The meetings themselves are productive. I don't lead many of those meetings. Often I will be there to answer a question only if necessary, and in those meetings, I just keep working on my other stuff.

I can type something into a document while talking to someone at the same time, if what I'm telling them is something I know by heart.

it's an interesting one...the biggest difference you see from traditional gaming studios vs web 3 projects are that the contributors are incentivised much more

Also this might be a bit anecdotal but the culture tends to be much better too.

People in this space tend to be visionaries and when you wish for a better experience on your 'users/customers', chances are that you also care about your own employees

We have a lot of visionaries on this project. It's really cool to work with them. I often feel very much out of place around so many 'high calibre' people. But you're also right. Even some of the younger members are super pumped because they are incentivised and in a good environment. I think Kieran and Grant deserve a lot of credit for that, and then the rest of the team to stay motivated.

All I try to do is provide a little bit less friction. If someone is struggling with something, or if there is a communication break down, just go in and fix little things.

But it is time consuming. And I'm going to holiday HARD as soon as I'm able to.

Haha classic Aaron, although no one doubts for a second that you guys have some unreal people working on your project, I think i speak for everyone when I say that people know just how much of a weapon you are.

Honestly one of the most overlooked strengths of ILV is the actual desire and passion that is embodied through all the individuals within the entire team

it's extremely hard to replicate that type of environment, but it makes sense that 3 brothers with their own unique traits and strong personalities was able to cultivate it

Sounds like a lot of mushy bullshit but it's honestly so true, what has been produced in the time that it took is simply not possible without some sort of strong underlying reason

Anyways lets not speak too soon when there's so much left to go but things are falling into place month by month!

Aside from staking, they are also launching a land sale shortly. The details of the land sale are not set in stone and prone to change, but here is what we know currently. There will be 100,000 plots of land, and this land sale is for 20,000 plots, or 20% of the total supply. Lands come in tiers, with T1 being the cheapest, and T5 being the most expensive. To purchase land, you can use two different methods. The first method is to use Ethereum. The second method is to use $sILV2, which is the in-game currency of Illuvium.. With these two options, it may be hard to choose which payment method you want to use to buy land... Let me help. Use $sILV2. Why? The land sale is priced in Eth. If you pay in Eth, you pay the full price. If you pay with $sILV2, your $sILV2 will be pegged to the value of $ILV. Unless $ILV goes lower than $sILV2 during the sale (which is very unlikely) you are buying at a discount using $sILV2.

This is just my understanding, and could be wrong - They found a way to basically "clone" the entirety of the contracts, and to convince those contracts (or deposited legitimate ILV into their duplicate contracts?), to produce rewards and claim those rewards as sILV.

To stop it, the team minted a bunch of sILV and flooded the LP (which was the only way for the hacker to extract value from the hack, since sILV didn't have any use in-game at that point), which removed most of the ETH from the LP.

The snapshot was before they bombed the LP, though the market had already dropped a fair bit. The cheapest someone could have gotten sILV pre-snapshot was something like $450-$500.

Anything post-snapshot was reimbursed at the VALUE of sILV before the hack. So if someone bought 80k sILV after the hack for $400, they'd only get $400 worth of sILV2 as imbursement. That snapshot was taken an hour after the first one.

You can see the blocks of each of the 2 snapshots in the announcement.

Yeah everyone will start equal. The Tier 5 (most rare) illuvials will probably still be hard to get and end up being fairly expensive. But we're talking maybe a couple hundred not thousands like other games.
The goal is for players to be able to put a good team together investing only like a couple hundred $.

Hi illuvium is built as a Single Player game like Witcher Mass effect Dragon Age ( personally i think that is awesome myself ) With 2 PVP arenas which are the only place you will see other players when the game launches.

I love single plyer games so happy that for at least for a while the only other plyers you'll see are in pvp mode.

A MMO/ Co-op may a project in the future . Aaron has mentioned they want to separate the overworld and autobattler and make them 2 separate games . the over world could have co- op or multiplayer but that is probably sometime in the future

However The next year or two will probably be spend on Illuvium, 🎮illuvium-zero mobile mini game and possibly a Mobile Version of Illuvium sometime in 23 but nothig about that has been official announced

• A game plan is needed from the beginning. Since you only have 2 removes per round you need to build towards a high synergy team like Kieran did with 6 psion
• Death Snail guy is pretty fucking good
• The no-raw-stats-only-effects approach on omegas and synergies seems to be successfully achieving the game feel that Aaron talks about

If your ILV is vesting or staked and its still locked theres no way to unlock it early or swap it for sILV2

If you have pending rewards only those may be claimed as sILV2, if you claim them as ILV they will be locked and vesting for 12 months with no way to make them unlock quicker

Are there some fee on illuvium during the game play?

It will be fully free to play, you can fight, capture, level up Tier 0 Illuvials and eventually work your way up to Tier 1+

But there is also the option to pay a small travel fee ($3-10 not yet official), to enter more difficult areas, which will have more powerful Tier 1 to 5 Illuvials to capture

You can pay in either ETH or sILV2 (which you can get as a reward for staking ILV)

It'll all be on IMX L2, so transaction fees will be zero I think

To clarify, you can play the exact same areas free to play, it's only the difficulty of the Illuvials that spawn that changes :)

Nope, Illuvium's ethos is that everything is fair launch!

There will be no way to get an advantage over anyone else. We all will start the game with nothing, and go into the world to capture/level up etc. :)

If it was gas it should be pending… that would mean it’s too low and waiting to go through. If it’s failed something else is wrong

I’m not certain, but I believe Some transactions do have a pending time limit too if you set too low it will fail after a few hours… but if the transaction is failed and you can process a new one with correct gas, it should work

I think it was Aaron had mentioned that they had looked into it but it wasn’t really ready for prime-time use yet. There were a lot of nice features but needed some time to progress still before they could convert to it. Possibilities in this space look really good for the next 2-5 years though!
