Have it running and you can mute the tab but not the video. Then keep track of the inventory on twitch for drops so you don’t stop early. You’ll get mail about it too

You can sell everything but it's wiser to keep at least 1 of everything that you got, just in case you need it for quests or something else

Flint doesn’t have many uses so I always sell that (save for a smol amount in my storage) otherwise keeping a couple of everything for crafting and selling the rest is good.

You’ll figure out what to horde vs sell as you play.

Gardening is still my go to (along with processing the crops) for gold, it’s really easy to do stuff offline and then just pop in once an hour ish to tend the garden.

About the drops... Idk if anyone have written this yet but in other games, like SoT, it can take up to 2 days before you get the drops in your game inventory so I guess it will come eventually

That is correct. Once you connect the game on a Switch profile, that profile is linked specifically to that game account. Now, you can open the game on a different Switch profile for a second game if you want, but you can only link a Palia account to one Switch profile.

Do whatever skill you like the most, and sell the things you don't need. The best solo option: There are starstones worth hundreds of gold in the plainest stone nodes. This is good to know! There was a period on Twitch were muting the stream itself made you not count as a viewer so I always just put streams on as low as possible without fully muting.

It doesn't take 48 hours to build anything. The only time-gated content is on new rooms for your home, and that's 8 hours per room -- nothing else has a time gate like that.

You can start romancing someone before asking them to be your shepp, too -- but yeah, to ask/get acccepted, you need to be level 4 friendship and have completed the level 4 friendship quest for that NPC.

More accurately: you can ask before but they'll say no 'til after you've finished the level 4 quest 😄

There -is- a clothing set you can get if you are thinking of playing on Switch and already have a Palia account -- if you connect your Palia account to the Switch the first time you open the game on the Switch, you get some clothes and a glider skin. But otherwise, the only clothing is cash shop only.

There was one bundle in the cash shop the other day that gave you 4 separate outfits + a glider skin for about $10 US, but I haven't checked to see if that's still there -- it's not the more elaborate outfits but it's a more reasonably-priced option. Most of the really expensive ones tend to have little graphical perks (like the fairy outfit has these cute little glittery butterflies that move around you when you stand still).

The flow groves (groups of flow trees) appear at in-game midnight (start of each RL hour). Once chopped, you have to wait an hour for the groves to respawn, but chopping down regular trees can cause more flow trees to spawn in where the regular ones are (it's randomized).

There is some grinding involved, it's meant to be a long-term play experience rather than a short one overall. It does get faster as you play because you improve your tools and can do more, but it takes a little time to get going.

Drops are taking a long time to get out to players, but there’s a “News” tab (looks like a sheet of paper icon iirc) from the top of your inventory menu. That is where you’ll be able to redeem any distributions from.

I think it gets a red marker on the icon when somethings available.

Yes, but you need to 1) make sure all your information's filled out on the Palia website first, 2) open the game for the first time on your desired Switch profile and link it that very first time as you can't do it retroactively.

there is more information on this on the palia wiki, but villagers both have a rotating group of weekly wants (get friendship up by a level to start asking them), and a static set of stuff you can always gift them. gifts are capped by one gift per real life day

they'll reject anything they don't want, but you can keep trying until they take something they do want

The important things to know:

• PC purchases and Switch purchases are kept separate - if you buy coins on PC you won't see them on Switch and vice versa
• Switch goes through Nintendo, so all refunds for coins bought on Switch go through Nintendo.

Beyond that, I do know stuff you buy on one platform shows on the other if your accounts are bound right.

I think the big issue here is that as it says in the support FAQ on this, you'll be redirected to the Nintendo Shop to complete the transaction -- and Palia accepts different forms of currency than Nintendo's shop does. I don't think the game devs have any involvement in what payment platform Nintendo uses, alas. But it wouldn't hurt for them to put it in the FAQ going forward!

Well palia it’s only stripe or PayPal and I wasn’t aware that the eshop allows you to link your PayPal to it I’ve always used my bank card and bc it took the money from my bank card and didn’t give me a warning that palia doesn’t accept this payment method via switch the transaction failed

Yeah it was only introduced a few patches ago. Don't worry about it though! At least you now know you can use that feature to remove unwanted/accidentally planted crops. Of course, you don't get the seed back if you choose to remove the crop.

That's absurd, it is like buying some game credits from Epic or Steam and it failing to give said credits because the game don't accept your payment method. The game is in the Nintendo Store, they deal with the transactions, not Palia. The Palia Coins should have been credited on your account if it was an acceptable Nintendo E-Shop payment method. If S6 screwed that , I don't think they can go far with the game

To me, not really. What weeds do is slow down plant growth. If you weed regularly the plants will keep growing.

I dunno what caused it to fail all I know is it said on the eshop the payment was successful and told me to go back to game by pressing the button so I did, it took me back to the game and left me on a validating your purchase screen and after 10 mins it said it had failed and I needed to contact game support

think of it this way, if you stack water retention with weed prevention, you can avoid having to water your crops each in game day and weeds won't prevent them from growing (because they won't spawn). otherwise, farming means going back to your plot each in game day to weed and water

tomatoes stay a while, you harvest them multiple times. when i want to redo my gardening layout i plant potatoes instead since they are only harvested once and then disappear from the soil and free up space

Focus is an experience-increaser. You will get XP in trickles. But if you eat food and fill your focus bar, you can multiply your XP gain. There are two things that affect this: focus itself, and focus percentage. The percentage is how much increased XP you get (up to double), the focus itself is how much focus you have before you have to eat again.

the higher your focus, the more xp you gain from actions e.g. chopping trees, farming etc. Eating food will increase your focus. You can also inccrease your max focus by spending renown
