FWIW it's not that I'm against it. It's just important that people understand that there is nothing in the tokenomics that supports sILV2 trading. No official LP, no guaranteed place you can buy it. It's just important that people know what they are getting themselves into. We have a lot of people new to crypto come into this Discord, and the idea that they might not be able to sell sILV2 in the future is foreign to a lot of them. Nothing is mandating that the LPs for sILV2/ETH keep that pool active. In theory, it could disappear at any point.

With all that said, I've bought sILV from the secondary market. There's nothing inherently bad about it, just understand the risks.

You can start farming any time though! Lots of people like to start small by gardening in raised beds in their backyards. When making raised beds be sure to mix compost and other organic material into your earth to create a nutrient rich medium for growing your plants (potting mix is not ideal for raised beds.)

Generally it is best to locate beds or planting locations in areas with full sunlight. If your area is shaded, thats OK! There are many varieties of plants that grow well with only partial sunlight.
If you want to go bigger, planting directly into the ground will give you more growing area although the crops available to you will vary depending on region and the quality of your soil.

Farming is a great way to practice self sustainability and get to spend some quality time outside. Plus when some nerd online tells you to 'go touch grass' you can feel vindicated that you have not only touched grass, but a variety of other plants.

.5 ILV would see roughly .05 ILV in a years worth of staking (10% over a year? Idk). revdis could get you another little bit. So if you pay 100$ in staking gas fees and add up potential rewards and revdis it might be worth it. But it will take a long while before you will see the gains either way.
Better would be to stake 5-10 ILV for quicker and actually noticeable gains.

yes, x86 apps need to be emulated to run on a M1 chip, which leads to performance loss. the software that do the emulation is Rosetta. I don't know if Illuvium team plans to launch their game native to run on Rosetta, but it doesn't seem likely.

If you were to start a new deposit with a 12 month lock period, at the end of 12 months, you are able to withdraw that deposit. Rewards start a seperate 12 month vesting period when you claim them. You can claim rewards at any time, it's totally up to you. With a small stake, it doesn't make sense to claim very often though, so you might only want to claim once during your 12 month lock if you had a 1 ILV stake for example.

While tokens are locked, you cannot withdraw them or sell them.

After you upgraded from sILV to sILV2 there was a button to add this to metamask. You can always just add custom token with the address found in #🔗〕helpful-links
