This is a massive issue in GU. The community has been vocal about them fixing it, but they let it go. I fundamentally disagree with the dishonesty of it all and is one part of why I no longer support the game. There are old posts proving the wash trading on Reddit and tagging admins from years ago. Happy for me I’ve landed here.

What I believe weighs on their ecosystem is the tokenomics and NFT inflation; they don't have a rarity system or token scarcity, which complicates the long-term significantly.

they have both rarities and scarcity, you can only mint so many NFTs each month limited by off-chain tokens you earn in ranked wins and after each season those NFTs are disabled for usage in the game

The lands are not connected to the blockchain yet, but it's possible to obtain NFT blueprints that can be traded later. Besides that, all progress with the lands will be reset before the game's official launch.
