How much the overworld cost doesn’t really make sense as a question because the assets are going to be used across all games

Very hard to say. For a while Arena had the higher dev count but art wise Overworld was higher. But illuvial assets were mainly built for arena.

Since there is a large shared cost I don’t think it’s possible to accurately assess nor is it relevant if we agree both are needed.

Both could have been cheaper if we didn’t care about the graphics.

Personally I think the question will become less meaningful over time as things integrate more. A new illuvial will be seen in all games. And hopefully use the same assets.

There are many more reasons. For example a large number of people want a world they can belong to. Arena alone does very little to cover that group.

Illuvium has been built using the principle of emergence. Simple systems that all work to create something bigger than the sum of the parts.

When council members discuss the games publicly they should be careful to not discredit the importance of any of the games.

This continuous knocking against OW is getting old, especially when it is done by a council member. Each of the games appeals to different types of players and each of the games should be branded as fundamental to Illuvium.

Startups need to be flexible and not fixated on one idea. If the Arena doesn’t retain players they should look at other avenues not just put in more and more work into the Arena. Maybe create a kart racer. Maybe expand on IZ or the overworld ect. Most startups fail because of their inability to pivot or change focus.

T1- T5 is referring to where the only place to get those illuvials are which is of course is " behind a travel pay wall"

Seems TFT players are the target market and some people will latch onto overworld and collecting the Illuvials themselves in the process, as you'll always see that as part of trailers and promos. If Illuvials are too expensive on the secondary for the arena players, it will drive more people to want to play overworld. I think it will all balance out in the end. Then there's ILZ, which some people may just randomly stumble on in the app store to discover Illuvium, others will choose to buy land for overworld fuel/blueprints/profit.

Lore and curiosity to explore this world will lure people into overworld and across the games too

I agree and would add set cycles to this too. At the beginning of each set most will rush to the overworld to sell/collect the new illuvials. By the end of a set most will have completed the set and be in pvp waiting for the new set to drop.

Each element is essentially a different habitat and there must be different creatures
why do I need duplicate Illuvials, it's not interesting

I would suggest that the specialised subcouncils will still take the idea into consideration and post the idea themselves or even just push through an IIP as community representatives if that is to the benefit of the project.

It would be strange if a guild or other group block the outcome of an idea while they voted for a representative that supports the idea. While it can happen, the council will at some point do what is necessary.

Value of Illuvials is simple: what's happenning when you bring a shitload of players and that get a shitload of free stuff, all the paying stuff are rarer = making them more expensive. Law of supply and demand. That's why the most important is F2P game modes for adoption and PvP game modes for retention. (not only that though)

Im not sure i agree with that... but what i will say is the more interaction the game has the bigger the partnerships you can form, the bigger the e sports events you can have and the more chance you have of the originally f2p community which will likely be 95-99% of players in mainstream f2p model games... they are likelier to spend money on building a team 🙂 theres more than 1 way to generate money from a fanbase and that includes advertisers sponsering streams and the free viewers drawing money into the eco system wether it be e sports sponsors or anything streaming or video based. I think the more free access and interactions they have the more money comes to the space, not just in games asset sales but in all sorts of ways, they become better and more plentyful in number brand fans 🙂 so i agree - more t0's the better!

Nope, plan is for a close version of the racing game to be available at the end of year and a public one early 2024. It will be made in a F1 style, so the city will be showcased.

First open-world experience is scheduled for mid 2024 and maybe by then you will be able to access or see the Illuvium building in Wiami.

How long is the alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero expected to last?

Illuvium: Zero's alpha testing is divided into two seasons, and Season 0 has already come to a close. At the end of this season, all data, including blueprints, were wiped and reset. The main purpose of Season 0 was for the development team to address bugs and balance issues, while also ensuring a clean slate before transitioning to Season 1.

Currently, we're in the midst of Season 1, which began on May 25th, 2023. Season 1 will continue until we reach the open beta stage. At the end of this season, there will be another data reset. However, here's some exciting news for you: during the last few months of Season 1, players will have the opportunity to mint the blueprints they've researched as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). These minted NFTs will persist beyond the alpha reset, and you'll be able to use them to craft skins in the Illuvium: Overworld once we reach the Open Beta phase.

As we approach the open beta stage, we'll provide more detailed information about the minting window.

Which means migrating what exists today (the Alpha Client that you have installed on your PC) to a new Beta Stream Architecture.
