Statement on the USDC Situation and DAO Actions from <@&814435151307866142>:

**In light of recent events surrounding USDC, the council wants to offer some insight into our beliefs and actions of the past 36 hours.

At this time, more than 90% of non-ILV DAO holdings are in USDC. The value of USDC, previously tied to the US dollar at a 1:1 ratio, shifted and devalued to a present price of 0.965, and dropped to a low of 0.87. This is largely attributed to the failure of Silicon Valley Bank, which held around $3.3 billion of USDC's US dollar reserves. Despite this setback, USDC still possesses approximately $38 billion worth of cash and assets, indicating a loss of only around 8% at the worst. Moreover, past experiences with bank liquidations have demonstrated a typical return of 77% to 90%, implying that the potential loss for USDC is not significant enough to even cause concern.

In the past 24 hours, USDC has gradually reclaimed most of its peg, and Circle, the owner of USDC, has provided reassurance that each token is backed by direct US government obligations. While the world of crypto is unpredictable, it is important to note that USDC is a regulated payment token backed by real US assets, making it incomparable to the Luna/UST crash. Nonetheless, in times of fear, rationality may not always prevail, and there is still a possibility of a significant "bank run."

Over the past 36 hours, the council has been in regular communication while monitoring the situation. Due to a belief in the temporary nature of the situation and a desire to avoid unnecessary fund losses, no exchanges were done. The council still believes that USDC is the safest vehicle for our funds to be held in.
If we realize a full repeg to the dollar, we are prepared to convert 10% of our treasury to USDT to provide diversification in case of liquidity issues related to USDC. Additionally, we are reviewing further diversification of our assets and transitioning a portion of the Treasury to other stablecoins or fiat. However, we have no immediate plans to make any shifts at current prices. Nevertheless, our Council continues to monitor and will reconvene again within twenty-four hours to discuss and explore all potential options.**

We are thrilled to share that IIP-32, or Governance V2, has been successfully passed with **5-0 votes **. This is a significant step towards a more decentralized governance structure for the DAO, and we are grateful for everyone's patience and participation in Illuvium being at the forefront of web3 DAOs.

As we approach the nomination process for the next epoch, we will provide more details on how to get involved. It is important to note that an ICCP must be passed before April 13th to allow for a 45 day transition period as outlined in Gov V2. The council is aware of this date and is working diligently to ensure a smooth transition.

• One nomination per member allowed across all sub-councils

Council Structure Update

Rangers, as per GCCP-4, only one Illuvium Labs member may serve on council at any given time. With me (@sonic idol) joining the Illuvium Team, both councils will be restructured to remain in compliance.

The changes are as follows:

  • @ocean parcel has been appointed to the Illuvium Main Council (IMC), as he placed #6 in the IMC elections and is next in line.
  • @spark bolt has been appointed to the Illuvium Community Council (ICC), as he placed #6 in the ICC elections and is next in line.

These adjustments maintain continuity in the DAO’s governance while also bringing fresh perspectives to council deliberations.

The community has highlighted an issue with the current ILV Yield Rewards. The main configuration in question relates to the fact that locked tokens are currently able to stake in the ILV pool or provide liquidity via the ILV / ETH pool and receive Yield Rewards. Allowing locked tokens to be staked in any Yield generating pool reduces the distribution of the ILV token to unlocked token holders, potentially harming the decentralisation of the project. Removing the ability for locked tokens to farm Yield Rewards will substantially increase the APY of both pools, which will incentivize new users to purchase and stake ILV.

The Illuvium dev team has found a limitation in the Flash Pools contract, and as
such, we have designed a new contract to give us the flexibility to deploy all current

Abstract

We implement Flash Pools using the existing V1 contract while Quantstamp audits
Flash Pools V2. Once complete, token XYZ will be the first Flash Pool v2 deployed.

Overview

Illuvium core devs have found a limitation in the existing Flash Pools contract due to
an issue with precision, and tokens with extremely large supply cant be launched.
For this reason, I am suggesting we launch the AXS Flash Pool utilizing the audited
v1 contract. Once audited, the XYZ token would become the first Flash Pool v2.
Preceding this would be a fortnightly council vote that includes multiple tokens of

We have found a vulnerability in our staking contracts, and as such, the eDAO has had to put a temporary pause on $sILV minting. The attack vector has been closed, and no funds have been compromised. This is purely a protection mechanism for the DAO. This IIP is designed to ratify the eDAO’s decision.

The vulnerability has been fixed within the staking V2 contracts, and we expect to have them launched shortly. $ILV holders will have plenty of time before the Land Sale to claim their $sILV if they wish.

Glad to be able to share the IIP for the up and coming land sale. We discussed pricing with the council in-depth and believe we have found a balance that will limit GAS wars, botting, and FOMO. We cannot stress enough that no one should FOMO into the sale, so please do your research.

We pushed as hard as possible to complete the land sale audit; unfortunately, we couldn't start until finalising the sILV2 audit. We understand your frustration with delays and accept that we previously missed dates. However, rushing leads to security threats and, ultimately, further delays.

Please understand that our policy of three audits per product adds an extra challenge, especially when considering how congested auditors are at this time. Again, we are pushing them as hard as possible to complete it sooner, but we are at their mercy.

In the next couple of weeks, you will see many educational materials to give you additional insight into the IlluviDEX where you will purchase land.
