You didn't need to add them as they are already a vanilla spawn. They share giga spawns.

Spawn rates are so weird. It’s hard to tell without testing things like 100 times. Numbers below .001 also seem to be ignored, just an fyi if you try to lower it too much. Might wanna try a different spawn location and see whats happens.

anyone got issues on unofficial servers with their engrams disappearing? they just go poof from the characters on our cluster, with some reports of them reappearing after a server restart.
we have removed all but a few vanilla engrams and only use S+ engrams and mod engrams.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on why we are having this issue

so atm we have been testing nitrado ban seams only bans them from the one map but then they can log on to another map on the cluster anybody know a way to ban them of entire cluster not just 1 map at a time ..dont need it right now just testing it for when we do need it??

Sadly you can not mass ban them. So you have to do it the way you are doing it now

On steam you can mass ban people but consoles are stuck with your issue

I am not sure of this plugin so I can not comment on that but I can comment on the first two.

So bAutoUnlockAllEngrams=true & the mod do the same thing but the mods does it a bit better.

bAutoUnlockAllEngrams=true will

• Unlocked all engrams as you level up
• Unlocks all engrams regardless of the map
• Will unlock all Tekgrams at level 1

Cons

• cause lag if you put to many points in at once as it will spam your screen saying you unlocked X engrams
• Some mods engrams won't auto unlock (Happens with mods that have been outdated for years)

Auto engram mod, has all the pros and non of the con's. Furthermore you can edit the mod to make it where Tekgrams do not unlock at level 1.

I had trouble on my gaming rig, anytime I opened a resource drop, or aTek Transmitter, or Obolisk inventory my session would lose it's connection and drop.

This was blamed on Kaspersky anti virus when I put in a trouble ticket with Wildcard.

So I'm trying to upload now, using a different computer, without Kaspersky. Part way into uploading stuff from my base I dropped my connection.

Now on that laptop any time I open the upload terminal I lose my connection again, just like on my main computer

Hey all, I've got a weird one here. Fully vanilla server. I'm trying to reach the maximum domesticated levels on a dino - which according to all research should be 73 added levels on non X dinos.
However, I've just pumped the 74th level and I'm utterly confused. Did I mess with a setting I didn't know I messed with?

depends on the base spot...and 2 turrets sounds more like a small base while 50 turrets sounds like it'll be more visible...+ if you build near a base spot where a content creator just recently build, its most likely be scouted more often to check for copycats

In my experience, I have been unable to make a cluster using 2 xboxes. Was only able to get that going with a paid provider.

I'm getting some kind of mod-mismatch between my server and my client using ark server manager. I updated the mods before starting the server, but when I try to join the server it's telling me to make sure the server is running the latest version of the mods

some mods will say latest version but even the latest version of that mod will be incompatible with Ark itself if the mod was discontinued, id go through your mods and see if any of them has been discontinued and when it was.

If you've got 20+ mods and half are around 3gb each, you're going to load slow no matter what.

If you have Dino Storage V2, you can also see the Drag weight when the dino is soul-podded. Tames over a certain drag weight are not allowed in Arena Boss Fights.
Open world fights, like those on Extinction, don't have drag weight restrictions (that I can remember, anyways)

The Boss Arenas section of the Wiki (dot gg) has a detailed list of what tames can enter which boss fights 🙂

Uh I’m running just eco mods, s+ and marnii hair, and old fliers. I have flown over the ice wyvern trench in lost island and there is (no joke) about 40 wyverns

Has anyone been able to get the ActiveEventColors flag working lately? I've tried:

• Adding ActiveEventColors=Easter (or vday, as I seem to recall vday working for me in February) in the GUS.ini file under [ServerSettings] header
• Adding -ActiveEventColors=Easter (or vday) to the launch command
• Also adding EventColorsChanceOverride=1 to the GUS.ini file under [ServerSettings]
• All while leaving ActiveEvent= as blank and also testing it as ActiveEvent=none

I did all of these in both Singleplayer and on a test server. But I can't get event colors to spawn in either case. The only way I've been able to accomplish getting colors to spawn is by setting ActiveEvent command which seems to defeat the purpose of the ActiveEventColors command.

Any ideas?

afaik, its because non-clustered servers (and non-dedi) have issues with sharing uploads. so a cryopod won't transfer all the information. it also happens with eggs and gacha crystals.

