sILV is a substitute currency that can only be gained as yield when staking ILV. In game, it can be used to pay for any fee (excluding IlluviDEX trades and Leviathan Arena wagers) that otherwise would be paid for with the main currency ETH. The value of sILV in the game - and for possible sales where sILV is allowed - will be equal to the value of ILV.

While claimed staking rewards in the form of ILV are locked for 12 months, sILV offers the opportunity to liquidate your staking rewards immediately. The tradeoff for that is that sILV only can be used in-game and does not provide compounding in any form.

This means that any kind of revenue generated through sales or in-game revenue is distributed back to holders of staked ILV. The same max supply of 10 Million ILV will be used for this purpose regardless of how many games the DAO develops.

Revenue distribution is paid out in the form of unlocked ILV and the payout is done multiple times a week without a fixed schedule. Before paying out revenue distribution, the vault converts ETH spent in-game into ILV by buying it off the market which puts buying pressure on the ILV token and thus supports its price development.

If you were told that land sale would be able to accept sILV and with this information you put 50k-100k in sILV. How would you feel if someone told you that only 50% of what you have paid for can be accepted? You wouldn't be happy. Yes the revdis would be better if more ETH were to be used in the land sale, but it was never the case that ETH had to be used. Revdis will be coming from a lot more opportunities besides the land sale and having the sILV used is actually a good thing long term.

I was thinking… whenever someone posts a video or does an analysis on ILV they compare it to Axie… to try to get an understanding for where we may be… but looking at axies market cap and revenue does not seem to be a fair example because when Axie came out, they had the entire market. When Illuvium comes out, we will have I would think…. 5-10 other NFT games to compete against over the next year or so? I keep hearing “if Axie is this big, we should be this big” but I don’t think that works when you consider competition and I’m just wondering what everyone thinks. One additional point is in 1-3 years from now, there may be 100 viable NFT games as options

Hey guys, new but I am trying to find gameplay information for the auto-battler. I have been a leaderboards player in just about every auto-battler that has been released so I'm particularly interested in how items and the player character work with game design, as a well designed AB game will be the primary factor for Illuvium taking off in my opinion. From what I can gather weapons and armour are only equipable by your PC, and only before the game starts? In Dota Auto Chess, Underlords, TFT, etc. the items system (wherein your board can equip a range of upgradeable items throughout each match) is the primary mechanic that allows strategy variability (which translate to long-term appeal and replayability). I think personally that if you take this element out of an auto battler, it needs to be replaced by something that provides equal gameplay variability, or else the game could become quite stale. So this is something I'm worried about when it comes to Illuvium's design. The other aspect is that it seems to me that the PC being a board piece means that you'll have the same character in every match, further protracting from gameplay variability. Is there any information out there on how exactly the auto battler works, or am I too early to be posing these kinds of questions?
