Yeah no soldering or anything. I ruined a CPU once when I was 13 and it was an expensive mistake, so I haven't played with em since. Even those aren't extremely complicated or anything, but there's potential to brick the CPU if you bend/break pins by mistake.

Some stuff that might be unpopular but has always served me extremely well (all my rigs have lasted 8+ years without feeling old AF):
Putting up the extra $50-$100 for a nicer motherboard is worthwhile.
CPU is usually the most important component for longevity of a rig.
GPU model matters, but picking a good manufacturer matters more.
You don't need 128GB of memory, it's pointless unless you're doing some very niche stuff.
Get a good power supply, sized so your components are only using about 70% of the capacity. Leaves room for expansion in the future if needed. Bad power supplies kill computers, and running power supplies maxed out reduces their life and creates more heat.
A big case (if you have room for it) lets you just use air cooling, which is much cheaper (and in my experience, more effective than fancy self contained liquid solutions).

Personally, 1440p monitor is the sweet spot, its a hell of an improvement on 1080p. If you're looking at a 4k monitor, make sure your pc can use it to its advantage. and you may find it hard to get a 4k monitor with a high refresh rate.

Terminology is important here, in particular.

Revenue is general purpose, and refers to ANY revenue from ANYTHING Illuvium ever makes or sells, including games, merchandise, potentially films etc. ALL revenue goes towards revdis.

Fuel is a token that land produces, and is spent for in-game transactions, like travel fees, shard curing etc. Fuel will be used in future titles as well.

Land owners produce 5% of Fuel, which accounts for 5% of in-game revenue, but NOT necessarily 5% of revdis. Additionally, you have to produce and sell Fuel to realize that 5%, if you just sit on a piece of land without playing, you get nothing.

So TL;DR: Land owners get 5% of Fuel revenue, which is 5% of in-game transaction revenue. ILV stakers get everything else. If all revenue is from in-game transactions, that's 95%, but if some revenue is from things that are not in-game transactions, it's more.

The land isnt always producing exactly 5% of the fuel at any given moment. Sometimes it will be less, sometimes more. 5% is just the target that they will be trying to hit as they make adjustments.

It's more like there is a certain rewards pool (5%) that adjusts the price players can sell their fuel to the DAO for ETH; price depending on demand. If it's high demand, then players can sell the fuel for 125% so to speak. If demand is very low, then this could drop to 75%. Each fuel type will have it's own supply/demand.

I think thats just super complicated. The long term goal is to ditch the adjustment algorithm and just base the DAO production on what IZ produces.
Short term they want to have more direct control over the price of fuel so the game doesnt become too expensive for people to play. Once they have data on fuel usage and playerbase growth they can balance IZ well enough that they can 'take off the rails' so to speak.

I think that would probably be the case. If the landowners miss out on a lot of potential revenue right at the start they may slow down DAO production for a while so land was producing like 7% for a while. I think they will be tracking exactly where the revenue is going to help out with balancing decisions.

But there probably will never be a 'this is exactly how it works forever' kind of algorithm. They want to be dynaimc because the most important thing for everyone's revenue is making sure players have a good experience and keep coming back.

In order to be competitive in the autobattler, you also need strong Illuvials. You can farm or buy them. Illuvials have different levels of rarity in terms of statistics and holographics, so they also have different values on the marketplace.

I think the prices are a really bad idea. Never seen mints this expensive and for such a large supply. There are going to be a lot of bitter people that will be paying too much. There's way too much supply for those who can afford the high costs and will lead to prices dipping drastically in the dutch auction to meet with the actual demand
