As the game is telling you, you have crops preventing the movement of the tile. Your bean plant crosses over two tiles. You can delete that bean plant now or wait out its harvest.

I have one more soil on the left that allows me to move the soil itself, the two on the right are kind of merged and I think I cannot move them for that reason.

I dont mind deleting the soil but I have no idea how, to do it

Not the soil, the bean plant in the middle. It's sitting on two tiles. That's why you can't move the soil tile. You can delete a crop with the hoe, on PC it's right click mouse

Was wondering what all I need to do to get the "Answering the Call" quest (as far as I know, thats the intro quest to the area from a google search)

You will need to do these quests before the Elderwoods content is unlocked.

Infected things will be locked behind quest progression, but you'll probably have to go in there at some point before you get the MSQ anyway because it's the only place to get Palium now.

Completing the temples and vaults can be grindy, but hopefully it won't take long for you to catch up.

I’m trying to report a bug but the website won’t let me login in like at all. I’m also not very well at the moment. The bug that I have to report is Elderwoods all 15 stone people one as I’ve already done it and everything but it’s not ✅ off and I’m out of the flowers that you use for them none in the shop it says (picture) the witch lady, I’ve found all of them. This is stupid. This needs to be fixed like when it happened, like right a way. I have looked all over in the Elderwoods and only have 13 out of 15. I’ve done it already though.

Is the relic the Elderwood Idol? Sometimes the quest doesn't catch up until you craft the Tier 4 version, which would be the next step in the quest anyway.

i would suggest looking up a youtube walkthrough to check where in the temple she's supposed to be for whatever step you're on, you can also try relogging or leaving the temple and re-entering, if nothing else works make a support ticket

having the same issue with one of the quest with a Treassure for the new map. Prismbeards Lost Treasure. been digging the suspicious spot but nothing happened. and I have two of the NPC stuck in that area.

The prismbeard is bugged since Aug 18th. The devs are already aware and aiming for a fix on the update on the 10th.

Okay close the game and resync your date and time then reopen the game. See if she pops up.

I got the Key from the lava pond. I also go the bag but she didn't craft me any arrows. But I managed to go through all the obstacles with no problem. I feel like I won't be able to proceed to the other quest.

I'm sorry we can't figure out what's going wrong, but submitting a player support ticket is probably the best option here. I hope it self-resolves, sometimes these issues do, but you should send all your screenshots and detail your issue in a ticket.

If I’m using the Amulet (fully upgraded) I need to use a potion to forage infected stuff, right?
Furthermore, what would be the most efficient way to collect essence solo? If foraging, what areas would you recommend based on amount of infected stuff (so I can get the most value for the potion)
If bug catching, what area and time would you recommend for a honey lure?

yes, unless you party with someone with bag of illusion equipped. (they don't even need to be nearby, just somewhere in elderwood)

personally i like tree farming for solo. should get about 2k per hour with max brighteye amulet. i would recommend mitana grove or I4/I5, clear the area of non infected trees then focus on chopping the infected ones asap so more can spawn. can also pick up the forage in the area and hunt infected creatures.

i have no idea if honey lures are any good for solo farming essence tbh but perhaps someone else can chime in. it just seems more efficient to use them in a party

Hey guys I’m wondering if anyone can help I have a few questions, I’m trying to upgrade my bag of illusions in order to farm essence, I’m loosing my mind over fishing currently at level 8 fishing, I’ve been using glom worms fisherman’s brew etc but no luck finding umbraan betta🤦🏻‍♀️so god help me with the others, where’s the best place to find the betta, angelfish, and inyrevn mermaid ? which ponds or any general advice please and also for each of the relic tiers it’s saying I need a bag of illusions? But I’ve already got one crafted so that’s confusing me. I’ve also just crafted a honey lure but because I’ve only got the first tier relic would I still need potions and bombs ?

for the fish, anywhere with freshwater, see map below - as long as it's the right biome there isn't any particular pond that's better than another for a particular fish. just gotta keep fishing until you get the one you want

i'm not entirely sure what you mean by the relic tiers thing but i'm guessing you're looking at the next tier of the bag of illusions relic? in which case it just means you need to have crafted the previous tier of the relic to craft the next one. you can't skip from tier 1 to tier 3 for example.

and yes for the honey lure you will need to use elderwood smoke bombs to catch infected bugs. you won't need potions, those are only for infected forage (trees, orchids, piksii berries etc.) and tier 1 of bag of illusion lets you pick up infected forage without potions anyway

Yeah I checked too and I’ve noticed that some of the flowering bushes were labeled pink or something and ended up being purple so I just moved them to the correct column on my plant growing spot. But every single blue bush I’ve collected from the event has grown to be black even though when I collected them from the event they were a blue

It does matter in the sense that -- if you put in random stuff when you initially made an account, and you put in a DOB that is under the terms of use age for this game, you're going to be locked from changing that without the help of player support.

