And I found the process of "befriending English" daunting and strenuous: a plethora of terms and jargon, which a Shakespearean would've deliriously embraced, blissfully invited me to the world of the most influential language on earth. 2 years of hard work and dedication finally paid off when I decided to choose English literature as one of my subjects.
