Since last week’s update, my windows 10 ark has been super buggy. Constant blue screens on transfering. Constant crashing. And for the past 3 days the game isnt able to load sessions for a very long time. I can load official sessions but it takes a while, and unofficial pc sessions wont even load at all. I thought it could be an issue with my wifi possibly, but my speeds are consistant and perfectly fine at 800+ up and down.

As a test i checked if steam ark would load, which it does, almost instantly loading all sessions on any thing i click. So why isnt my windows 10 version working properly? If any help can be given that’d be nice. My tribemates are also having the same issue.

Ive tried Resetting wifi, computer, redownloading, CMD<Netsh Reset. Reset of the game. Logging out xbox gamebar. Changing DNS settings.

If you would like to add a server to your Steam favorites list-

Have your preferred server IP address copied (highlight it and then use CTRL + C to copy it or right click)
-Go to Steam
-Go to View
-Go to Game Servers
-Select the + symbol and paste the IP (either CTRL + V or right click)
-Add IP

There is not an ini config to turn off mating. Just open the wyvern radial wheel ingame and turn off mating.

You cannot disable mating completely unless you have a mod that allows it, like Kraken's Better Dinos.

Hi, i have a problem with joining to a server from elsewhere. Basically i set the server up, and have no problem with joining by lan, and i made a vpn which i can use, to join in from elsewhere. With the vpn i can basically do anything, and i get a local ip, but i cant connect to my server, no matter what i do. (The server ports arent disabled by firewall or anything). Then you likely did it correct. Non-dedicated is extremely wonky and does not like to work, it's really better to have a dedicated or join a server. If you want to do non-dedi, you'll have to just keep trying unfortunately

Good morning. I run an Xbox Ark server. Now I wanted to add the following dinosaurs to the Ragnarok map so that they spawn there normally.

• Deinonychus
• Rhyniognatha

I've spent hours now looking at Game.ini entries and trying it but it won't work. Can someone help me with the codes to insert the two dinosaurs?

deinos can't really be added on consoles, they require nest locations for taming which you can't add without mods.
Rhynio should work if you get the entry right never tried messing with dino spawns.

I'm very furious about this exclusivity for Nitrado. Team Wildcard, you don't care about thousand of servers and communities who work and make live Ark on other partners.I don't think you'll recash the euros that we have on those partners.

I hope it is only for Ascended, like this you make me save 40€.

Have you ever played on Nitrado servers ? I'll try plenty of host and Nitrado was the worst of them. Their mod management is bad (you must restart each time your servers for each mods you put). When you have problems the only answer for their "technicians" like you said in you message is : the problem should came from mod, desactive them. They never look for another problem and they don't care.

does anybody know about a good torpor mod? not an OP one, but with a 755.3% longneck rifle I only do about 2.5-3k torpor per shot, which, yeah, its a lot for vanilla, but a lot of the dinos from mods im using have over 50k torpor, 1 ive seens has 1.5 million torpor

I dont want an easy, OP, mod, I want one where I actually have to get mats to make the stuff and then i have good stuff, like how for shocking tranq darts i get all the jellyfish and metal and gunpowder, and I have a fabricator, ykwim

@royal saddle @young minnow you do it by preventing the tame of that dino no it doesn't fully get rid of eggs but prevents anyone from being able to tame them or you stop spawn completely I misread what you have said last night only way to fully remove the spawn of the eggs would be to place a foundation or something in nest location blocking its spawn

I found a semi work around for floating bases

You can summon in platforms in place of your character make sure you have ghost and fly on then cheat givetome and you can build in the air getting ready to try to summon foundations see if that work

You have a few options. 

If you have a server with 16slots+ then you can use the game switch to change to the ASE Official Save Game Server. (When it's available in the list)

If you have a server with fewer than 16 slots, you van upgrade your existing server and then use the game switch functionality.

Or of course if you want to keep your existing server also running in parallel, you can purchase an additional server. (If your likely to choose this option, I would pre-order and use the code SAVEYOURARK for 20% off, Xbox can't be pre-order unfortunately.)

Had anyone run into an issue where the game thinks you're at max level well be low the limit you set. I have my server set at 180 levels (150 prior to ascension), I also have the OverrideMaxExperiencePointsPlayer=51877371 under my level overrides. I've removed pretty much all my mods except fortrusted mods I've used a bunch of times before without issue like S+/, dino storage. I'm stuck at 1.2 million EXP and I can't access any higher level despite having everything set like I had it set before when it was working. No matter what I do the game disregards my EXP override and just hangs at 1.2M.

Unless you are waiting longer than say 30 seconds per item uploading, this is expected. Character transfers take several minutes. You are moving items/characters from one map/server to another. Its not a fast process. The obelisk is a separate entity from the maps, so jumping around or moving items takes time.

