The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with.

Hi everyone ! Got a question about server management. So I took a server on Bisect (thx for the promo code btw) to play betterMC with friends. I already made my world on a local world with some few more mods (like the rpg series mod, the building wand, distant horizon etc ...).
As I have several more mods, I just took a server with fabric already installed (ver 1.20.1)
I creted a server pack from the curse forge app and just dropped down the mods in the mods folder, as well as the config directory, defaultconfig and modernfix.
Most of it is working fine, but some mods don't like the RPG series mod. For exemple, I have access to the blocks of the Paladin and Priest mod, but can't place them on server, as well as the building wand which doesn't work.
Did I do something wrong ? Any advice ?

The download server pack from curse forge only used the mods already in betterMC, as there are only 230 mods in the mods folder in the server pack, and I have 308 mods in the mods folder of my betterMC Minecraft Instance

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

There is an issue with Java 17.0.8 and newer where you may experience "A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment", which can cause the Java runtime to crash under a variety of circumstances. To resolve this:

  1. Install the Zulu JDK 17.0.1+12 arm64 build of Java:

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with.

hello, i'm new to this curseforge thingy but i downloaded the v25 modpack from curseforge with fabric 0.15.11 in minecraft 1.20.1 and started to play with the normal minecraft launcher. so it all works but when i go to the menu, options and click on the puzzle button to change shaders and stuff the game crashes saying "The game crashed whilst mouseclicked event handler". i tried to figure it out myself and deactivated the "Puzzle" mod. now it works but i get into the normal shaders menu. is this a known issue? can i solve it?

Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

are u sure? i played in singleplayer and when creating a world i could use betterx for world gen and the biomes looked veeery nice ingame, on the server they dont look as good, alot of giant cliffs and always tiny biomes inbetween

What is Prominence?

Prominence aims to provide content for everyone, whether it's magic, tech, combat, building, you will not miss out on it. With balance and performance always being top priority.

Differences (Forge vs Fabric, 1 vs 2)

FORGE Forge has a focus on the core of the modpack: Balance with content for everyone. Including community favorite mods such as Alex's Caves, Alex's Mobs, Minecolonies, Aether, etc. Prodiving a classic modded minecraft experience, rich on content, and for everyone.

FABRIC Fabric has the same focus on balance and content for everyone, but adds on top its own RPG-like endgame. With unique custom content such as artifacts, end game bosses, a story campaign and more. It also features public official servers called realms.

Prominence Prominence I is on 1.19.2. It no longer recieves content updates and only stability updates.

prominence_II Prominence II is on 1.20.1. It recieves weekly updates with new content and more custom content.

TL;DR

If you are looking for a unique experience with a lot of content and balance in mind, Prominence is for you.

If you like RPG content, go for its Fabric version. If you prefer more of a classic modded mc experience, then go for Forge.

  1. Install the Zulu JDK 17.0.1+12 arm64 build of Java:

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.
