Im familiar with IMX and have also looked at their API. What I ask and challenge is if they are ready to serve larger use cases. They do seem to struggle.
There are many examples where rollouts delay significantly because a vendor is not ready. See for example at Synthetix and Optimism.

also, something that people need to know is that immutable is a centralized service. One uses an API that is hosted on AWS. Under the hood immutable interacts with Starkware, however one is not able to interact with the Starkware chain directly. Only via the centralized Immutable API.

Hey Pink. You should be able to claim ILV rewards from the ILV pool. But for now, you can't do this in the ETH-ILV SLP pool. This relates to the pausing of the sILV minting function as Aaron announced a little while ago in #📣〕announcements

The sILV mint function is used within the ETH-ILV SLP processes and as such, we cannot currently claim SLP rewards or withdraw SLP tokens until the sILV V2 solution is implemented.

It’s going to be an interesting one. I think it’s going to cater to a certain demographic. I’d say people who are purely focused on just wanting to enjoy a game without any sort of interest in gamification may not enjoy it as much. But the total addressable market for people who would love gamification being tied with a game I think will be in the tens and hundreds of millions.

Just like every game, it’s hard to cater or draw in every single person in the gaming demographic. But if you can target/draw enough people to be successful, it isn’t going to be a major issue. It would just be something we would have to tweak on down the line to add in additional features in a game to cater to ‘casuals’.

Who knows, maybe ILV is already designed in a way where casual gamers can still have a fully fledged experience without needing to stress too much about the money side of things

Being free to play does wonders though and the mobile version that will come out down the line (makes it accessible and mobile generally more casual audience)

Nah you can play illuvium with friends. Chat away as you explore your own worlds and brag about what you just caught. True, you can't actually join each others games but people will play/experience it together through voice chat.

One of the biggest let downs to most P2E games right now is that they pretty much punish you for spending to much time within the game. Check out Splinterlands for example, the more you plan the less you earn. Also the game play isn't good at all. I have over 20k in digital assets within the game and hardly ever play any more. Illuvium will hope offer a way for player to reward for time spend within the game and will allow for player to play as long as they want.

Consider an extreme example where lands are sold for 1 million dollars each. Assuming people buy these lands, all of the sILV in existence would be burned quickly to purchase land. Then, the rest of the land would be purchased with ETH. In this hypothetical scenario, the land sale revenue would be 1% sILV and 99% ETH or something like that. As the prices of land increase, the ratio of ETH to sILV spent will increase and vice versa.

If the lands start high enough in cost, then it won't happen. If people are all flocking to buy something for the highest price that it will be auctioned for, then it isn't really an auction, it's more like something being sold in a store. If the prices start extremely high, then a true value can be determined by the entry points that people choose.

it's simple

starting from an aim to have fun & to make money is pretty different

it affects how people play, meta, twisted game economics, cheating and many things weird that we think we would never see before

eventually it will toxicates the overall in-game sentiment (you can't have fun any more, because you lose money or lose a battle very often)

you can't play the meta you like (which may not strong as much, but you enjoy playing it), because a player who perfervidly looking for money just dominate

don't get me wrong, i wish it'd last long too, im a big fan of illuvium, but when think about it thoroughly, it's very hard to sustain over the period of time

ps. game economics & balance must be 1000% more freaking precise than non-p2e game, or else the game will get rekt in no time)

When you withdraw SLP (we don't have a term "unstake") you will have to claim rewards first. It's a procedure, and no way around that on V1. Having said that, claiming SLP reawrds happen in 2 ways:

1. you either claim sILV = not possible cuz it is blocked atm

2. claiming ILV = which also claims sILV dust (tiny amount of sILV) and since sILV claims are halted, then you can't claim ILV as well.

All the above means you can't claim rewards and since you can't claim rewards, you can't withdraw SLP atm.

This is the whole explanation in details

This has nothing to do if you only plan to claim your ILV pool rewards. You can go ahead in "rewards" claim ILV from ILV pool.

its kind of small..$1000 total (ilv + eth)..the eth fees i pay for entering sushi-lp pool should be compensated by the pool apy rewards i think ?!

not at the moment. gas will not be super friendly for that amount on V1. I def suggest waiting for V2 if you wanna stake. Also make sure you read all the docs regarding staking (I sent some PMs above)
