I have a problem with illuvial-zero, for more than a week now illuvials no have been caught by singularity scanner. Three scanners with second level high efficiency. Up to two of these were caught almost at once two weeks ago. Could this be due to some my misunderstanding of the game? Perhaps a second databank is needed or something?

Tapped out is very clean and simpe, it looks like the Simpsons, that is what it is supposed to do, better or worse is very subjective when things are quite different.

Of immediate note is that we have many effects and animations that are not in the Alpha that will be in the Beta (as well as various patches of Alpha), the game feels much more alive when these are in place.

UI will be updated over time.

A longer term vision of making the game 3D has been discussed, but it rules out a lot of low end phones so definitely no final answer there.

I don't expect there will be major/drastic changes to all building renders, we need to write shaders to make the buildings skinnable.

The animations and effects make things come to life much more (for example swirling dist, blinking lights with reflections, spinning fans), I think it will help with immersion quite a bit.

That said, one thing to keep in mind is that this is supposed to be a CASUAL game, and increased visual fidelity and immersion can make the game feel LESS casual, it might not be the best thing for the game, even if it makes some people happy.

It will depend on the efficiency % of your scanners.
100% efficiency will get you 1:1 in fuel/elements.

It can be changed, yup! The efficiency of converters will decrease the closer they are to one another which can bring them well below 100%.

You can also build Power Stations nearby to increase their efficiency to a max of 150%.

To see the Efficiency %, click on "Show" in the bottom right and check the Efficiency box 🙂

With the Efficiency box checked, you can experiment with moving the converters and power stations around and you should see how their percentages change.

Turning buildings would be great, but I just want to be able to zoom out farther on the windows version and maybe have more functionality/shortcuts than just left clicking. Maybe each action has a letter or number tied to it? like I click on a power station then press "M" on the keyboard to move it. Or using the arrow keys to move the map so I can move a building easier. Or when selecting a building click the Tab button to select one next to it.

How long is the alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero expected to last?

The alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero is expected to be split into two seasons.

Season 0 is currently planned to last for 6 to 8 weeks, during which all data (including blueprints) will be wiped and reset. The purpose of Season 0 is to allow the development team to fix bugs and balance issues and prevent any issues that may arise if player data needs to be reset.

After Season 0, the game will move on to Season 1, which will last until the open beta stage. Another data reset is expected at the end of Season 1. However, players will be able to mint the blueprints they researched as NFTs during the last few months of Season 1. Those minted NFTs will persist beyond the Alpha data reset and can be used to craft skins in the Overworld once we reach the Open Beta.

More information on the minting windows will be provided as the game approaches the open beta stage.

IMO the game is pretty intuitive if you're a gamer and have played any kind of base builder before. Optimizing is another story though.

I think it's relatively important to establish terminology - For my part, as someone who plays a LOT of games, I expect Alpha tests to have bugs. They are typically proof of concept type releases that establish the bones of a game. There's usually a LOT of iteration and changes in an alpha, and bugs are not uncommon. It's also pretty important, because Open Beta is going to be considered the full release of both Illuvium: Overworld and Illuvium: Zero. Currently Overworld is in Closed Beta.

It means it's really bad. By default, they're like 100%. If you build it near other converters or worse other converters of the same type the efficiency plummets.

if you by default convert 2 solons into 2 hyperion at 100%, then at 150% efficiency you'll get 3 hyperion out.
Then at 50% efficiency, you'll get only a single hyperion.

And there is some rounding applied so after a certain threshold you'll be converting to 0.

You can improve your efficiency by building solon converters near a solon site and/or by building power plants nearby.

We know blueprints can be reused to create more than 1 skin. And to create the skin you need illuvials. So the price of the alpha skins should be mostly influenced by the price of illuvials.

Because there will be plenty of supply if alpha skin costs much more than 3x required illuvials, I think the price will stay down.

All in all, how much someone will be willing to pay for the blueprint to create these?

I'm looking for other opinions on this. Maybe I'm missing something. And I'm curious how important it will be to spend the time grinding the alpha for them.

Yeah. The output of a building is a function of the two. In some cases it'll be better to lower efficiency just to be able to produce faster.

Like when you put a power plant a road away from a site.

and it's specifically an entire "side" of a building being a road that decreases action time. corner to corner, so a 2x2 building to get a single reduction has to have 4 path squares on one side from corner to corner.
each "side" of paths gives diminishing returns.
I'm finding 2 sides of path gives good amount of reduction while allowing you to cram more buildings in. completely surrounding every building seems like overkill

Yes, efficiency affects passive generation, however I can't confirm numbers at the moment.

I found that passive conversion rounds down but active conversion rounds up at least at stage 5/6. So at 150%, a stage 5 converts 5 to 8 for active. But at stage 6 which has a standard passive of 3 per day, when it is at 150% it only generates 4.

My guess is that Alpha BPs value will be relatively low, at least for the short/mid-term.

