Hello. Does anyone know how to make dinos spawn in colors from 128 to 254? I understand I should set the dynamiccolorset to their ID, but in this case, the https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Color_IDs#List_of_colors lists their ID ending with coloring. I tried putting the whole ID and it didn't work, should I just put the color name, removing the coloring string?

I dont even know if it's possible, I know through mutations dinos can spawn in those colors and they share the same number as the coloring dye

no worries. I just have the mod then I set color IDs in the INI so whatever colors you want can spawn in naturally. I would love to know how to do that dynamic config though

yeah they don't give really good instructions, but basically you need to create a file in github and there type the commands for the dynamic config and you use the raw.github as the URL in your game user settings. But I'm sure the mod is a way simpler way to do it lol

Are you using dynamic config setup already and those extra colours just don't work when you add them to the custom list? I do use the dynamic config way but have only tried standard Dino colours

Yes. The colors that have common IDs, like "Dino Albino" work fine, but the ones that have coloring in the end i'm struggling with

Yeah I use beacon for a lot of things. Honestly I'm like a lot of people and have just learned as I went. I'm sure there's tons I have to learn but I never know until someone tells me.

Has anybody been able to fix creatures not spawning in upper Blue/Green levels on an Ab server? I've done everything short of wiping the server back to Day 1 on a fresh save file and nothing is spawning on like 20-30%+ of the map on all the medium-to-high pathways. Removed all creature/spawn/etc mods, and it still won't spawn anything after server/console command dinowipes.

I was able to fix the same issue in SP by removing mods from list and re-adding, but the same didn't work for the server. I'm not sure what else to do to get things to actually spawn correctly like they should so good portions of the map aren't "unplayable". Spent most of today trying to fix it by removing/adding 1 mod at a time, but to no avail.

I was so excited earlier when I got it fixed for my SP, as I assumed whatever I did would also transfer over/apply to the server. But I was unfortunately incorrect on that assumption. If only WC would fix these huge issues. 3+ months since launch and so many things still wrong with Ab, mainly the spawns being broken and lighting/lumen/shadow also still being broken ever after however many patches where they "fixed it". My favorite official ASE map reduced to this pathetic state, rip.

Run with -converttostore -usestore and then the next time you relaunch, you should not need -converttostore as all the data will be integrated.
Important to note: .arkprofile & .arktribe files are not automatically deleted after conversion so should be deleted manually if you want to save storage space.
-usestore (utilizes a different saving method that stores player and tribe data inside of save files)

your gonna get a server mismatch ,
major version of client and server has to match i.e v57.xx
With some servers being updated and some not , it will be a transition period

Hrello 🙂 About the "new" savegame changes related to the profile and tribe data:
Did i understand the patch notes correcly?

• Start (one time) the server with -converttostore -usestore to get rid of the player and tribe files (yes, i have manually to delete them afterwards)
• Stop the server
• Start the server again with only -usestore
• Thats it. -usestore is a persitent argument, right?

I may have a fix testing it now. Someone in the Pterodactyl support said to rename the Steam and SteamApps folders (I just added .old at the end) and then start the server it is forcing it to re-download hopefully without messing with any other settings/files, but that is what I am testing now haha

The only servers I got working so far was Extinction (but I started it fresh again despite having one staged like you did), and randomly my Forglar server had zero issues. Every other server (8 others including the Center) were getting stuck with that same 0x6 error

On official servers standard explorer notes give a gain of 100 XP and a 10 minutes lasting effect where XP-Collection is twice as high (x2) and special note give x4. When I play solo, they all give x4. Is there a way to fix this?

Ok yeah thats pretty silly that nitrado let an xbox only server update to a version xbox doesn't even have yet. Definitely should ask for a refund. If nitrado is any good they will have a way to revert your server back to an older version (56.17)

the server runs a dedicated server client, it may be set to xbox only but that doesn't change anything about it's source of updates...it gets the same updates as all other servers from the location your server is now (whether Xbox Only or not)

you don't get an update for ps5 through nitrado. your server does. nitrado is updating servers to the latest version. However, there's currently an issue updating for some servers. some servers are not getting updated properly

try this: stop the map for at least 15 full minutes, then start it up again. If it restarts, let it go. Dont touch it. The update can do that and it may take a while but it eventually finishes.

