The wiki is a bit confusing for someone who hasnt been to the trench yet, so allow me to ask: Can I go down to the nests with my spino and get out again? Or does the trench require special climbing equipment to get out? I got cryopods, so I could cryo it, but if I have to take a special route or something, I gotta know. And I dont watch Videos of "how to get there" because I wanna see the situation with my own char for the first time. My question is more like "What else should I absolutely take with me?"

I would recommend taking either a high durability climbing pick or a few climbing picks with you. Getting back out on a spino is going to suck.

the only use for batteries is in pvp, if you want to put down a heavy turret "mid fight" kinda
in pve they re totally useless, because they drain really quickly.

whats an efficient way to transport materials such as rock, wood, and metal ore? Ive mined all the river rocks near me and the normal rocks, so it takes pretty long to get a stack of stone to my base, despite having 250 weight. What dinos or methods would be good for getting more materials? Should I make a new base?

especially since im getting to the point where im gonna need 100 or so metal ore at a time - I cant imagine this is very efficient

Gasbags can carry the most but... I wouldn't call them fast.

Or more of a cheese would be a fjordhawk. It returns your bag to you when you die. So you'd fill your inventory up, eat a poly, and spawn back at base and your hawk will bring your bag

Probably more common would be using an argie/ankie combo

Eh arrows deal a bit of hp damage. So if your taming something with low HP like... Idk a microraptor you might kill it before knocking it out. Darts don't deal hardly any hp damage

A lot of ammo is only for one or two types of guns. Tranq darts are for longneck rifles ONLY. If you have a pump gun, flare gun etc. Youre out of luck

I have another question: The lore order of the maps according to the story is island, scorched earth, aberration, extinction, gen 1 and Gen 2, right? However, when beating extinction, your implant is removed and when beating Gen 1, you get another implant. Shouldnt extinction be played last, then? I think it makes more sense to go from aberration to Gen 1, Gen 2 and then extinction. Or maybe they want us to play gen 1 with a new char? That doesnt reflect the gameplay however, since a lot of stuff in gen 1 and 2 relies on a character with access to tek stuff from other bosses

I got a problem: Spinos can not only get over 2 walls high, they can get over 5 or 6 walls high when aggro since they can just stand up. The traps I found simply wont work. Just how do I trap this thing without 60 walls vertically?

Well, I have to admit I used the infinitestats cheat when I ran into an alpha karki and got grabbed and I desperately used fly to check out the red zone for red gems. But I dont spawn dinos in and I never forcetame. Same for items. I am thinking about spawning in the other manticore skins though. I won at alpha and only got the leggins. Shouldnt I get all of them? But since Ark is a bloody mess, I dont dare to challenge the manticore on gamma or beta. My game might crash because of that.

hey guys i got an inventory bug i didnt knew i had.... saw a video where a guy transfers for example all "raw meat" by writing it on the search in the right inventory and then he presses the 2 arrows right next to the search bar and only raw meat goes to the other inventory...
When i do that my search bar only resets and no transfer happens at all.

I will answer that based on my own experience, because I never found any official info regarding that. The layed eggs levels don't have a direct relation to the wild creatures on the nests.

They might be, but based on my own experience, I would say they are not. I just checked again the wiki and couldn't find anything about that.

Some people say if you kill all lower levels wyverns, keep the higher levels and collect all the eggs, leave the area (derender it), when you go back to the nests you will find higher level eggs. But that's not my own experience.

So I’m trying to copy syntac’s ark cluster settings to my single player game (game.ini and game user settings.ini) but every time I load the game it automatically changes and sometimes even removes lines of code e.g. the harvest amount is changed and it doesn’t even apply in game still 1x I did try to make the file read only but that still doesn’t work, the line harvest health multiplier just automatically deletes itself

Im having major wild dino level issues on my island single player. I went into my user settings and did all that making the max level 180 but all i find are level 4-76 dinosaurs and ive done countless wipes and still i get level 8 yutyrannus and level 16 rexes. its greatly hindering my ability to simply play the game as finding good levels is near impossible. i have reset my save a few times and the levels seem to get worse each time and i just dont know what to do

Ark has historical issues with naming and placement of files that make it kind of tough to interpret what crashes mean just by the folder names lol

Step 1: Make a copy of your savefile, this can be done by duplicating (copy and paste in a DIFFERENT LOCATION) the folder in:

Step 2: Remove the savefile and see if the map loads

Step 3: If it does, restore to an older backup of the savefile. (As a general rule of thumb, always make a backup of your save atleast once every 3 days, so in case of an issue, loss of progress is minimal)

Step 4: If it does not, verify files by:

1. Stop the game, if running
2. Right clicking the game in Steam library
3. From the drop down, select properties…
4. Select local files and then verify integrity of game files

Epic Games:

1. Stop the game, if running
2. Select the game to verify in Epic Games library
3. Click the 3 dots under the game image
4. Select manage and then verify

Step 4.5 (Steam only): Unsubscribe and resubscribe to all mods. This can be done by:

Octree is an old error, I had some success with reinstalling the map when I had it

But I’ve seen cases where that didn’t fix

And a complete reinstall had to be done

I had to drop auto engrams and select on gportal to Auto Unlock engrams in the server settings

So RHI is a graphic card oriented issue. You mentioned earlier checking for updates but, make sure that the gpu has the latest driver. You may also try some of the launch options on steam to lower CPU usage

CAN ANYONE HELP: whenever i try to join any server being official or unofficial i keep getting "connection failure you have been kicked by battleye reason client not responding" and after i wait a couple minutes it goes to another error "joining failed connection timeout", i have tried resetting router, deleting battleye, verifying game integrity multiple times and adding the various battleye files to be allowed past the firewall but nothing works, the only thing similar to this that i could find online was a problem where there were too many mods and it just downloaded them in the background of the error message then it worked, but i am not trying to download any mods i can even join official.
