It's totally up to you - different people are ok with different amounts of gas to claim. I usually try and keep gas to 10% of the rewards value. Since rewards only start compounding after you claim, and rewards right now are presumably about as good as they'll ever get (because the rewards distributed decrease every 2 weeks), there's some value in claiming earlier than you might otherwise, especially if you expect ILV to go up considerably.

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

While claimed staking rewards in the form of ILV are locked for 12 months, sILV offers the opportunity to liquidate your staking rewards immediately. The tradeoff for that is that sILV only can be used in-game and does not provide compounding in any form.

1. There is fusing for which you need three levelled copies of a particular Illuvial on Stage 1 or 2 and those can be fused to one copy of the next stage.
2. There is the ranked arena where everything gets normalized to not have it crazy pay2win. This means that stat values are all equalized (regardless of the values of each copy) and you are allowed to use whatever stage of an Illuvial you want. Doesn't matter if you own a Stage 1, 2 or 3 of a particular line, you can play it as any stage.

So Lashmar did explain the right things there 🙂

With the constant increase of interest in P2E and NFT's I expect fees to get even higher even after the updated. This will only disincentive retail costumers to invest in NFT's and P2E. As a substantial investor I would like the devs to take a look at this issue and start concepting a solution such as Arbitrum or even if necessary switch to a more efficient blockchain such as ADA or SOL. sILV can only be gained from Yield Farming by staking ILV. Only 3m ILV will be paid out over three years this way. So only up to 3m can be claimed as sILV. Any sILV claimed prevents the same amount of ILV from getting minted in the first place (effectively reducing the max token supply of ILV below 10m). We try to avoid min maxing. The game is much more built around finding ways to counter. Not picking a meta 'best comp'. That's boring

The challenge with countering in auto battler is that it can get to the point where there is only one good strategy. I have tried my best to avoid this by having a bunch of orthogonal systems that are all easy to understand by themselves, but hard to work out how they all fit together. But who knows if I get it right.

If people don't like the game a lot, I'll keep working until they like it.

One of the things with being a public beta on launch is there WILL be changes. And the big tournaments will have to wait until we have a good set up.

The good news is that we have a good team that is helping with this stuff. So I'm confident. We are bringing on a new game designer pretty soon too.

• sell farmed materials
• sell crafted items
• play the marketplace (buy low, sell high)
• wager on battles in the Leviathan Arena
• earn some of the 1 Million ILV set aside for in-game rewards

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

When you travel to a region you have a certain amount of energy. That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

You have to pay a small fee, not fix yet around 10$ to travel alnd and catch Illuvials. those you can sell on the marketplace
