in game.

Yeah, but is it like, it says to press the key but nothing happens when you press it? Or it brings up the stirring mini game but nothing happens when you hold down the button? Because that would be a bug. But the first stir is usually on a different timer, so if you miss it within that time frame, you can't do it later.

So if it's not the first two things, then it could just be that you're missing the window when you need to stir. I can usually chop two things before I stir.

but if you prefer to cook solo either stock up on your preferred focus food or put 4-5 campfires in a circle and grill meat and unstarred fish :)

just went ahead and did it. first pic is standard starred muujin bahari, second with pink salt. seems like the 25coins per salt buff is accurate

it sounds small but its an extra 12k for a x50 cooking party.... seems to make more profit than both cake and burgers

Looking at the screenshot, the 75 extra up there is per plate, iirc Muujin Bahari gives you three plates per round of cooking :-) So, 75*3=225 gold total.

The TL;DR version is: sign up for a role you're capable of doing and feel comfortable doing. Bring enough ingredients to stay the entire party. Bring the ingredient type you signed up for. The number of ingredients you bring is based on the number of rounds the host specifies. Access someone else's plot by utilizing the "add friend" feature and then the blue board at your plot to sync to them.

They definitely can be. I encourage you to peruse the parties channel here and the website Palia players use to host parties -- especially, look for "legendary Maws" parties. These are usually fish stew or sashimi, which require easy ingredients like garlic or rice. You can buy garlic from Zeki and grow rice fairly quickly/buy it from Badruu. These parties can help you get a fund of gold.

Yep! It's the Palia party website where you can find parties hosted by Palia players.

Thankfully, you don't need the recipes yourself it participate in the parties, and yep! You can use any fish in the sashimi recipe if you'd like to.

some recipe like muujin bahari give a huge amount of xp per item made, but making them is so inefficient that joining any starred apple cake party is a tenfold of xp with next to no effort per player

starred dishes are never guaranteed! you can use starred ingredients and you can cook the dish faster (alone or with others) to improve your chances of getting the starred dishes though!

You're correct. The recipe must be started starred to be able to use star or regular ings. (fish in this case) if it's started reg you can only use regular fish.

I actually went looking for a chart on this and I couldn't find one. I know that the value of the sashimi is based on the value of the fish. Maws has a base value of 2980g, Cloudfish by contrast is only worth 445g. So that's a big downgrade. Most folks say sashimi is only worth it for epic quality fish.

On the other hand, the other mats are extremely cheap, so its not a big loss if you test it and see if it's worth it.

A Bahari Bream won't work for Trout Dinner. You have to use a trout species, like Prism Trout, Cutthroat Trout or Rainbow Trout.

You can find cooking parties in the #1445866314949202012 section. Basically there's a post with a link where you sign up to the role you want. You then need to bring that specific ingredient for that specific role. Some roles (such as Oven) do not require any ingredients.

Some hosts mention if their party is beginner friendly so I suggest you and your friend look for those

Personally if I'm on FF, I keep the starred apples in my backpack and the UI auto-chooses that for me. I also manually select starred apple if I'm anxious on the cue card. I never have room in my lockbox for stuff lol.

hey everyone, im trying to use palia parties to set up a cooking party for celebration cake, but i dont understand what it says. you need 4 sweet leaf per dish, so if i were to do 50x id need 200 sweat leaf. but for some reasion palia parties is saying i only need a 100 total. so im confused

You need 4 sweet leaves for 1 round of cakes (1 sweet leaf for frosting, 3 sweet leaves for 3 batters).

If you're doing a x100 rounds of cake and you alone are doing all 4 sweet leaves, that's 400 sweet leaves.

Typically, 1 person does 1 sweet leaf role in a party. That person would need 100 sweet leaves for their 1 role.

On PPA, they combined the 3+1 into one sign up -- as people sign up for sweet leaf, it will fill both cards. You only need 4 people for the 4 sweet leaf roles.

In the screenshot you specifically have, it looks like a x50 party. This means 1 person on 1 sweet leaf role needs to bring 50 sweet leaves.

Yes but as you said I need 3 people for sweat leaf batter and 1 person for sweat leaf frosting. Each person needs 50 sweat leaf each which is a total of 200. But it shows 4 spots for sweat leaf batter and 4 spots for sweat leaf frosting. That's basically 4 spots too many.

Right, 4 roles for sweet leaves at 50 rounds means a total of 200 sweet leaves (50 per person).

As I described above, the two sweet leaf cards act simultaneously together. When 1 person signs up, it fills a spot on both cards. In theory, only 4 people can sign up (unless you allow Overprep for that ingredient).

so for most recipes I know if you start it starred one still can use unstarred ingredients- however I just learned in pumpkin pie - this is not the case as it will not accept the wheat to be unstarred.
Are there any other recipes like this? I host parties - and this is the first time I have come across an issue like this 🙁

It's likely because pumpkin pie takes 3 wheat for 1 round, and you may have had 1 or 2 starred wheat -- when you do not have enough starred to meet the minimum count (3 in this case), the recipe will fail bc it will not combine your starred items with unstarred to meet the minimum requirement.

So the recipe can and will mix starred and unstarred BUT, you have to be in factors of 3 relative to your number of rounds with the starred wheat to not break the recipe.

Since meaty SF has only 1 rice, it may not have broken because it won't accept your unstarred. Did you do both stirs for the meaty SF? The rice would be cooked on another stove and then added back to the main stove as well, were you able to do that?

Yes you need two stoves to complete meaty SF. Since it starts on a stove, it will hold your starting bowl there. The rice needs to be cooked on a second stove to be able to be used in the recipe.

This is a problem I noticed with having cooking stations in various places on my plot. You have to pay extra close attention before starting a recipe because it won't give the "can't cook this, you don't have all the required stations" warning when your station is just in another room.

How many stations do you really need to host 4-8 players cooking parties ? 3 of each? 4 of each? I really wanna step my cooking levels up but my lack of experience makes it hard to decide what's actually needed lol

I thought 4 mixing tables, 4 stoves, 6 prep station and 3 ovens should do the trick... tell me if you'd tweak any of these numbers

it can vary greatly on what u cook
i recommend just having some materials to make more station when needed and hte furniture workbench so when u need naother oven bamm placed it down
others are welcome to provide more better advise if they have it

That's a good idea but I'd rather have a "permanent" setup. I made a large enough room to fit a lot of tables... and yeah, I understand different dishes have a need for a different setup.

if you dont mind being a little bit under max focus or eating more i definitely recommend tomato soup or steak dinner! i dont think spicy stir fry is a bad option but you can also try out stuffed cabbage rolls or chili oil dumplings to see if you prefer cooking either of those more

Most crops sell for less than their seeds cost. Early game it's better to just save crops and wait until you get preserve barrels or seed makers or, as someone else said, join cooking parties.

You'll need to bake the bacon in the oven, then add that in, and also you'll need to flip the pan before that first timer runs out (the one highlighted in red in the picture you sent)
