a Little. in the F2P part of the game, there are no hamperings on the Bots. See the way they reduce bots is by having everyone pay for catching illuvials, But since F2P doesn't have that wall, bots can go ham on farming T0s, which then will quickly reduce in value. So you might be able to get a petty penny. But not much if you don't put in some money.
Also, since everyone can do the same you do, you are dependent on people who don't want to grind and just buy those illuvials. but they could do that work in a couple of hours as well. 🙂 So depends on them being lazy as well!

For open beta we are trying for about half.

We added extra Illuvials. I think the final count will be something like 207, but that includes the 75 tier 0.

Layer 1's are blockchain networks. The Ethereum Mainnet is a layer 1. A layer 2 is a way to fit more transactions onto a layer 1. Layer 2's can be pretty complicated, but basically they let you do transactions with the security of the layer 1 blockchain, but without having to pay as high of fees for those transactions.

Illuvium will be played on a Layer 2 solution (called Immutable X - IMX for short). This means that players will pay no gas fees for transactions while in game. Assets like ETH can be transferred between Layer 1 and Layer 2, but it costs gas to do so. Having the capacity for IMX to allow people to purchase ETH within IMX's layer 2 would mean that people wouldn't have to pay gas fees to transfer ETH onto the layer 2.

I actually haven’t seen anything to that nature, most likely itd have to go through the DAO, to get a decision like that voted on. That being said though, this is one of the first games that content creators can play that will make them money as they play so I’m not sure there’s necessarily a need to pay a fee to have someone feature it on their channel. Looking at the possible target price of $30-50 for each loop in the game my guess is that the baseline for illuvials on the marketplace will be anywhere from $80-130, and the high point could be anything, looking at axie the highest was something like 300eth. So I think that’s a pretty good incentivization to play.

The main game, Illuvium, will start out Free To Play as Tier0. You can explore the world on wonderful adventures to mine shards as well as battle, defeat and capture Tier0 Illuvials. As you build your team and level them up, they will gain in value. You can then, if you choose to do so, sell some of these illuvials in the marketplace for Ethereum.

To travel to higher tier areas, you will need to spend Eth (or sILV) to cover your travel costs. You would have also spent some Eth (or sILV) to buy fuel and have a few cured shards in your pocket. If you are a Pay To Earn player, you would have invested in some Eth already, but if you are a Free To Play and Earn player, you would have gained this Eth by selling illuvials you have picked up in your Tier0 adventures.

Arenas and PVP

Each illuvial will have a stage of evolution and a set of Individual Values.

If we meet in the Leviathan Arena, and I have a stage 1 Ramphy while you have a stage 3 Ramphyre, you will have the advantage. If we both have a stage 1 Ramphy and mine has higher IVs than yours, I have the advantage.
In the Leviathan Arena, you are what you are, and I am what I am, and we can wager Eth on our battle. Only the strongest survive.

If we meet in the Ranked Arena, we could both use any of the 3 stages in the Ramphyre line, and the IVs would not be included in the power of the creature. This is because the Ranked Arena is “normalized” so that your logic and strategy, your skill as a player, is the dominant factor in determining the winner. This means that Pay To Win players that have bought the best of the best, won’t have the advantage of more powerful creatures. This gives everyone a fair chance to win, be it a grinding free player or a whale.

Tournaments will be in the Ranked Arena format, and will host some of the most profitable E-Sports prizes the world has ever seen. 50 Million? 60 Million? There are 1M tokens set aside for in-game opportunities like tournaments. Current ILV value at the time of this writing is $1600, so 1M tokens is equal to 1.6 Billion dollars. That’s sure a lot of prize money to give out over the next several years.
