As far as Google Paid Ads, we were running some when Ena was with Illuvium Labs, but since that time we have scaled back to zero.

Once the open beta starts, you will have to pay for the T1-T5 Illuvials which covers about 130/205 Illuvials. The ones that will be obtainable for free are the Tier zeroes and their various affinity-forms: Doka, Atippo, Volante, Grokko and Fliish.

Yes it’s only 1v1 for now, I’m really hoping they implement a mode to play with friends soon after launch.
To me that’s part of any games MVP, I think it’s insane to ship a game with no ability to play with friends these days.

too early to say with authority, I would expect certain aspects of it to be greatly aided by AI in the coming years but I very much doubt that it will be capable of matching an experienced team. More like a tool that aids in rapid prototyping
But things like golden paths, player communication, all I think are well beyond AI capabilities for now.

Over the coming years I imagine we will transition from it helping devs speed up work, which GPT-4 already does tremendously well, to basically doing 99% of the work itself. Just with input on what we want. Who knows if that's 1, 5 or 20 years away, but assuming there's not a ceiling that we're about to hit that's coming, all ~devs~ workers should embrace it. Or be washed away by companies that do.
Idk when things will plateau with AI, but there's still so so much low hanging fruit first that I'm very confident that we still have so much insanity to come in the next year. GPT with code interpreter is so so insane. It basically plugs the weaknesses of current GPT-4. It can't count and do math all that well, but you give it an innate coding ability and it can whip up code to do that instead.

This is exactly the attitude I'm worried about lol.
Because the speed in which development can be sped up could be massive very soon. Imagine giving it a skin (in both the file type that the skin is created with, and through images) and asking it for a similar skin, except in blue, with (and I'm making this up) flower like features. And have it output a workable file that the artist can now use to fine tune it and make it perfect.
Imagine in the future we have omega skins (which should absolutely be a thing, people would go crazy for these WAY more than any ranger skin).
Imagine you feed it the rhamphyre ult, and say can you make this blue, and change the particles to have a hazy effect, again making it up but the point of these models is that you can pretty much ask it for whatever effect you want. You give it it's starting point that the artists came up with (like the rhamphyre ult) and it gives you a workable animation to tweak and make perfect. This way they could more easily make limited runs on a ton of different amazing skins. As the time it takes to develop them falls by an order of magnitude.

gpt-4 with code interpreter I believe has this ability, but it's extremely limited rollout and obviously not directly trained to do this. It's just an emergent property. But it can take in all types of file types and output all types of files.
Even when it rolls out to the public/premium members I doubt it'll be ready for illuvium's use. But I do not think it's "not anytime soon". It's here, it's not good enough yet, but it's here.

We need a complete new thing for the CGI. The main problem what stable diffusion and others trying to solve is continuity and the ability to edit the result and keep parts that you like.
- add on top the complexity of the output currently needed for the game, and other use.
by 'any time soon' I personally think its in the range of 5-10.
PS right now the NFT that I'm doing, in my mind I think this is the last time I'm doing such a job and next time it'll be done by the AI. I do look forward to it, and as soon as there is an option to help out art team with it, we will introduce it and use it. Why not?

First off as long as you guys are staying up to date with the progress and will use it once it becomes useful that’s all I care about.
I’m not talking about stable diffusion, I’m talking gpt. It’s not an illusion, I don’t have access to code interpreter yet but it can output these file types
I’m a software dev. When chatgpt first came out the code it wrote was full of bugs. Still could be useful to ask questions about certain things. Then gpt 4 came out and all of the sudden it could code reasonably well, and output solid code as long as you guide it (that part is very important). Part of the reason people think it’s limited it because people like to use gpt 3.5 and cherry pick. Not that it’s not limited in any way but this thing is insanely good if you prompt it the right way. And these things scale exponentially as compute + tokens increase. We don’t even know the full capabilities of gpt 4 yet, when equipped with a code interpreter especially.
Code interpreter and other plugins are taking this to the next level. The ability to input and output basically any file type is massive.
Maybe I’m just a moonboi of AI, but it’s getting better pretty much every month if not every week. I’m seeing and using it first hand. If you asked me before chatgpt I would’ve thought this type of coding ability was at least a decade out.