Lot of mods being affected by this update and going to need a re-cook once Wildcard releases a devkit update. Any Dino Depot action (practically) is crashing servers currently. Mod dev has stated she's waiting for the devkit update to fix. A few Cyberstructures items potentially causing crashing. Admin Panel crashes servers and so on and so on.

if you made the server xbox only and did not update to the newest version then yes you should be able to make it playable. they made it where the new version is not compatible with the old client versions client must match the server version number to make it work

Good Afternoon! I'm running a server for my friends and using ASM for Evolved. I wanted to increase the maximum level of the dinos for the server. Right now I turned on the Override difficulty settings and by default it's at 120 with a 1.0 on the offset.

We want to be able to get a dino with a max level of 450 (I think this is the hard cap before it gets deleted or bugged? Based on what I searched on the internet)

What would be a good change on the settings for this? Thank you!

if you can remote into the server then you should be able to modify the game setup script and the gamesettings.ini but again you can not roll back the server version if it is updated to 57.12 or higher at this point

I would say self-hosted is the way to go but I had auto-update enabled and now my server will be down for... however long.

Even though it is not officially supported you should just run it on a linux box. You can buy a old desktop (or repurpose one) to run a dedicated.

(Oh, and I am on PC. they screwed up big time, not just for xBox).

What @fathom tinsel said is the best route for this... Sort of... if you are comfortable with dealing with Linux and command based setup then you can totally buy a cheap used Dell Optiplex with a 6 core or 8 core and run a cluster easily. I have a 4 core and it handles running all 5 servers right now fairly well. going with a 6 or 8 core will give you better performance. 32 GB min ram and at least use an SSD for the main drive. m.2 would be your best bet. I use steam for my updates on Win10 and use a script for booting each of my servers. I have them clustered and can be seen by outside players and internal players alike. a couple of players are UK/Scotland based and have loved the ping being 120ms compared to the 400ms on nitrado servers with 70 players

basically nitrado virtualizes their servers, so they can rent out server hardware to many people. the more people who share your server, the more degraded the performance will be

one trick you can try is runnng a vpn to a location near the location of the nitrado servers, to change your route to the server, might improve the connection

Okay I think I'm going insane or at the very least suffering from sleep deprivation. Is Extinction not out? My singleplayer save isnt letting me access the Extinction engrams, or the new bobs tall tales content. I physically shut down my self-hosted dedicated like 3 hours ago. It would come up, not restart loop but it was impossible to join from the browser or command line even if I removed the password. I didn't see a reason for it to be eating power if it's not doing anything. (HomeLab).

I tried most workarounds I could think of but it seems like they really broke something this time. Probably client and server side x.x

This is why you have "Read only Friday's" Never do major releases on a Friday and never do them right next to a holiday. It sucks for everyone. I do IT, I get it.

if your sure the file paths are right, delete stm cmd and reinstall it, worked for someone else i was helping with same issue . no idea why , but it was a last resort thing that i had them try

For steamcmd? It has its own folder elsewhere since I have several other games that use it to launch servers.

The major point is that the last time I launched the server, back when Aberration was young, there were no issues. But for Extinction it seems the server refuses to move on.

The parameter ?QueryPort=XXXX is no longer working for me. The server always overrides it with 7777, and the second server with 7778, and so on. Was something changed?

query port not used in asa ,thats the old steam server listing port, asa only uses a udp game port for connecting set with -port=xxxx
otherwise they default to 7777 then 7778 ,7779 etc as each server instance is started

it will need the full path to work correctly, it might be a weighting issue as you have the owl at 0.1 and manas at 0.05

i have it on false. The dinos are over level 150 but have weird levels like 99 or 171. How do I get good numbers like 170 or 180 again and not 171

so 5 = 5 times 30 =150 , the dinos are level 5,10,15 etc
if u used say 10 they wud come in 10,20,30,40 etc
upto lvl 300

Quick question I hade 4 people lose characters to the servers crashing I want to try roll back one map they were all on yesterday to try restore them . How exactly do I roll back safely

Does anyone else have the problem that some servers don't start since yesterday? 5/9 of our servers shoot through the roof with RAM (60gb+) when starting and then crash.
Reinstalling etc. didn't help and the mods are the same on all servers. Dino Depot and Admin Panel are already removed.

im also having the timeout issue, have yet to remove mods after checking all plugins i have running but if i use the command reconnect i can manage to actually connect sometimes takes 2 or 3 trys, it seems pretty random sometimes i can log in fine then relog to check and get timedout again, always from transferring.

i made a new char and was able to log in fine everytime ive tried so far including xfering off and back to extinction and reloging a few times just fine

im currently running 120 Mod server that ran fine before Ext. update. 70-80png. i realize mods need to update but which mods would i be expecting to update? since so much was updated, would even simple tools mods like something that adds a new pick or something have to be updated?

at the very least u might be able to see what the last few lines are that could hint at the problem like if it is a mod failing to load
