I think $40 was on the low end for upgrade transactions around 20 gwei so some extra ETH should solve the problem. Also try disconnecting and reconnecting the wallet and clearing the browser cache, that can solve problems sometimes.

general consensus is crypto projects that use dutch auctions hope everything is sold for top dollar. The possibility of price going down means nothing when you have everyone willing to fomo in like Pixelmon (this game will be lightyears better than Pixelmon btw). Also gatekeeping your top tier land to whales aint a good look. Making the most money takes priority over gamer experience. Not to say they don't care about the players because of course they have to. That money just come first. With that being said the landscapes and creatures look dope and I do believe the game will succeed but the ceiling is pretty obvious. This is a competitive game and if you're playing a competitive game you want to be the best. You can't be the best here without paying transactions, turning away millions at the door. Illuvial will have a niche audience and that's ok. Pay for power games rarely hit mass adoption and if they do it aint sustained very long.
