Whats the last step? You should have all stations cause otherwise you cant start the recipe. Did you have all ingredients? Or did you get a warning and started anyway?

That recipe is a bit tricky cause you need 2 of some ingredients like the crushed sweet leaf. Maybe you've missed that?

I've never had that happen before now. Before the uninstall and reinstall, I would be in sprint mode until I clicked to change back to jogging.

1. Blackout bug means you can't request items you haven't seen in your current play session
2. Patch made it so request items have to be in your inventory to gift them(presumed to be a bug)

In my Social tab, it used to be if I had not spoken to an NPC that day, they would have the blue bubble. It has swapped now; if I have spoken to an NPC that day, they have the blue bubble. No bubble if I haven't talked to them yet.

I'm not trying to farm them, I'm trying to avoid the trees they are sitting in because they literally give me a heart attack every single time they jump out at me from any tree I knock down and I would love to avoid this "jump scare" moment if possible. I touched some settings I never touched before while trying to get a larger frame of view of my character
(I changed the field of view from 30 to 60, hated it and immediately changed it back to 30)
Ever since, I’m stuck with this camera mode where half my character can’t be seen lol.
I’ve tried restarting the game, heck I even restarted my laptop, and I have video of when I changed the settings so I know I set them back correctly….

Fertilizer question. When do you use it? If I put it down when I plant it disappears at the end of the cycle. Do you use it in the beginning or all cycles or just at the end?

Fertilizer is consumed at the growth tick at 6am in game if the plant doesnt already have the same boost from a companion plant

If you are talking about harvest boost, thats a cumulative % applied every day
So if you put down 1 day out of 5 days (potato is 5 days example) there is only 1/5 chance of the boost happening at harvest

At lvl 50 gardening youre basically not gonna see a nonstar crop anymore. It doesnt matter though. Starred food still counts for your non starred food achievements.

You can still use non-starred crops when cooking with other starred crops. When you choose the option to use starred ingredients and you don't have any starred ones for a particular one, non-starred will be used. Just remember that if recipe uses more than one crop and you have only one starred, it will still try to use starred ones and you will fail. Examples:

1. Recipe requires any spice and you don't have any starred - you can use regular.
2. Recipe requires any spice, you have 1 starred spice sprouts and regular garlic - you can't use regular garlic.
3. Recipe requires 3 apples, you have one starred apple and 3 regular - you can't make it

You can put ingredients you don't want to use in the lockbox, they wont be used (or counted for cases above).

To sum up, just check the "star ingredients" while choosing the recipe and put in lockbox the starred itens you don't wanna waste and you are good. the game will auto use whatever is available normal or started to cook.

I am sorry juniper but the game is multiplayer out in the "world". However, your house plot is yours and can be locked to prevent even your friends from visiting. You can farm, fish, make furniture, cook, and decorate in peace.

For the most part you can ignore other people you see and just mine, gather, fish, cut trees, etc without having to coordinate with them. Flow trees are about the only thing that you NEED someone else for, and people are super friendly and call those out. You don't need them until later in game for crafting so don't worry about it.

tiny and small flowtrees can be cut down solo as well actually, only medium and large trees need at least 2 players almost everything is achievable alone except for the "together" weeklies, which are not required at all

Exactly. Those "together" weeklies can be done sort of accidentally anyway if you are just near other people, esp fishing. I am very much a solo player too so have never done group cooking, but that is not required or anything. I love that the game has rewards if you WANT to do something, but does not punish you for not maxing things out, or doing things fast enough. (cooking not included as the recipes can be tricky).

yeah true realised that with the hunting weekly a few days ago, killed random sernuks and they were hitted before by others and yeah fishing only requires the buff active for it to count, only weeklies would be bug catching and cooking where u actively need another player

Is there a way to force snap alignment of placed items? I'm making towers of identical bugs/fish. It seems like after the update it snaps to kind of on top of each other but there is some continuous movement so it's kinda impossible to get it perfectly aligned.

for example if we have this "salsa" that is one of the prepared ingredients and it contains 5 veggies, now if 2 veggies were star and 3 werent and we don't get starred salsa it will not matter that it's made from 2 star and 3 normal because if it's not star it will not contribute to the star outcome of the dish at all, correct?

Storing seeds take way less space than storing apples or jams

If you have no Quest (hotkey J for me) then put it in storage; it does not take up a slot. (I would never Throw Away a quest item; that habit could maybe really cause problems in game.)
