I would wait till wave 2 to start buying Illuvitars unless you want to make a big push to make it into the top 100 leaderboard, if that is the case look at the secondary to buy to start building your collection. Land is a great investment but ILV is the safest investment overall

How long is the alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero expected to last?

Illuvium: Zero's alpha testing is divided into two seasons, and Season 0 has already come to a close. At the end of this season, all data, including blueprints, were wiped and reset. The main purpose of Season 0 was for the development team to address bugs and balance issues, while also ensuring a clean slate before transitioning to Season 1.

Currently, we're in the midst of Season 1, which began on May 25th, 2023. Season 1 will continue until we reach the open beta stage. At the end of this season, there will be another data reset. However, here's some exciting news for you: during the last few months of Season 1, players will have the opportunity to mint the blueprints they've researched as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). These minted NFTs will persist beyond the alpha reset, and you'll be able to use them to craft skins in the Illuvium: Overworld once we reach the Open Beta phase.

As we approach the open beta stage, we'll provide more detailed information about the minting window.

We should all perhaps be a little more tolerant when it comes to English since it is not everyone's native language. I interpreted it as his opinion rather than a fact. Otherwise, he would have written "have to" instead of "should."

Furthermore, I believe that as a council member, one should be open to all opinions and not "have a problem" with someone who has different ideas and suggestions regarding something recently released by Illuvium. Especially in such a small community like Illuvium, where we have no idea how things will be received in a large community.... by the approximately 10,000 people, we should take every voice seriously.

I don’t have a problem with anyones opinion, but if it is phrased as a fact when we would need a crystal ball to verify it; or when people disregard opposing arguments/views/
I generally play devils advocate towards that, doesn’t necessarily mean I disagree, just disagree with forcing something onto others because one personally thinks it would be best for majority, which is different to giving personal feedback and saying I‘d like this change.
Personal feedback is very valueable overall, oftentimes the idea how to fix the problem wouldn’t ideally work though (none of this is only trying to refer to this, but rather overall on similar topics)

It seems like a very useful tool for erc20 token swapping and staking on an L2 that is highly compatible with IMX. There will be a great benefit for players that are able to swap eth for fuel or fuel for eth on L2 instead of on ethereum mainnet.

Similarly, the gas fees experienced by ILV stakers is significant at the moment. But if ILV staking protocol were on immutable zkEVM then the fees ought to be greatly reduced.

IMO the NFTs should still be free to be sold after an account is banned. It still matters that the account was banned because it will have your rank and such with it.
Maybe they disallow NFTs from a banned account from being used for 30 days or something to further disincentivice breaking ToS. Full banning of NFTs is ridiculously harsh.

But also, very very very few things will be 100% decentralized. Some people, particularly bitcoin fundamentalists, try to paint decentralization as black and white. When it has a massive grey area.
Axie was able to ban you from selling your NFTs because they controlled the chain, the ronin chain. Illuvium won't control imx, so not sure they could even ban you from selling. They do control the game client and how it reads the NFTs though. NFT games are going to be a lot more centralized than other crypto dApps/apps. That's fine. There is still a ton of benefit to using these technologies. And will be more in the future

I would be greatly surprised if, in the future, there were no rotating mini-games similar to those in League of Legends. For now, we are trying to avoid adding too much to the team's plate. The challenge arises when these seemingly "easy" changes accumulate and you end up with over 1000 of these "easy things" to incorporate into the game which in turn keeps the team from focusing on the major issues at hand.

Personally having played the overworld mainly, and will most likely continue too, it doesn't need much more. When resource gathering to make items, potions or any other made elements in a game. It becomes tiresome to have too many challenges in your way when doing so. Too many elements to master will make gathering resources take way too long.
Sure add some other elements. Yet I think putting too many barriers in the way of actual collecting will become a hindrance and not add value.
Separate instances into maybe a dungeon or something would be cool. Yet as a resource gatherer I mainly want to focus on getting the resources.

did you see the new about the ultra rare MTG card (the One ring) 001/001 that is being sold (or trying to) for 1m ? To me that is the cool and hard thing to replicate from phisical to digital, the feeling that you own something unique and valuable

anything that is "earn" related is gonna sound like you are playing for money. You can hide it as you want, like saying no you play for assets that then you can sell, trade... (but money/monetary value is always there)

So I´m just thinking out loud, but web2 gamers already earn things. Most web2 games already have digital assets, in some of them you can even trade them for real money in ebay or wherever. so why the hell a web2 gamer would be surprised of owning digital assets? I bet they don´t give a shit. The ideal is that they keep playing and they keep the asset just because it represent a value in the community.

As an example, I play casual MTG, and when I open a booster pack and an ultra-rare card comes in, I feel happy because I know it has an enormous value for the community (that obviously reflects into money), but I don´t want to keep it for its value in money, but in game.

So for me, it is obvious that we need a great game, with a great and big community, to print value into the NFTs despite market speculation (because at first, there will be a lot of speculation on new illuvials). Keep the players, keep the community and the value will be always there. I guess this is a pretty obvious thought but anyway, just to conclude that web3 should´t imply any change at all IMO

Maybe it should just be 'play how you want' there is no point trying to cover up the fact people will play with the hope of making money.
It might be play to keep and collect or play to have fun and maybe get a return if you feel like stopping. Maybe it's the idea you get to keep everything and it's not wiped from existence at the whim of the Devs.
Maybe stay away from any slogan like that and call it an IBG

It will go down a lot more. They might be good at creating characters, but they suck at tokenomics. Two VCs already, and with an extremely low selling price, if one is already bad, imagine 2. And releasing their tokens before they launch something open. I've always supported the game from the beginning, but I'm starting to realize that they don't have even close to good financial management.

yeah I´m just a little bit ironic cause all the time ILV token price is being related to the product, something unavoidable since it represents some early investors dumps, but I really don´t feel that people is aware that the ILV token bubble and the development bubble is not always the same