You can not create them on the site no, if you have access to a computer. There is a program called beacon and will allow you to create the code and then you can copy and paste it to your server

1. can anyone walk me through the process of what should be stored in my server Game.ini, and GameUserSettings.ini?
   every tutorial seems to mix freely between the two for various settings. and i've gotten it to work for most settings besides the following:
   max players per tribe(5), max number of alliances(5), max number of tribes per alliance(12), max player level(see question 2), max dino level(see question 3)
   i see the headers such as {server settings] and some scripts located in [] i believe this may be my issue for these settings? or syntex. i am fresh installing ubuntu 22.04 on a dedicated server and going to try to restart this again. i was using linuxgsm, but contemplating on using another program instead.

2. going for lvl 44 base level without chibi+boss+note, but i need +5 for chibi to work. i see in my research that i use a level/xp table, and reserve 75 levels for chibi,bossfights (not going on server). is this correct?

3. i want lvl 30 max dinos(36 for tek) and +30 levels available to earn for these dinos, can someone help me implement this?

4. i need to modify the drop table for dodo's on my server. i want them to have a semi rare chance of dropping chibis for players to use, instead of requiring them to purchases genesis on a island only server.

for where the settings should go check https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Server_configuration find the setting and scroll up to see if its game.ini or gameusersettings.

for the player level its 100 extra levels now. 75 gained by defeating end-game bosses, 10 gained from collecting all Explorer Notes on every map, 5 acquired by levelling up a Chibi (a cosmetic event pet), and a total of 10 levels for collecting all Fjordur Runes.

for the dino levels, override the difficulty to 1 (guide in pins) and then change the tamed levels like player levels but no extra ones.

for drops I suggest using beacon drops should be under the free part.

actually just checked they don't list dinos that don't already have drop tables like alphas so dodos won't show.

this is under level 100 for players, they say before this 100 levels reserved, same as you said. so would this not allow you to level normally? or if i bring it to ExperiencePointsForLevel[44], would this let you level to lvl 44, and get the +5 from the chibi(and prevent the other levels due to not being able to do boss fights, or transfer outside the island map) or should i set it to ExperiencePointsForLevel[144]?

i think i understand the dino level, i will go up to ExperiencePointsForLevel[30] this will allow us to level any dinosaur 30 levels from its tamed level correct?

will changing the difficulty to 1 adjust the loot tables/quality of loot from the dinos and other drops such as supply drops/fishing? on official beginner server, normally the best loot you can get from caves are 130% weapons, and 42ish armor.

and for the dodo, you're saying theres no way to add a item to it, since the dodo doesn't have a loot table to begin with? is there a way to append a loot table to the dodo? or should i look into something simple with a loot table like a white/green drop to add it to?

Can just copy and paste them. Click "export" and you should be able to copy them one at a time.

the last 100 levels are reserved for the different extra level methods, so you'll always need 100 extra levels or it'll be off (examples you find may be from before as the extra levels were added over time) for a max player level of 44, you'd want to go to 143 as it starts at 0 and you need the extra 100 levels. that should be right anyway.

the dino levels should be right, the second experiencePointsforLevel will change dinos.

difficulty does change drops I believe, not sure if you can go around that by leaving difficulty at 5 (or whatever) and instead changing offset. I am unsure how those interact. can also just boost loot quality itself as thats also a setting.

afaik dinos that don't already have a drop table require mods to edit, as for how one would do that I'm also unsure on.
most dinos use generic dino containers which effect a lot of them. some like alphas or big carnivores that drop other items can be edited.

drops are part of the free beacon, once you make the drops do file > Export. then copy paste the settings you edited. drops will be "ConfigOverrideSupplyCrateItems=..." in game.ini

We’re you on the world for the whole day? Even on official settings it shouldn’t take more than a hour. Since it’s a private server, every time host leaves the game the server freezes in time till he gets back on.

Hello everyone hope all is well. I had a nitrado server question about aberration if someone might have a minute to help me out?

Situation: Me and a couple friends were doing a conquer the ark run with a relatively new player where we go in order from the island to gen 2
We are currently on scorched and we’ve been taking a personal tame from each map along with a couple breeders.
Question is:
If I set flyers off and disallow foreign Dino’s for aberration when we switch to it will it just not allow them to be thrown out of the pods or will they be deleted from the pods?

