makes a memory blackhole that often only materializes when someone tries to log in there

Has anyone run into an issue whereby skins quit showing up entirely? I’m on official PVE. I’ve flown to nearby bases that previously showed as fully skinned, now they’re just default stone/metal. My own custom cosmetics are gone from my menu despite showing as installed in the mods page via main menu. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled all of them, restarted the game a bunch of times, killed myself, rebooted my computer, and gone to different servers. The only way my custom and unlocked cosmetics are showing is in a new single player game.

Yes for servers, custom cosmetics don’t need to be applied to the server, so non-server owners can use skins. I think the same might be the case for single player as in you can just have custom cosmetics separately

Consistently having the worst unreal engine errors of my life with this 50 50 bug. After 6 hours of running and no one on someone hopped in to 1,000’s of duplicated tames in 50,50. Causing corrupted data, Nitrado can’t help, it’s been a known issue since ASE and the server doesn’t support the 5050 mod because it’s not a cross play mod. Is it even possible to run a cluster with this kind of issue?? Progression keeps getting lost, the data is always corrupted due to it, the map restores to a corrupted back up whenever it resets and there’s no older back ups

That is how my family and I played for many years on ASE. I would create a non-dedicated map and add the split screen on one ps4 and then on the other ps4, would join the non-dedicated map and add a split screen adding up to 4 players on two ps4s. Is that not possible with ASA?

that sounds like sheer insanity and outright impossible, since in splitscreen, there are not two accounts. there is no way to connect to a server without an account

it would also probably crash the host on the spot due to the excessive memory usage

well, technically the game could allow connection, but there would be no sane way to save character data reliably, mods would all have strokes, ect

the game also has no way to correctly handle networking in splitscreen, since it is per-session/player

a lot of stuff would get really cursed 🤔

splitscreen was originally not going to be in ASA, seems like it was tacked on as a "sure, use it at your own risk". it is really not fully functional

That seems a little backwards to me that I could run ASE non-dedicated map between two PS4s with 4 players but on a more powerful machine, PS5, with ASA being remastered on Unreal Engine 5 it will only allow 3 players between two ps5s? it should really not allow 3, even. or maybe it can sort of work if the "extra" player is on the host

ASA's system requirements are massively higher than ASE, though, and the PS5's hardware is not proportionately that much better where it matters

normal splitscreen, players are just "player 1" and "player 2", same account, same session, sharing DLCs and whatnot. and any mod related to user accounts probably wont work.

online, each player really needs to have a unique account and session, or there is no way to identify them

I hatched two "wild" Deinonychus eggs, both at 140. I have two mods that show the same points in stats.
The stats are this; 1st = HP 33points - 1521.8hp....... 2nd = HP 29points - 1905.8.
Not all stats are like this some are the same and some are weird, like this when the lower point number is more in the actual stats itself.
I have not put in any manual stat (lvl them up) myself.
I dont understand what is wrong and how this works. Have there been a stat update or something that have changed?

I have been struggling with an issue since a few weeks ago. TBH I don't remeber exactly when it started - I have a tbi that goofs up my memory and I didn't write it down /facepalm. What has been happening is my charater is getting lost when I log off the game. The next day I come back and it is gone. I'm not sure if it is something to do with my cluster on my pc or what. I have run updates on all the servers and the game is up to date. The only workaround I have found it I need to learn an engrame and then the .arkprofile seems to save after I log off. If I don't learn an engram - pretty good chance my charater is gone. Thankfully I run a backup on my server drives and i was able to find a .arkprofile for my charater and have it saved into a special folder not with a script to copy the file into my server folder when i come to find it didn't dave after the last logout- this seems odd. any thoughts?

Anyone know how to get the lighting looking good? Lumen looks gross on my PC. Even when I set everything to epic settings. I don't have a good rig to begin with but still. I have tried everything. Its looked bad since the update. Lumen just pops in one or two seconds AFTER looking in a direction.

So if I look to my right it will be dark and then lumen just pops in after a second. And it doesn't look good. The lighting is awful 😬

I initially crash about 15 seconds after loading on to the map. But I found that if I kill my character right as I load in, I can play. But if I use an obelisk, transmitter or drop it'll start flashing "refreshing Ark Inventory" and crash me.

After killing dodorex I returned to my base half a map away from the battle and by chance I saw zomdodo’s fight mousers so I started claiming them. I have since logged off and when I logged back on I can no longer claim wild ones. Still have the 10 or so I claimed previously. Nothing special about them. They are all male. I will try breeding with a regular dodo when I get around to it.

yeah there's a bug at the moment on console and PC where part of the update files aren't being installed. on PC it's an easy fix on PlayStation I had to completely reinstall

So what i have is the yuty roar, deinotherium rally call, imprint bonus (30% dmg and dmg resist), titan slayer boost (50% dmg and dmg resist), 70 armor bc of saddle, winter drakeling 10% dmg resist buff, about 50 veggie cakes in dreadnoughtus inv, 297k base hp, and maybe like one or two more things

I reinstalled my game on ps5 and saw servers again. Deleted saved game (saved to cloud before I did) info to be able to reinstall mods. Everything seemed to work, other then keep timing out logging into my home dedicated server. Downloaded save info now can't see any servers again...ugh so much for paying some games while on vacation

Hey everyone,

I really need some help or advice with a PS5 issue in ARK: Survival Ascended.

Every time I try to join a private server with mods, I get the message:
“Please uninstall mods to free up space” or “0 Bytes available”,
even though my mod list is completely empty.

Here’s what I’ve already tried (multiple times):
– Fully uninstalled and reinstalled the game
– Cleared cache and rebuilt the PS5 database in Safe Mode
– Checked for saved/add-on data (none found)
– Factory reset my PS5 (!!)
– Reinstalled ARK from scratch

The error still shows up, and I can’t join any modded servers.
This even happens on a brand-new reset console, so it doesn’t seem to be a local storage problem.

I’m starting to think it’s a server-side or account-linked issue — maybe some hidden mod data or corrupted mod ID that’s stuck somewhere on Wildcard’s end.

Has anyone else run into this “0 Bytes Available” bug on PS5?
Did you manage to fix it somehow, or is there an official response from Wildcard?

Any help, tips, or confirmation that I’m not the only one dealing with this would be super appreciated 🙏

Yes it’s something like cheat giveexperience 10000 0 0 or something but I can’t remember which way round the numbers go. Also one of the numbers are based on if you’re on a mount I think? There is definitely one but Google will be able to tell you the right one

My tribemate on PS5 is having the same issue but ASA data is not showing in his cloud data so he's not able to delete it, what steps did you take to delete it on PS5?

Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data then download or delete from cloud storage. You have to switch over from download to delete then check ark and delete.

Auto install when trying to join server gives the no space error, manual install attempt same, prompts him to delete older mods, but no mods installed