You can retry making a new account, and putting in a correct DOB for certain, on a private browser.

Sometimes the palia website is weird and doesn't log you out of an account you signed into.

Gardening is slower at making money but allows you to be afk there's a really good beginner layout I can send from #🌱│gardening

If you want fast money partying up and doing like an epic or legendary fish dish party will have you make bank. There's parties for doing Maws Poke Bowl or Maws Sushi. More beginner friendly ones also exist!

Cooking parties are best for money, especially with epic fish (or higher) dishes.
If they're not your thing, hunting, fishing and bug lures can all be lucrative. Not sure what's best. Obviously all better in groups (less so with fishing though)

Gardening is a good side hustle but is not intended to be your main source of income

the Midnight Blossoms nameplate? that one is just a random drop from picking up flowers from the flower bloom event, so it's not going anywhere. the flower event stays, it's just the bulletin bundles + bundle rewards that are changing

yes it's what you thought, it's the same flowers for everyone and everyone can pick them all up. it's definitely possible for some flower events not to spawn any cottonballs but to not get any for TWENTY events is incredibly unlucky.

the best thing to do is after you have attended one event, switch servers (by server syncing with friends or travelling to another map and back) and go to that server's event as well, you can fit in several events per day before the flowers start despawning around 4pm

The reason you need another stove is because your recipe probably STARTS on the stove and occupies that stove, rendering it unusable to stir the rice in this recipe.

Might sound like a silly question but I’m a bit confused on how it works and don’t just want to try it and potentially loose ingredients.For cooking I’ve now only got starred crops but to use these I need to select use starred ingredients. Now my question is do I have to select that or will it automatically allow me to use starred crops? Or if I do select starred then if I haven’t got other starred ingredients will it automatically allow me to use the none starred for other items? Or do you have to have everything either none starred or starred to cook?

you don't need full starred ingredients. using star ingredients increases the chance but doesn't guarantee it.

and yes if you click "use star quality ingredients" but you don't have any star quality of certain ingredients, it will use non-star ingredients instead. if there are any star quality ingredients you want to save put them in your lockbox so they won't be used

i might have broken a quest.. for context: i am trying to complete the quest “troubled waters” and i did everything right up to the point i was trying to talk to subira after finding the mask, a rune stone, and picked up a dig spot. the dialogue was fine… but then it froze like it was loading but i couldn’t back out of the dialogue or hit the continue button. i sat there for 10 minutes waiting and ended up force closing the game and reloading. i still had the mask in my quest inventory and re picked up the dig spot, but now i can’t talk to subira and continue the quest. i ran around the entire area twice

could you post the main story section of your quest log? you unlock the potion store and learn to collect essence through the main story in elderwood, but you need to have finished the main story in kilima/bahari to get the elderwood main story quests

brighteye amulet boosts the amount of essence you get from forage, hunting, fishing, bug catching. so it's not much use to you right now...

if your game crashed during quest dialogue, you are likely going to have to submit a player support ticket. Especially if you've repeated the quest tips and it's not progessing.

I would reccommend looking up a walkthrough from AyinMaiden and looking at the walkthrough on the Wiki, repeating those steps, and see if you can move forward.

Take screenshots/video record along the way, and send these in with your ticket if you have to.

So here's what you can do, you can "upgrade" your switch account so that it is linked to a palia.com account, that you can then use on xbox.

you will need to use a new email to start this process.

You should be able to link your switch character to a palia.com account. THEN, you should be able to input this into the xbox 🙂

Yeah, I think that's what you can do right now. When the work week starts again, hopefully they respond to you promptly and let you know what else you need to do. Based on what they've asked you to do, you haven't done anything wrong/incorrect here, it's just that the reset email never comes.