My perception is that BPs at this stage have been relatively easy to obtain and landholders have managed to obtain most of them. Current "die hard" fans or potential collectors who could pay big bucks for a BP will manage to obtain all of them by playing their lands, and if not, there will be plenty of supply in the market to complete the collection. Also, the 15 BPs currently available don't feature a highly sought-after Illuvial (except Atlas maybe).

This is of course assuming (i) that Alpha stage 1 keeps the same ratios/prob of obtaining BPs and that (i) we can only obtain the same 15 BPs available in the current Alpha stage, which I don't think is confirmed.

My perception would change if either (i) we made the Alpha BPs exclusive somehow and they will no longer be obtained after the Alpha season or if (ii) they became much harder to obtain (I got 9 out 15 in the first month with a single T1 and stopped playing after that).

Moving from a level 4 fuel converter to a 5 gets you 4->6 conversion goes to 5->8 so you are getting an extra fuel overall (+2 vs +3) but 5 to 6 the conversion goes to 6->9, so overall the extra fuel you get is the same +3.
But if everything were just doubled then Lvl 4: 8->12, Lvl 5:10->15, Lvl 6: 12 ->18 (+4/+5/+6) vs (+2/+3/+3)

absolutely. I had 3 scanners with zero buildings in their range at 100% and by doubling up ended up with 6 in the same area at 85-90%
if you have the resources then cramming them in at 25% efficiency ends up being by far the best because you can fit more than 4x 25% scanners into the space of a single 100% scanner. the problem is the cost and time of building all of those as well as the upkeep cost of all that scanning.

in alpha season 1 once I can send mats from my T3 I will probably make my T1 just wall to wall scanners to make sure I get all 15 BPs on both my lands

all of these are T1 illuvial biodatas and blueprints from those T1 illuvials. In the large scale sense, no they won't really be worth much. They're very low level bps/skins.

That being said, all of the blueprints will have bonding curves, so the more of something is found, the lower the likelihood others will find it later.
Alpha S1 means a lot of people will find 3 blueprints for 5 specific T1 illuvials.
By comparison, once we have open beta someone choosing what to research might have biodata for two T1 illuvials, one that was in alpha and one that wasn't. If they choose to scan one or the other, they'll find better success with the T1 illuvial that was NOT in alpha.

So while these particular T1 blueprints won't be rarer and probably won't be more valuable than other T1 blueprints, a lot of the owners of these particular blueprints will be alpha players. By playing alpha you can guarantee you're one of the people with these blueprints, whereas after alpha you will find it quite hard to research these on your own.

It depends largely on player demand where the prices and earning potential for assets ends up. More demand for Fuel will mean more Fuel is produced. In short, no one (IMO) can give you a reasonable estimate of how much you might earn, in terms of dollars, by producing Blueprints and Fuel, because no one has information about what the playerbase and demand will look like when the games move into Open Beta.

The best I've seen anyone do is model, for example, 100k players, or 1M players, or 10M players, at varying levels of daily spending, and extrapolating off those assumptions. I don't believe those models give an accurate picture of what reality will look like, personally, and I don't put much faith in them due to the number of assumptions made. The margin for error is extremely high when the uncertainty in those predictions gets compounded.

It is correct that both Blueprints and Fuel can be sold to other players, beyond that I'd be skeptical about any estimations you might hear. That's just my opinion of course.

The wallet unbinding function is still not deployed so you can't link a second wallet to your account. What you can do is create and register a new account with a new email address and link your 2nd wallet to it and you will be able to play those landplots

Hi, at first you need a Singularity scanner to scan for Biodata. If you found a Biodata you can research it with the Material lab. To increase the chance to find Blueprints you also will find some Facts with the Material Lab. And you can show your Biodata Illuvial on the Holographic Statue which also increase the chance of finding Blueprints. But at first you need a Scanner and the Material Lab.

Zero is pretty straight forward. You buildup your land, get elements and fuel and upgrade everything, scan for Illuvials, and get Blueprints. Later, Fuel and BPs you can sell for ETH. That's Zero in one sentence 😄

Sometimes logging out and back in can help with visual bugs or moving the nexus to a new location and seeing if that helps. If those don't work maybe someone else can help or you can submit a bug report!

On a T1 land, Converter give the same amount it convert with 100% effectiveness.
it takes exactly the same time to convert than excavators to extract elements.
But don't forget that you have a passive production and you don't need anything for that.
Not sure if it's the same about the Fuels.

Anyway the best thing to do, if possible is to combine both, and boost for higher effectiveness.

To get back to the beginning of this discussion :
If you don't have an outcrop or if you are missing an element, converters can do the job easily, and can still play properly.

Based entierly on season 0, I had no luck finding a second biodata in 2 weeks of scanning with just 2 scanners. But once I got up to 7 scanners I found 3 more in just 2 days. So I figure get as much chance to find them as possible early, then replace scanners with labs later.

It's important to reach level 7 Nexus, with this you are able to build 50 additional buildings. That's the point where you can build a lot of power stations and you can max out the efficiencies of buildings.
