Update from Cloudflare - Cloudflare has identified the root cause as related to a database replication issue due to a configuration error. It was not related to any outside event or traffic. We are working on fully restoring the database cluster. In the interim, we have restored functionality to most services with replicas but users will see increased latency and intermittent issues in the dashboard that in most cases will be addressed with retry. We will provide another update in 60 minutes.

Updated Update from Cloudflare: Monitoring - Monitoring - Some of our database replicas has been restored and are back in service, more will be restored imminently. Service should be restored back to normal levels, and we are continuing to monitor our systems to ensure a smooth recovery. We will be continuing the Fear Evolved rates until the Extra Life event starts at 10 am PT. We'll then use the Extra Life rates based on the current donation milestones. In doing this, we're avoiding a "rate downtime" for our players, that said, please note that the Hex Rewards rate increase will not work until the TLC update is out.
The TLC update is scheduled to go live at 10am PT. I I suggest you hold off on throwing out your masses of eggs for breedfest 2020 until you have the patch downloaded and you're back in-game safe and sound ❤️

Unfortunately if you had an imprint prior to the timers going active/rate change, you'll have to wait for that one to be 'complete', and the next timer you receive will be reduced. So any ones that are podded with long timers will have to go through them (but after that they'll be short).

We're aware some servers are experiencing issues that affect server stability etc (it's more common when we have heavily increased rates for Extra Life). Our engineers are continuing to address these issues as they're able.

<@&735187083957633025> We're still investigating the server timeout that occurs approximately every 30 - 45 minutes on our Official Network, it's likely to need a client side update when it is resolved (which means cert etc), but we'll keep you posted if there's an update to come sooner.
And we're also investigating a bug related to the session filter getting stuck when looking at Player Dedicated or Non-Dedicated sessions. A temporary work around for now is to disconnect your internet when stuck on this menu (either via unplugging your ethernet, or disconnecting the wifi), that should allow you to flip the filter back to normal.

(What happened context: we had to update some backend stuff today relating to Xbox Live/Microsoft but didn't have a precise moment when it would occur. Unfortunately updating too soon would mean you wouldn't have been able to connect either, so we had to wait until the new stuff was live to be able to push our server update out too. We've been able to confirm on a few specific servers (with quick restarts) that the new tech is live, so we're pushing out a full deployment now. Once it seems stable on our end, we'll get it out to Nitrado too so they can make sure Unofficials have the upgrade on their end.)

Hey console gang, I told you that the flyer speed changes for unofficial along with the skiff balance changes would be included in the next major version update (which went live yesterday).
There were technical issues with the flyer speed changes and we decided it was safest to revert until we're confident it wont cause issues. Working on a solution. As for the skiff balance changes, well, we just missed that at merge time (we've been very busy 
) and we'll make sure it's merged in with the Easter patch.

We've been able to identify a possible fix, and our team has been working on it over the past few days. It is currently in the process of being put through its paces by our QA team. So far, their tests have shown that this build is stable, and we've resolved the crash, so we're ready to move onto the next stage.
The next stage of this process will involve a slow-roll out of this build where we will update a few servers on PC that are experiencing a high volume of this crash. The reason for this cautious approach is because this crash is related to saved data, and to fix it, we've had to make some changes to how we store specific data on large save files. Due to the technical complexity, we want to make sure we're cautious, especially as it involves saved data.
Once the update has rolled out to a few servers, we'll let it sit for a while and monitor the effects and results. We'll better understand whether this has resolved the issue entirely and whether it has introduced any unforeseen side effects. Assuming all goes well and we confident with the patch, we'll plan for a network-wide rollout.
We appreciate the patience and understanding everyone has shown while we're dealing with this frustrating issue. Our goal is to have a fix out as soon as possible on all platforms. We'll keep you posted when we have more updates.

Latest update on the server-save crash situation. We're had the fix running on an assortment of servers across the weekend and our results show that this crash has been completely resolved, none of our cases had failed. We're now going to begin the process of rolling out the fix across our entire PC network and continue to monitor for any side effects.
Console users, the fix for your server is currently going through our QA process at the moment, if it continues to show good signs, we'll be setting it live tomorrow. We may again decide to do a small number of servers initially (for a few hours) and then roll it out fully.

We're currently working on an issue occurring on Steam/Epic platforms. We don't expect it will take long to resolve but I'm hesitant to give an ETA until we smoke test the next build. We'll keep you posted as to when we expect to launch Gen 2 on those platforms.
We're also aware that whilst the Playstation network has the update, there are some issues with instability for some players. We're working on resolving that as soon as possible.

Hey Xbox/Win10 folks
Over the last few hours, some certificates were updated which may have affected your ability to connect to Official or Unofficial servers. The good news is, the new certificates have been rolling out to your consoles/computers via Micrsoft's backend so you'll be able to reconnect shortly.
For those of you unable to connect, you can try shutting down your application, and turning off your console (or restarting your computer) for about 10 seconds, then rebooting the console (or computer) and launching the app again.
The certificate update is being pushed out through Microsoft's systems so if you've tried the above and it hasn't worked for you yet, give it a little while and try again as I expect some people will get the new certificates quicker than others (it's kinda like getting a patch, though you won't really notice an "update"). A restart/reboot of your hardware should help flush it and allow ya to receive the new certificates quicker.
Win10 folks could also try opening the "Microsoft Store" and seeing if they have any downloads and updates available for any apps.
Make sure you're fully shutting down the app too, not just putting it on standby. It might take you a few attempts of this, but eventually you should be able to connect. (Could also try a full powerdown on console by shutting it down, unplugging for 10-20 seconds, then plugging it back in and rebooting to launch the game).

Lot of questions about stuff so I'll just write some general notes here:
- Constantly addressing stability (be on the look out for both server and client patches).
- Addressing mesh holes & false-positive anti-mesh deletions/dismounts.
- HEX Store on GEN2 is intended to sell engram points only in GEN2. HEX Rewards are intended to be reduced on GEN1.
- Hunt Missions on console: These won't work on SP/Non Dedicated Mode but we're looking into the possibility of supporting them on the server
- We will be patching Aberration to allow some GEN2 Creatures
- We are investigating an issue with resources not respawning properly on the asteroid field
- We are still continuing to investigate bugs that have emerged since the launch and deal with them as soon as possible. (Missing maewing babies, unable to get explorer notes)
I'll just edit this comment when there's more stuff that comes up. You can see a lot of our already made changes on #patch-notes which will of course be making it to console in the near future.

We're currently investigating an issue with Valve/Steam where the Proton version of the game is unavailable by default for Linux players. We hope to have this resolved as soon as possible, you can still opt-into the native version of the Linux game by switching your ARK to use the beta branch: "linuxnative".
In order to make that switch, here's what you need to do:
- From your Steam games library, right-click on ARK: Survival Evolved and choose Properties.
- From this new window you’ll click on BETAS at the top.
- Here is where you’ll swap between the Linux native version and the live version of the game.
- Choose the beta called linuxnative from the drop down list and then close the Properties window once the window says it has successfully accessed the beta.
- Your Steam client will begin to download the Linux native version of the game.
