Inside fees? You should just see your ledger as a stamping tool.
Everything works similar to a hot wallet, but your ledger is that stamp that verifies a transaction.

Seems like you can use the S with your phone. But you will need a micro-usb to android 7+ cable (micro usb / C cable)
It comes with a Usb-micro usb cable for the pc-ledger so i never tried to connect it with my phone :D

No, you cant see the matic on your ledger at any time. You would bridge it to a hot wallet-bridge (eg Metamask for Eth, Phantom for Solana). On that bridge you would see your balance. But you would need the ledger with application to sign any transaction. so if you uninstall the app/blockchain on your ledger, you wont be able to move your funds from that wallet, until you re-install the app on that ledger or a different one with the same seedphrase.

You would connect your hardware wallet to metamask, so to make a transaction you would require your ledger to verify it. your ledger however stays offline.

Your seedphrase is kept offline and will never touch the internet and nobody will be able to move your assets unless they have your seedphrase/the ledger you are using + the pincode to access it.

You should see it like you are writing a letter with an ink-stamp. Basically on the blockchain you print the letter, then stamp it with your ledger and then scan it back in. Usually this happens online but with a ledger it becomes offline :)

Kieran, I think this would have effects of which the results are very hard to predict, you basically reducing the float of illuvium, making it more volatile. something big investors dont like.

also you cant know unless you wait a year or 2 how much revenue will be, allowing you to estimate what fraction or other way of doing it you can commit to either stacking stock or original revdis stock.

Putting it in the staking stock you are rewarding people that join later rather than those who are stacked at the moment of the revenue generation.

however I do see the benefit of putting a buffer of some sort on the Revdis, to prevent alot of spikes in market movement

As you say youself, if using a fraction as distribution between revenue and staking partitioning, it will always just be a fraction (a percentage), so you don't need to know the total revenue. Also in my eyes the purpose of this DAO is to make a great game AND maximise ILV token price long term. If doing what Kieran suggest increases token price more long term then I am for it. You can argue for and against if it does so, but I am tired of the short term arguments to be fair. And as you say yourself there need to be some buffer of sorts (staking for example, or spreading out revenue from Illuvitars and land sale to be every month for a specific time, lets say 6 months) to prevent high volume sell right after revenue distribution, bots could definitely be profitable doing this imo..

However, it might also make sense to showcase the strength of 100% revenue distribution from Illuvitars and Land sale by paying out everything in the same month. To show how powerful this model is will also welcome in new investors 🙂

The history is that we planned it to be released on Oct. council requested changes and wouldn’t approve it as it was. In nov the devs working on it we’re on holiday. In Dec it went to audit. Exploit was found so it had to be started completely again in Jan. It was finished for the second time in feb. And it has been in audit and testing since.

For the record I’ve been thinking and working with them on this since august and I want so badly for it to be released and fixed. We are definitely not just sitting around doing nothing.

Yeah, there was previously an estimate for the end of Q1 (March) but this was before the sILV exploit that occurred in January. Focus was shifted to having to essentially re-do the sILV contract and create sILV2 which was recently launched 🙂

and then in 12 months (or so) when yield rewards are starting to dwindle and investors are getting a good steady amount from in-game revdis, then proposing all future large sales only to have their revdis distributed as yield rewards with a vest, (keeping normal in-game revenue as normal revdis) I think that makes more sense and will be better received by the community at that point in time

proposing a vest on the revenue of large sales right now will feel like another delay for many and I cannot see the benefit, proposing this in 12 months or so will not only have a better reception but also be a way of increasing dwindling yield rewards at that point and adding an additional long-term mechanic at a time that would benefit from it

It's possible that T0 Illuvials will have some value, all Illuvials can be bought and sold for ETH on the marketplace.

T1 and higher Illuvials will appear in paid travel cycles, so to capture them you'd have to pay. You could also choose to buy them off other players.

Illuvials don't die, they can lose all their hp though, at which point you'd have to heal them.

Rarer - Generally speaking, yes. Higher Tier Illuvials are rarer. Every Illuvial is unique though, so a given T3 Illuvial would have a different ability set than a T0. Two different T0's would also have different ability sets from each other. A pokemon way to think about it is like, Pikachu is not the same as Pidgey.

I'm not sure wha you mean by guaranteed purchase. If you buy an Illuvial, you own that Illuvial. If you try to capture it yourself, it's not guaranteed, there's a chance your capture fails. When you capture an Illuvial, it's automatically minted to your wallet.

Possibly. There's 1M ILV set aside to be earned as in-game rewards. The only thing I'm certain those will be used for is as a prize for tournaments, but I believe there are plans for other ways to earn a chunk of them. It's unlikely that there's a LOT of earning potential as a free player, at least for grind-related activities. This is because anything a free player can do, a bot can do faster and on a much larger scale, with no risk. Skill based stuff might be possible for free to play earning though, like winning a T0 tournament.

There's not a lot of info yet about how the in-game rewards will be handled.

There will also be a Ranked gameplay mode, where you can compete against other players. It seems likely to me that some sort of earning will be possible there.

Everyone will start with no Illuvials, so presumably you can capture a T0 with absolutely nothing. It would be pretty cute if the team gave you an option to take 1 of 3 starter T0 Illuvials (not at all referential btw).

So when you're doing travel cycles, you're in an instanced open world, exploring, gathering resources, fighting Illuvials. My understanding is that there may be a cap on how MANY Illuvials you can play, but otherwise generally unrestricted.

Ranked play is a lot different. You have a budget for how many "points" worth of Illuvials you can play. A T0 might cost 4 points, but a T5 might cost 25 points (numbers pulled from nowhere, just used for example). So you'll have to make decisions about whether you want a balanced team, supporting a single high Tier Illuvial with some lower Tiers, or a team of all lower Tiers, or a team of just a few high Tiers.

Most Illuvials have 3 Stages. So I might play a Tier 1 Stage 3 Illuvial and a Tier 3 Stage 2 Illuvial.

Each Stage has a class and an affinity assigned to it.

You increase an Illuvial from Stage 1 to Stage 2 through fusion, which means you're combining 3 of the same Stage 1 Illuvial.

The same goes for Stage 2 to 3, you'd combine 3x Stage 2 Illuvials to get a Stage 3.

silv2 is currency used in the game, it can be used on the land purchase, it represents the same value as the governance token ILV. silv2 is generated by staking ILV and claiming sILV2 as your reward so you have money to play in the game at launch, instead of waiting for the vesting period if choosing reward of ILV

Yes, the main reason being that there are thousands of stakers and calculating rewards manually for each one was not viable. Aaron has explained this a few times in Disc. It was communicated fairly clearly that withdrawing stakes during the pause would forfeit rewards generated during the pause. Anything accumulated before the pause is still yours.

in theory the stakers that have been locked into this contract without the rewards should be allocated pro-rata the rewards they would have got for the time they were still staked to the pool. Rather than punished that if you remove it you lose all of the time and all of the bonus

They are doing the calculation based on a snapshot of who was staked at the start of the pause. To be eligible you must remain staked for the whole pause which they will confirm at the end.

If they wanted to allow people to withdraw they would have to snapshot every block from the start of the pause through the end of the pause and calculate rewards per block for each staked wallet. This would be wildly complicated so they just decided to require people to remain staked, rather than spending weeks of extra time to calculate rewards in a way that only benefit a small minority who want to exit the project.
