  1. How do I practice my English?
    You can use the text channels on the server and the voice channels when you see people in them. Practising your English actively this way to advance your skills. In addition, you can use the special chat channels to talk specifically about the topics that interest you. Questions about English can be asked in #📚｜english-questionsand you can find Helpful English learning resources in #🗃｜resources, and you can always the English classes.

  2. What do the colours mean?
    Colours most often represent the person's level in English. Click (or long press on mobile) a username to see what roles a person has. (Premium members get a custom role and colour).

  3. I feel stupid making mistakes or forgetting things, what to do?
    All learners know that feeling! Especially in a community where you expose yourself to everybody. And that's exactly why you shouldn't feel bad about it! We're all supposed to help one another here, so don't apologize for the mistakes made! We're volunteers and it's worth it to us if you feel good Practicing here. Also, if it seems to you that someone isn't complying with the mindset explained here, feel free to report them using #🛂｜report-help.

What's Private voice channel?

You can now join the (Join to create) vc channel to create your own voice channel, These channels are named after you. You can decide whether they're public or private, which members can join and much more. use /voice to see all the available commands that allow you to check all the available commands.  You need level 5 to create custom voice channels.

Am I a Native English Speaker?

“Native speaker” is actually a pretty difficult term to define. That’s why, to make things simple, we go off of our own server’s definition of a native English speaker.

Native - a person who learned to speak the language of the place where he or she was raised as through their childhood rather than learning it as a foreign language.

It means you must have lived in an English-speaking culture during your childhood, so that English has been absorbed effortlessly as by osmosis, in every aspect of your life.
