I was thinking, and I like the suggestion of airdropping ILV tokens to the Gods Unchained people, whom will be using $GOD and also is using IMX. Since Illuvium is going to be using the ImmutableX (ZK-rollup) system, same as Gods Unchained. It'll be a much smoother transition for those blockchain dedicated players to be interested and join Illuvium.

sILV is a substitute currency that can only be gained as yield when staking ILV. In game, it can be used to pay for any fee (excluding IlluviDEX trades and Leviathan Arena wagers) that otherwise would be paid for with the main currency ETH. The value of sILV in the game - and for possible sales where sILV is allowed - will be equal to the value of ILV.

While claimed staking rewards in the form of ILV are locked for 12 months, sILV offers the opportunity to liquidate your staking rewards immediately. The tradeoff for that is that sILV only can be used in-game and does not provide compounding in any form.

There is already liquidity on Uniswap for sILV, it is trading at around 50% of ILV

so you can convert your staking rewards into ETH, but you have to take a 50% haircut

I imagine the difference between sILV and ILV will tighten up as we get closer to the land sale. So anyone looking to cash in their sILV may have a good opportunity then.

In Illuvium there is no intention to guarantee any kind of value generation via F2P. The Tier 0 part is meant as tutorial and an opportunity for a comprehensive experience of the full game loop. For the sake of entering the play2earn parts of the game, players will have to inject funds into the economy.

There is a high probability though, that it will be possible to get from F2P to P2E without injecting funds directly but through grinding Tier 0 Illuvials/Shards/Materials and then selling them on the market. There is also the possibility to even level those Tier 0 Illuvials up and sell them for higher. But for how long this will be viable and what prices can be fetched this way...that is for the free market to decide upon 🙂

Free to Earn economies are not sustainable, so there have to be paid gates somewhere of course. How efficient the individual revenue funnels are, how much one really can make as profits etc. are all things that cannot be estimated yet. Also depends on the amount of players, the demand for items, etc. All the important numbers though (including the percentage of fees on the marketplace or the individual fees for certain actions) can be adjusted though and it is the community who at any time could make such a proposal and if the current council approves it, then those values would be changed 🙂

The very first time you interact with a smart contract, you have to basically approve the interaction, and then after that you can stake. Did you maybe only do the approval transaction? (It would be two separate gas transactions the first time you stake)

People speculate but no one really can tell you how much it will be. A dutch auction means high starting prices from where it goes down over time until someone buys. So the starting price is completely irrelevant. What matters is the price that people deem right to buy and that is something many can guess but no one actually foresee 🙂

I happen to think all of this "candy" they have been providing us tastes very delicious, to be honest. I truly appreciate the work the team does and in such a short amount of time. Every bit they give tends to make me more excited for the game so I'd say it's working. • You acquire either some ILV or some Sushi LP tokens

• You decide whether to lock your deposit or not (if locked, you will receive more rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution, but you cannot withdraw your deposit until the chosen locking period is over)

I'd recommend doing big stakes just to minimize gas fees, and like Wade said, wait till gas is not 180-ish - a reasonable gas is 60-70, we usually hit that a few times a week if you can be patient. 100-ish is a pretty normal gas if you don't wanna wait like, days.

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

The game will rely on outside money coming in for anyone to make money. This isnt a magic value printer.

I see it as an investment game: you catch a lot of illuvials at the start, when they are low in capture cost (only require a T1 shard). Then hold onto the illuvials till later when the prices go up because bonding curve. However, when you need T2-4 shards for T1 illuvials, less people will go on travels so fuel prices will drop, which results in lower travel fees. Once you jump in near the end of a season/generation, you can still invest, but the starting price will be steeper. And you would rather just do ranked tournaments than going on catching sprees. Once the new Gen comes out, the bonding curve for those new illuvials will be at 0 again, so you will see a wave-like pattern in activity/revenue for people with lower income, but a similar activity for whales.

The tokenomics underlying ILV are the best I’ve ever seen in crypto, the people who made it dont profit more than anyone else who is staking and 100% of revdis is shared amongst all who stake their ILV, this is unheard of, we already have a market cap of $370million, thats huge in so short a time and we dont even have a game let alone a trailer released, the trailer and game release will be huge for ILV, but long term this only gets better, ILV isnt 1 game, its many games yet to come, and the revenue earned from all future games will also be distributed to ILV stakers, as for ILV price, all of this distribution to stakers, the way it happens is the ETH earned from the games is used to buy ILV, then this ILV is distributed to stakers, this is permanent ILV buy pressure pushing price up literally forever, so the long term potential is insane and this isnt a gaming company because gaming companies lose so many of their players because their players grow up and decide its a waste of their time because they need to get a life and make money, but now that wont be the case as people can grind this game for a month and at the end of the day if they want to quit they can sell everything theyve grinded for in game for real money and walk away from the game not feeling like their time was stolen from them, and this is crypto, and this cant be stopped so who knows the potential
