I think illuvium already went through that wave of hype ( like many other web3 games) during the last run. Hyping it up again won’t bring anything but doubts and concerns about the release of the game. Let the team do what they do best for now. And I don’t think it needs hyping up after that. Land owners can currently play Illuvium: Zero in the closed Alpha test.

Currently in "Season 0" of the Alpha test and all data will be wiped when the team switches to Season 1. Then when we switch from the Alpha to the Open beta, there will be another wipe, but any blueprints you found during Season 1 will be kept 👍

Once we're in Open Beta, that's when land owners can also sell their fuel for ETH.

There's no word of a system like that being developed by the team at Illuvium. But there are other organizations out there who will be producing systems similar to that and you should be able to lend your land out through a 3rd party when the time comes.

They have love by having a large amount of tokens. This is coming from someone who could get into the top 100. I know the theory behind it, encourage people to buy more. But if the top 100 has some insurmountable amount of illuvitars does it really encourage anyone or jsut keep giving ilv to people who can already afford to get it.
Also if it is coming from game rewards then it is taking rewards away from players and will mean less goes to people who will play the game.
The other option is it’s coming out of revdis rewards and I don’t think I need to explain how that’ll go down. I think we all know it’ll end up just being whales who get ilv and the pay off from taking rewards from elsewhere won’t make up for it. Especially if we are far out from a game being launched. I don’t mean this as an insult I just think it will end up as 100 whales who get more ilv and people won’t end up having more encouragent to buy more especially before any real utility arises

Having a deeper leaderboard is something we talked about and have considered, absolutely. We want to monitor behavior/spending changes since the leaderboard went into effect, and iterate appropriately. Ultimately, the amount of rewards distributed and the number of rewarded positions on the leaderboard should be something that drives value to the DAO, and the best way to determine those metrics will be to keep tabs on the data.

Id expect the value of land to indeed take a dip when new lands are sold. But who is to say the price wont 2x until then? The price may return to the current value when new lands are sold 🤷‍♂️
Also, new lands will first have to be built up, which takes a while as well. So lands may slowly decrease in price when new lands are out since the new lands cant just take over half the fuel production that rhey will produce after 0.5-2 years.
And by then the revenue may go up further, meaning the lands still make the same revenue, and prices dont change at all. Honestly idk.
But i expect the addition of more lands will just cap the value of lands at X instead of having them plummet every time more land is sold.

Why is it when you own four of one type from various power levels? It doesn’t show up as some thing you can sleeve in the album until you actually buy one off the marketplace and it’s exactly the same as one as I have then after buying it it appears as something I can sleeve, then when I go to pick that one, it has five options because I already owned four of them which wouldn’t show up to allow me to sleeve before but did after I bought one that was exactly like one I already had

Is this a bug?

There is just so much shit in the crypto space that it gets buried. The team doesnt put too much attention into marketing because the game isnt nearly what they want it to be ( soon we will get PvP). Once the core features are ready we will see a boom in marketing towards Web-2 as well, this will spike people joining the project and potential market valuation increase if the new members like the game and want to hodl a token 🤷‍♂️

So you are right. I dont think Illuvium is trying to be super high-profile yet.

The official marketplace for Illuvium is the IlluviDex (link is in #🔗〕helpful-links ). Currently it is a browser based marketplace running on ImmutableX so the listings can also be found on IMX and TokenTrove.

I can imagine eventually, the marketplace would also have an interface in-game in the future.
