It sorta does make a difference. Were supposed to get 2 weeks to upgrade presumably might be shorter now. So faster the proposal is passed and for the upgrade to start the faster people can stake their ILV, claim, get their sILV2 etc. Plus it triggers all the other events in place like land sale, PB1, illuvitars.

The market self balances this. If the cost to capture the illuvial exceeds the cost to purchase the Illuvial from the marketplace then nobody will go capture it. The bonding curve helps to make the price go up over time within each season.

I’m more saying (with the assumption that there is a fixed, total amount of each illuvial that can be produced) which is then regulated by a bonding curve that slows the release of that illuvial over time based on frequency of captures- that even with this mechanism in place it could lead to the overall supply of illuvials being overwhelmed by too many players, leading to ‘overfishing’

But maybe that assumption is wrong

Team has also mentioned that they could adjust the bonding curve as needed if capture rate or number of players were far outside the planned aggressiveness of the bonding curve.
