Give it a few mins to desync Fenris then try again. It needs to detach your login from the login server and game servers (as it thinks you're in game and in 2 places at once).

You can add multiple of the same chests and it will increase the storage but it's capped at a certain number of chests, writs only increase the size of the overall plot for placing more furniture as far as I'm aware

Tis a current bug at the moment if you try and obtain the workbench and your inventory is full it will put it in storage. and you cant access it because you cant craft storage without the workbench. You basically just bricked your account until it is fixed.

you want to go to Tish's shop and buy the copper chest blueprint when you get the gold. then replace your current chest with the copper ones will increase your storage to 6400 or around that iirc

Yeah the game over loads new users with alot and never the right reminders but they have been improving on that
And taking breaks is good (also heck yeah you grinding that out go you) in the start it feels sluggish and slow to get the storage increases and such but just go at your own pace, not all star items can be placed (jars my beloved) but in the early stages it can help
Also simple items you can run out and get no point holding onto em

well like an apple is worth 96 gold, star and a seed is worth 1050 gold, star also, so seeds are defo better to seell but the pumkin is the opposite, 132 gold for star crop and 37gold for the seed star

each crop produces a boost to those above/left/right/beneath, so using that and/or fertilizer, you can self water/weed your layout, or even harvest boost fert

ah they changed that, ok, you need to see the request window (PC default is O>heart tab at the top> present icon) then if you're able to fulfil someone's request, you can click gift. This is where you just try and get someone to request wood because it's easy to get and voila that's done.
Then head to http://paliatracker.com and click the drop downs for each villager, then find an item you know you can get easily, that isn't rare etc, then when chatting to them, check the bottom left of the chat window, there's a gift box there, do that for 5 different villagers.

Fishing is for sure annoying and hard without those buffs. Unsure about Elderwood specific buffs though, not ventured into there yet.

The villagers have different preferences for gifts. They don't all like the same things, and they each have rotating weekly wants that get you extra friendship XP. To see those 4 rotating items paliatracker.com is very helpful. And each character has a list of items they'll accept if you look them up on the Palia wiki

i probably wouldn't be as grumpy about twitch drops if they at least rotated them, instead of having it all FOMO fomo fomo.
i still dont like twitch drops- but that's moreso because of how freaking buggy it is and inconsistent getting drop progress is (not to mention, how long it takes to actually get said rewards for Palia, but.. meh.)

My plan going forward is to have a 2nd plot I dubed "picnic" it'll have my campfire and picnic rug surrounded by trees and all the frog and other plushies dotted around, as a sort of wilderness area. If I get a tent I'll put it there, then the rest of the plots will be farming and housing
