how does resource respawning work in singleplayer? My fav metal area hasn't respawned in ages

common issue. no real fix for it what platform are you on #role-assignment

you can try boosting resource respawn speed or using the slomo command. but the node might've been deleted at that point only running the save on a dedi (not non-dedi) can fix it which is only possible on PC

click the run dedi button in the singleplayer menu so it makes the correct folder.
follow the ini guide in the pins to get to the Saved folder thats where all the save folders are.
backup your current singleplayer save and replace the dedi save with the singleplayer save (move ALL the files in there, they are all part of the save)
run the dedi for a while afterwards.
when you move the save back it should allow the nodes to spawn. (I'm unsure if they need to respawn when the dedi is running best to raise the resource respawn speed first)

the way to not let the nodes get deleted in the first place is to let them respawn before leaving.

it just happens on singleplayer. sometimes when the node isn't respawned and you close it, the node gets deleted (sometimes it gets delayed and running slomo fixes it)

btw the resource respawn period, lower is faster.

yeah, singleplayer has spawning issues. sometimes the nodes get deleted. sometimes they just get delayed but a LOT longer.

the ark dev kit might explain 🤷 no idea, never tried looking at it :P

I had problems with stuff spawning though 😄 like, carno spawning behind me on an ice shelf where I was harvesting oil, only to be killed by a mammoth that also spawned at same time

the game seems to have issues though...last time, I got my raft stuck, and trying to unstick it resulted in eventually both raft being destroyed and myself dying 😄

I was trying to teleport it out using console, messed up the coordinates, then tried to tele to it so I could see it and tele it away to proper coords, messed them again and teled it and then myself into that ice arch in the north...

but the raft got stuck really weird....it was all clear, but rudder was sunken into the sand in shallow water

while I wait...how close can I get to Thezi while wearing a ghillie armour? I was thinking of trapping him by actually building a cage around him....

does any1 know why my pc crashes when i try to install ark on it i originally was installing it on steam then it kept crashing when it was downloading so i bought it on epic and it still has the same issue can any1 help me with this plz pm if so :EDIT i had to uninstall the game from steam a couple days back but everytime i uninstall it it always has this same issuse it gets to the verifcation stage before it crashes

on aberration, doesnt matter, aberrant megalos are always awake and night boosted.
however if they dont aggro onto anything, you can freely place a metal billboard trap over them. i recommend a karkinos to do this.