We are looking for a way to play in a small server but dont want to lose everything again. We want to set up a private server for ourselves but are a bit lost since we are on Xbox and I heard that Nitrado is horrible. Can we pay for a PC server and still play it on Xbox? If no what recomendations does anyone have for a chill experience where we can play together

TakeAllDino
This command will forcefully make your tribe the owner of all dinos that belong to the tribe of the entity/structure your crosshair is over.

TakeAllStructure
This command will forcefully make your tribe the owner of all structures that belong to the tribe of the entity/structure your crosshair is over.

TakeTribe
This admin command will transfer all of the dinosaurs and structures of the tribe with the specified ID to you.

You must first create a tribe before using the command above, or else you wil not keep the dinos from the tribe your taking

TransferImprints
This console command transfers all of a player's imprinted dinos to another player - i.e. all dinos that are imprinted to player A will become imprinted on player B instead. MaxAscend
This console command unlocks the Alpha Rockwell and Alpha Overseer Ascensions for the player with the specified player ID. i Have a problem playing on non dedicated with my friend. I have a bad internet cable, and everytime it disconects i get kicked, but after i try to join again after fixing my cable it just says "lost connection due to host" and i cant join him again for hours, even do i try to restart my computer and he restarts his ark. Games arent on cartridges that you have to blow in anymore. Reinstalling/restarting will rarely fix anything.

Be better off restarting your router, or trying cloudflare dns. Overall though your internet backbone must be strong enough to maintain a connection to battle eye servers and the game server simultaneously

Hi everyone! Question please, I tried to set up a non dedicated version of our server for me and a friend to play. with new saves. It is there I send a invite but she times out before she can join. Yes this is a common issue with steam non dedicated. You can try things like restarting your router if your the host, or basically just spamming join.

If your using mods make sure they have the mods installed AND subscribed to before trying to enter.

If either of you are on steam then no mods can be used

Are the tribe management settings set to personally owned? You can try changing them to personal and then tribe owned again and see if that fixes.
If not, maybe give the password to your friend and have them use the commands to take the structures, and then just change the password?

You could just join their tribe, then do cheat givetome on the structures you want them to have. That will put them in their tribe. Alot of work but you wont have to give away the admin password.

as far as before uploading it. They don't support FTP for now. They took that away. Said something about the devs not wanting FTP for now. By Jittery in Single player it freezes up, unfreezes for a sec then freezes again. Thats what I mean by jittery.

but even on my actual hosting company I use BisectHosting and upgraded the ram to 24gbs and tried to start it up and I keep getting an error for TheLostIsland but the map is Gen2

Ye lost island is the engine directory. All errors originate from there. If you check the pins in general it mentions launch options that should help with single player.

If its a host issue youd have to get with them and see whats going on. I can say server saves do work at nitrado

oh i got it, i got on to see if my admin was doing something wrong, i shot the tp i had set up and placed a new one and it worked, now just to figure out how to make players immune from damage without messing up the stats they have on the other maps cause this map im setting up for admin shop and stuff and its set so the builds cant be damaged, cant craft, cant get drops and no dinos, but i also dont want them to kill each other while here shoping or getting starters or especially kill the one picking up donation packs lol

Ive been trying to troubleshoot my unofficial servers as they do not appear on my browser list, and if i try to connect, the error code "unable to get query port for invite".
I run and play on the same machine. Though it may have something to do with them being SteamCMD batch file servers. Anyone got ideas?

While you are connecting through your local network you would use the internal ip while others will use your external ip. Also make sure you have ports forwarded and firewall exceptions in your router and your windows firewall as needed

im afraid the error is not coming from the firewalls or the wrong ports being forwarded.

reposting here from #bobs-with-probs see TL;DR for short story....logged in the other night and my megatherium and wooly rhino mutation farm had birthed like 40 megatherium and wooly rhinos and like half of them had grown to full maturity with as unclaimed red text mofos. same with raptor eggs in my metal/element farm. this should not have happened. realized at the time that i unpodded a crap ton of rexes and theris with no regard to cryo sickness to review the boss killers i had, then logged off and maybe it caused a bug, but idk that doesnt make sense. anyone run into a similar problem before? it caused some lags so id like to know how i triggered it and im scared to turn on my live birthers again lol. TL;DR how did unclaimed dinos grow to maturity

Ummm idk what it being ASUS would matter. Unless you already did port forwarding its not gonna come pre set up. Same with firewalls. These are things all server owners must do. Having a specific brand isnt going to change this. And yes it could also be an issue with spectrum.

This error is generally associated with slow loadin times. Generally because your server is running mods and the player dosent have them downloaded beforehand. Pre installing the mods is the solution.

If tour getting this error on a vanilla server your internet speed may be insufficient to host and play

You are already able to run events on ASE for PC. You can manually add items to drops and such via ini file, or if you're on Steam you can use mods.

If when your able to join and the ping is stuck at 255 that’s most likely doss…but if it’s just bouncing high ping and crashing it could be other things as well like if you have alot of mods or crazy boosted settings..things like mass breeding causes server issues too

For a moment I thought maybe you could just cluster two together and then cluster scorched earth to the next one, however there is only one entry available for cluster
