In theory, for Macs, you can either 1) bootcamp (for Intel-based) and run Palia on the Windows partition, 2) for M1-based, use some mysterious program that should allow you to run .exes (I've only heard people refer to said program, but nothing on how it actually works), or 3) run it via GeForce (which is a subscription, so that's kind of a bummer, and it requires your Mac being from late-2017 or later, which puts me and my 2013 Mac out of luck...)

I’ve seen all the deer glitch out. Especially on switch. It’s a dumpster fire

The magic muujin do teleport sometimes. They seem particularly buggy around water. Sometimes they'll be like 30m away when their tree gets chopped

My impression is that the sernuks are much less likely these days to get trapped in the terrain

When they came back the muujin also started being invisible immediately after the tree is cut sometimes.

I've not seen many stuck recently, but I have had the elder sernuk's disappear after hitting them and have to look around to see where they went before I can shoot again.

If you walk up slowly to the chapaa you can get really close, maybe like 10-15m. Walk up with your bow drawn with a dispel arrow. Shoot it after it spits and it will get stunned.

They don’t even spawn in the spots that make them a little bit easier to catch solo. Like at the one cliff north of statue garden. Or on thorny where grove can spawn 😭😭

It depends on the group. It's a little frustrating when there are 5 people around me, I chop the tree and get 5 shots in and it gets away because there wasn't another landed shot. Don't get me wrong, I get that it can be tough, but in the moment I'm kind of annoyed. With more people your vision is more obscured and the muujin can move more erratically.

I'm so used to switching servers it's automatic now. Thankfully it's becoming less and less of an issue. The game really does try to pair you with your friends list. The more I add, the 'nicer' the servers are becoming

Depends on the arrow too. Regular arrows will one shot the Kilima sernuk and the level 1 sernuk in Bahari. The elders (darker hide with the split horns) take 4 slow down arrows. (not sure how many regular ones and the Magic Moose (sernuk) That boy seems to take at least 5 dispel arrows before he drops.

I've been doing something similar, but by blocking crummy players, since it also tries to avoid putting you in servers with people on your block list

Oh same here. I don't use the in game 'friends' list for socializing. I use it to keep around like minded players. Ones that don't yell at other players for just playing the game the way it's made. I used to get SO angry at 'rude' players. Now, I block ones that argue (for no good reason) and add people all of the time that are helpful in chat. Now most of the time the servers I land in are just great. I socialize here in discord :P

The stinky arrows work well too. I have a question, more like a few of them. I know that the gear level like standard, fine, exquisite make a difference in how well foraging, fishing, hunting, mining and farming goes. Does the actual numerical level of those skills make a difference? What about your character's overall level? Do your achievements help?

Also depends on if someone else has already hit the elder sernuk and it ran off from them for example, is why sometimes it takes less arrows to take it down.

Gear does indeed improve with upgrades. It's worth it. Example: Basic pickaxe takes a few hits to get simple stone. Once you're at the palium version (lvl 3?) it only takes 2 hits for almost all stone nodes regardless of size. Same with fishing rod/bow/axe. The higher the level the faster it is. (higher hit ratio) As for skills, yes, things become easier around lvl ... 20-25? I forget what it is , someone can confirm that. Not sure if achievements do more than 1. give a reward (if there is one) 2 open up the next thing/area/quest or whatever. (Some of the bundles unlock things after they're complete, don't want to spoil too much for you) <3

Is flow described by the game designers as being primarily a source of magic or is flow a source of energy like any other that can have various uses other than magic? (Basically what is the intention of the flow? To be essentially a source of magic or to be more than that?) 🙂

I wouldn't worry too much. The game is really good at giving hints on what to do next. Even once you've done almost everything there is to do. (I've been here a hot minute and still haven't completed some temples and achievements ;) ) Just enjoy yourself so the game doesn't become a chore.

No, there's not any actual interior doors, but in the housing plot selection menu there's an option to add different passageways between rooms!

Mine cat has a cat tower with 2 sleeping platforms and a 'cave', she has 2 window hammocks, 3 boxes she has claimed that are covered in towels and rugs. And she sleeps almost all day on the corner of hubs desk and all night on our bed. And chews your toes if you get too close. :P And now you know why my Palia palcats are in storage :P

Ours love suitcases, in on and around them, even from new, no matter if it's one of those hard shells ones they're all over it in ten seconds flat
