So, Axies Infinity has over 1 million active daily users and they use Ronin sidechain to help with the Ethereum gas fees. But, as far as I know the game still suffers from the issue of high fees and slow speeds. Now, let's say that the Illuvium gets to 1 Million daily active users in no time. Will it also not suffer from high fees and slow speeds despite Immutable X? Could it cause Ethereum to grind to a screeching halt the way Crypto Kitties did back in 2017 with the gas fees absolutely exploding? Granted that the layer 2 solutions such as the Immutable X were not available in 2017 and Ethereum's throughput was absolutely pathetic back then, but how effective will they be when these games start racking up millions of active daily users?