Greetings, folks. Has anyone seen any recent issues in the past month or so with downloading mods from the workshop using steamcmd on Linux? I'm getting an error when it tries downloading mods:

It looks like it is downloading it into the downloads folder, along with a .patch file, but doesn't finish processing and moving it to the content folder. Unfortunately, the helpful(?) error doesn't explain what happened, and the stderr log has nothing about it (just a bunch of 'Installing breakpad exception handler for appid(steamcmd)' lines).

OK. Looks like the standard steamcmd bugsplatter. Clearing the workshop directory when it errors out seems to get it working again for a bit. Fortunately, I am moving the completed mods using AMD to the game mods folder after each one, so if it completes without an error, I can blow away the workshop dir the next time it errors out.

So, yeah, if anyone is seeing workshop download item weirdness like this, definitely try clearing the workshop dir (back it up if you want to keep anything first, of course).

Ok so my issue is I’ve got 4 maps, on my first map the island my stats for dinos are all the way I want, when I put the exact same values in to my other 3 servers being gen 2, fjordur and extinction, the dino stats seem to not be the same so health stat is decreasing on those maps for instance. Also when I go to place a smithy or anything on the other maps it is saying it is being obstructed when I go to place it to near a wall, any help with these will be greatly appreciated

I logged on this morning and my entire settings were gone and when I joined my modded map (caballus) my world and character was gone I went through a lot of videos and figured out how to reroll the world back but now when I rollback the world it ask me to create a new character. I spent like 30 hours on that world, around 2 weeks sometimes just relaxing watching youtube but still, now Im supposed to lose my character because of an ark update? Is there any way to fix this and rollback the map and the character, my friends character was perfectly fine so I have no clue why mine wasn't, and if there really is know way to solve this then how can I make sure this doesnt happen again, I know steam has a backup process but I don't have room for 300 gigabytes, i think I know how to backup an ark backup but I don't know how to create one myself same for character backup

I'm playing on a locally hosted server with ark server manager, so it's the same as online, I'm just noticing that some dinos have a really big range, while others are quite small. Like andrewsarchus I have them stacked 3 rows of 5 wide, 2 high walls for each level, male in the middle, no problem. Got some homotherium in another part, and I'm sure one was within the same distance and it wasn't showing up as mating. So I'd love to see some visual range on each one so that I could plan some kind of pen.

as long as you are both on steam, it should work. make sure you both sub to the mods before trying to join. too many mods could make it too long to join causing it to stop tho.

Hi, trying to play non-dedicated session with a friend. We have been playing reasonably flawlessly for a couple weeks. I added a couple QoL Mods last night, and now hes having issues joining the server. Server time out errors. He is able to join for a bit, then gets kicked. We have checked Mod versions etc. Any ideas?

Both client and server have to have the same mods. So have him unsub/resub to your mod list to make sure they are synced

But you say he's able to join but gets kicked after a bit from the server?

Would be looking at your server sfps using setcheatplayer true to see if your dropping frames or watching ping in the esc menu. Maybe something is causing the server to hang and DC players.

1st Steam account can join server fine, loads all mods correctly.

Log out, swap to 2nd steam account.

2nd Steam account gets Mod Mismatch (even after subscribing to all the mods)

Log out, Swap back to 1st steam account, joins server fine.

Official maps are approved and backed by wildcard and available in the in game list. Mod maps are created and supported by the community and downloaded through steam

Anyone know why egg hatch settings wouldn't be working on PC? No matter what I set the settings at, these rex eggs will not go faster than 5 hours. The only way I got it to change was putting im a ridiculous number and they insta hatched. Making normal changes had no effect. Going from 15 to 25, no change, 25 to 50 no change, 200 no change, 600 no change, 850 no change. Also, the time between mating will not change either. I do not have this issue on my playstation cluster, is this a PC thing?

Can anyone familiar with PC / steam tell me why no matter what I do, I cannot alter the egg hatch timer or time between mating? I am setting up a PC cluster after running a PS4 cluster for 4 years. I am familiar with settings and what they do. I am using lv 450 rexes, the egg hatch stays at 5 hours no matter what I do, I started at 25 for the speed and wound up all the way to 850 for speed and no change to the 5 hours for the egg hatch. I have tried it with and without the mods I am using and on a different map. Is this a PC thing? I do not have this issue on my playstation clusters. Thanks

There is a setting that turns off dino downloads only. Leaving character downloads still available. I recommend also turning off item downloads as well. Tell your players to transfer naked only.
