OH the Elderwood relics also work in tandem with each other, so if you get in a group with 1 person with a fully upgraded bag, 1 person with a brighteye amulet, etc then you can grind essence WAY faster. People will do honey lure parties because infected insects give a lot

Once you unlock flare arrows those help too, they tend to last as long as the resource does (as long as no one else harvested it before you got there)

Equip bow, equip flares, shoot flare at object, and it will automatically go straight up from the impact point. Feels counterintuitive, but makes it easy!

Yeah I honestly love ALL the npcs in this game. When you first meet them they appear like stereotypes, but then you dig deeper and go through their storylines and realize how complex they all are. And different characters resonate with different people and it's awesome to see

Grouping is the fastest way, with each person wearing a different relic (at minimum fully upgraded bag of illusion and brighteye amulet. Lures will attract infected critters. Solo, run in a circle and farm trees honestly, it's a bit slower but steadier income. Cut down regular trees to force infected ones to spawn more

You can build up to 8 chests and 3 lockboxes. If you already have those, you can upgrade the chests using a recipe you buy from the register in the furniture store (not Tish but the store itself). However the recipes get pricier as they go up in storage and require more valuable ingredients

It's the price for the recipes that really hurts newer players, more than the ingredients, imo. At the same time you're trying to get those chest recipes, you're also trying to decide if the backpack upgrades are more important, the tool upgrades, etc. It's a lot to think about and prioritize. Devs should really take a look at that, because older/long-time players likely don't remember that grind or had money stored away when things were introduced/changed.

Mkay, looking at regular vs elder vs proudhorn sernuk antlers, elders have more branches than regulars and Proudhorns have swirling horns that curve inwards at the tips. Also, elders and Proudhorns have darker antlers compared to their younger relatives, with the regulars having a cream/tan crown compared to the brown of elders and black of Proudhorns.

I assume what Hassian means is the number of branches, as IRL it takes multiple years past maturity for a deer (or most undulates, like moose or elk) for their antlers to reach their peak of impressiveness. I assume the horn growth is sped up for Proudhorns due to the increased Flow in their bodies, which probably causes the swirling seen in their horns

Also speaking of the sernuk's spots, I don't think you're far off from thinking the regular/base sernuks are younger, considering they've got the spots that mimic dappled light from tree canopies (the IRL reason for fawns having those spots). Elder sernuk also have colors to camoflauge themselves, as their coats seem to be used to blend themselves into the soil with their darker legs, lighter top, and streak of yellow perhaps mimicking clay or even fungi (if they're trying to blend into a fallen tree trunk)

The trees regenerate, so you need multiple people to cut them down to do enough damage to counteract the regeneration

Yeah. I imagine sernuk come in even smaller sizes as they grow but it's hard to imagine. They might shed their antlers ever year like irl deer do, irl deer shed their antlers but you can still tell their age from the number of prongs because they get new points each year when they regrow them. I believe the Order also has a special breed of sernuk they use so clearly they can be domesticated to an extent?

Not always. The sapling ones can be cut with one person (if their axe is strong enough to chop a sapling in one hit)

You can stack up to 100 fertilizer on each crop, it'll tell you when you've "filled" a spot. Personally I just reapply it as it's consumed

The smallest ones you can do on your own if you have the highest level axes, but anything larger you'll absolutely need at least one other person cutting with you. The largest trees always require help.

My only guesses as for what could've caused the purple-grey coloring is either selective breeding by Majiri or they come from a colder climate and it's camoflauge against stone or snow

if you want to find flow trees reliably, try to find groves in bahari bay, they are basically a forest of flow trees, those spawn in every 12am in game time, whoever finds it tells everyone in the server the location and wait until 3am in game time so everyone has a chance to chop them all

A "grove" of flow trees spawns in Bahari Bay every in game night at 12am, players will call out the location and usually try to wait til 3am for chopping them down so everyone gets a chance to get them. As long as you hit the tree once you will get the loot from it, and if your axe is too weak join a group

You can find individual trees with the Dowsing Rod item (https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Dowsing_Rod) that you can eventually craft after reaching a certain level of Foraging skill, but only the small ones can be cut alone. Others will require another player (which you can call out in chat). Almost all flow trees are in Bahari.

if you wanna try and be the first person to locate the grove, try to find high ground and be on top of it, in addition the grove will make a distinct sound when it spawns, follow where the sound originally came from and the grove will have a pinkish fade above the sky indicating the area where it spawned
