Went on one of my neurospicy hunting hyperfixations/excursions tonight. Spent like, 3 IRL hours taking advantage of a near empty server and just hunted like crazy. Walked away with over 500 sernuk meat. Not counting the starred sernuk meat, chapaa or muujin meat lol (or the insane amount of hide/fur, etc.) Then I got this message mid-hunt and it kinda clicked me out of it. Oops. I was afraid I accidentally shot at they were aiming for or something (although I'm usually pretty mindful of that) but turns out they were just watching me run all around 😂

How do I get leather, fabric, and silk?

Make sure you have the loom crafter - the recipe can be purchased from the Furniture Guild Shop. Once you've reached level 2, talk to me and access the Guild Shop for the recipe!

Or you can even buy the leather/fabric/silk directly from my store! (Look for the cash register.)

Leather comes from animal hide, fabric comes from cotton, and silk comes from silk thread obtained from rare bugs.

see that confused me too bc. i set my buzzy jar to make with inky dragonfly and i had 4 of them but it still cautioned me id be using star quality bug then i believe it took from another bug and idk which. i put all my star quality bugs away and had 2 star inky and 1 normal so it was 3 and it refused to work. i was super confused

Yeah it should only take three of the same bug that's the same quality for a jar, wherever it can pull from, including storage (just not locked) I personally just keep about 30 regular proudhorn beetles on hand for this from my mining runs so I don't have to scrounge for odds and ends bug wise.

Side note, I have lots of jars and I barely bug hunt- if you'd like to add me I can send you some when I log on a in bit!

I'd also argue we don't know if our choices affect the story yet, as the game is nowhere near complete. Right now, certain dialouge choices do affect it, with ending and reward. Down the line, it may matter more

Switch was doing so much better a few months ago... its just increasingly suffering more palia issues than any other platform.

one of our last patches we had - it was stated few of the main bugs that switch players were experiencing were fixed.. Despite the team focusing to fix many main issues , there are many making it less fun for switch users to enjoy Palia.. It is still a beautiful game on switch..
The current suggestion is to use Switch's internal memory than an SD card. You can try clearing the Switch's cache also apparently this helps a little

Would anyone be able to help me with explaining how to launch Palia from Steam without Steam being open (hopefully I asked that the right way) I read online that to use a controller on PC in this game you can't load in from Steam...

I don't see why not. In fact, most controllers work best if you just use a layout within Steam. That's how people used controllers before Palia finally got controller support.

@unreal plaza What does usingng a layout within Steam mean? Do I have to change something in Palia once it downloads? I've played on Switch and I strongly don't like how it plays so I want to try on steam but I don't play PC games,, and I don't know how to play with WSD keys and all that

If you go to Palia in your Steam library, there should be a row of icons on the top right (to the right of the green play button). If you click the controller it will give you options for controller layout. You can use the official one or edit it. You can also edit the controls within the in-game settings, but some controllers work better through Steam.

Yeah it's a universal unfortunately, double jumping a few times to deploy your glider resets the tools and you should be good to use them again

The only other thing you could do now is check EVERY inch of your plot.
In the out of bounds areas
Half in the ground
50m in the sky

And if you flipped between plots, there is a teeny, tiny chance it went with you which is completely inconvenient as it could be bugged into a wall or a house :/

Where did you have it last? If it was NAZ I SAW THAT. if it was on a builders item they tend to get yeeted under the map... They said they fixed that they did in fact not fix that

There is a chance the game did a oopsy woopsy and yeeted it under your map or to another plot

It doesn't like items being in fun places so they just teleport them somewhere dumb. But a grill is considered a crafter kekw