Your message to them was pretty clear from what I saw -- but maybe the support person was a bit confused that your initial email used isn't one that's accessible.

if you're fishing in the oceanic/coastal parts of EW, and you're using glow worms, it's simple RNG after that. Maws is legendary so it can take a while to get one

Hey everyone! Jina gave me the first Emberseeker stone, and I’m trying to contribute it to the Vault of the Flames so I can start collecting the others. The problem is: it says the stone is there, but when I try to contribute it, it won’t let me. I’ve tried checking and leaving, but it’s still stuck. Do I need to finish the first three stones before submitting the first one, or am I doing something wrong? Can someone please explain?

Not that one. That one is called A Catalyzing Caper. There's a quest that is called the Vault of Flames that is issued by Jina. Once you've completed that quest it unlocks the flame bundle so you can start contributing to it.

You need to talk to ||Jina in the Night Sky Temple|| as part of the quest before it'll let you contribute.

an "easier" way to get it is by joining a Shmole Plushie hunting party. Shmoles drop shrooms of all kinds, including the oyster shrooms too. By joining a party that focuses on getting plushies, you'll be getting multiple stacks in a couple of hours. I think it beats running around searching for em. That and u also have the chance of getting plushies, so its a win-win (?

In my experience you get 1 or 2 every 150 clams. I normally save them and open in batches when I reach 150. It's less painful than opening them one by one and getting frustrated there's never a pearl.

You can try to resync your date and time. Completely close the game resync and open the game.

Then just give it some time(30 minutes seems to be the point where things start working again if it doesnt happen right away) and go back to the quests and see if they progress.

For trios level 5 you'll get a letter from Zeki.

And quick question on the doghouse did you finish/find the first set of clues(the ones before the rooms) and talked to Hassain to get more info?

If that is the intended path, then you could try leaving and re-entering the dungeon. Sometimes a reboot of your game can help to fix bugged stuff too.

Hiya everyone! i have a serious problem I have no idea how to solve. I'm unable to unlock the NPC named Subira. I've done Eshe's 3 Proving Quests, Find Your Shepp and the Acceptance Ceremony. So far I still haven't received the quest Fit for a Watcher that was supposed to unlock Subira/Get her to arrive in Kilima. I think it's a bug so any assistance is really appreciated.

nothing to do with the patch and it's not a bug. your gardening level affects the quality of the crops you harvest, once it's high enough you will always harvest star crops even with normal seeds and no quality boost

Starred bugs are less common than the unstarred ones. They make a chiming sound and are surrounded by sparkles, so you can tell them apart.

I'm sorry, but these flower events kill my fun in Palia. Two sorts of the last flowers I need for the board don't spawn at the events in kilima or in the elderwood - or if they do, they are far too little to get this board done. @novel bough okay so they get their own decor limit and you can have extra chests on the other plots but youre storage limit remains the same.

Essentially any extra chests you put on your other plots are just to have access to your storage. No increase or decrease will happen

cause you have a much larger decore limit. and so i see people using it for flowers trees bugs and fish ect

Yup yup! We call them junk plots as it's a way to help with the storage limit. You put starred dishes, fish, insects etc anything that counts toward storage and can be displayed down in a separate plot so help alleviate the storage limit.

I am getting ready to rage quit bc I need a hypnotic moray but have tried 50 times with a glow worm in pavel mines and zeki’s with no luck. Someone said try in temple cave but it takes 1 hour to make a single glow worm and you can’t buy them until you’re level 10. Also you can’t request it like 🙃

Do the bobber trick to save your glow worms.

When the fish bites you can see what fish it is. If its not the one you want let it swim drown. Then reel in the line and recast

aside from what everyone else has said, i would fish at zeki's since you're more likely to get the hook time boost from other people fishing near you. the chance is the same at any place as long as it's the right biome. the temple cave kinda sucks tbh as you can only fish solo and there are no bubble spots.

you can also get more glow worms per hour from your farms by putting more expensive food in them (for example grilled fish made from fish caught with glow worms)

The only non-forageable I’ve gotten from the flower event was a potato pod prize bag, and it was hidden inside a rock… so I have NO idea what non-forageables look like in the event :(

Hi, I have a friend that’s stuck on the “wares in low places” quest. It keeps telling them to find the entrance to zeki’s night market. They’ve been to the sewer entrance behind remembrance and the bookshelf entrance but the quest still says the same thing

You get recipes while picking up flowers, not actual pots. Check your crafting table 🙂

They are all called Greenhome, you can search your worktable for them to see if you have any. Apparantly I have collected 8 recipes but I think I might have only actually seen one pop up when gathering 🙂

i think those are the ones you get at random from the flower event. You mean the namecards right?
