In commemoration of a sweet, kind and funny ARK PvP streamer with some epic dance moves, we've added a RIP Uri emote to the official ARK Discord server which we'll keep here in memory of him. Uri was someone who didn't allow his own adversities in life dull the good natured light he shone and with that, he was one of the few special PvP streamers everyone loved irrespective of tribe or affiliation.
We are putting a memorial together for the Community Crunch as a gesture towards a lovely member of the ARK community who will be greatly missed

Hey Xbox Survivors,
Over the last few days we've been working with Microsoft on resolving the authentication exploit impacting our official Xbox network. We've currently got a fix in progress and are aiming to roll that out later this week.
Due to the impact that this has had on our network and to mitigate further exploitation we will be taking the Official Xbox/Windows Store network down temporarily to protect our players progress. We understand this is inconvenient but see it as necessary to prevent further loss. The downtime should last until our client patch can be rolled out which we are targeting for Friday.
Due to the high number of servers impacted on all networks (PvP, PvE, Smalls, etc), we will also be conducting a service-wide roll back of our saves to approximately Monday the 19th of September in order to undo any damage caused by these exploits.
A small minority of servers affected earlier will have their saves rolled back prior to Monday but we expect those to be minimal.
We apologize for the disruption to our Official Network and any inconvenience this has caused. We'll continue to update you with more information as it arises and look forward to restoring our network by the end of the week.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding throughout this time, as well as the diligent reports on those exploits.

'Happy New Year!' event is now enabled on Official Servers. The event is set to go off at <t:1672549200:T> and <t:1672592400:f>. Servers running the event will be bombarded with raining gifts in a hail of fireworks to mark the end of 2022. These gifts will contain a collection of your favorite skins from past events that are currently unavailable and a chibi bonanza! And by bonanza, we mean, the drop rate of Rare, Very Rare, and Legendary chibis will be dialed to over 9000!
Unofficial Servers can enable the event with the following commandline param: -NewYearEvent
To modify the times, the following commandline parameters can also be used:
?NewYear1UTC=1672560000
?NewYear2UTC=1672603200
You can use https://www.epochconverter.com/ to get your appropriate timestamp.
Some additional notes:
This event can only be run ONCE on a savefile (with 2 triggers).
If a server is set to run the event at a time already passed, then on load the server will immediately trigger the gifts.
If a custom time isn't set, then the event will run default at <t:1672549200:T> and <t:1672592400:f>.

Okay so here's what will happen in regards to the NYE drops:
The next will occur at 12:00 PM EST on January 1st as planned then we will run an extra one at 12:00 AM EST Jan 2nd to compensate for this recently borked NYE event (so a full 24 hours after the initial drop). We figure that timing should help the majority. We will also bump up the weighting towards rarest for some mega bumper loot on both upcoming drops

PC: A command line has been added to give unofficial server admins/owners the option to run it on their servers (add -SecureSendArKPayload to the cmd line). Please check full patch notes in #patch-notes (you will need the pc role to view that channel)

Official Server saves are back online!
In the previous save files, a number of steam numeric ID's along with associated IP addresses were in the initial server saves. We've corrected the issue and reuploaded the save files with the information removed along with taking steps to secure player's data. We apologize for the mistake and will improve our methods in the future to avoid these problems from occurring again.

We've taken down the Official Network as we've identified an exploit that has allowed players to get admin powers. We're working on a fix for this now, among some other issues (crashes) and we'll be rolling out a server update to resolve both of these. **LiveOps Update! **We've just launched more official servers for PVP, PVE, and SmallTribes in EU & NA.
We're still investigating some start up crashes on some servers and an issue where a server locks and fails to recover without our intervention, hoping to get resolutions ASAP.
The Session Filter currently only lists 200 servers at a time, but when you refresh you'll see a different set and the search bar filters through all servers so you can use it to find your server

We are continuing work on server stability in regards to memory -- tonight's deployment yielded 80% reduction in out-of-memory issues 😅
What does this mean for players? You'll immediately experience more "playability" and far longer uptime -- approximately 4x to 5x -- before memory causes issues on servers.
We will continue to focus on this heavily throughout this week to resolve ~100% of the remaining up-time issues. Thank you for your patience as we shake out these immediate-post-launch crinkles, we're getting there!

Hey, just a quick holiday period LiveOps update:
I see player's feedback regarding joining issues, full servers, and requests for more official servers so let's touch on those:
We have a connection issue we're working through at the moment, you might have seen it previously display an error with 'unet' in the title and a bunch of server info. We're hoping to get a client solution for this out soon
The client server list is currently not always updating server population. What does this mean for you? You may be attempting to join a full server that displays at, say, 64/70 and try to join. We're working on addressing it
Did you add a queue system? Nah it's not a queue, it's just something that allows you to attempt to auto reconnect to a server. Useful if the server you're playing on is full. It's as random as attempting to join manually yourself, except we're trying to save you the clicks. You can still join manually if you choose.
Will we get more Official servers? Mhmm, we'll roll more out through the week as we work through LiveOps issues and assess stability and demand
ofc, we are working on a swathe of other things, including Playstation, and will continue to do so. This is just addressing LiveOps and some of the immediate issues/concerns I see out there today

Xbox and Windows builds currently have a bug where they default with Xbox Multiplayer Only enabled and you can't uncheck it unless you leave the session list and enter a second time.
So to get around a bug where you aren't seeing servers on Xbox, exit out of the Join Session list, re-enter it and then disable the "Xbox-Only Multiplayer" button. Be sure to hit refresh!

For those who didn't see in #735188572688089229, the most recent client update removed the button to manually save single player and non-dedicated sessions -- we're investigating an issue where the game wasn't saving properly and it may have been related to this, so we've temporarily removed it to see if it helps alleviate the problem while we continue to investigate.
These game modes will still auto-save overtime and can also be force-saved with the cheat command "cheat saveworld" via the "Console Command" button on the pause menu (need to enable it the "Console Access" setting in the Advanced category of your options menu), or it will also force-save when you Exit to Main Menu.
(Note <@&735187083957633025> we're also investigating the issue on your platform as well).

The public PC beta branch featuring the first look at Survival of the Fittest and the upcoming **cryopod **update is live. We'd love to get your feedback on SOTF and the upcoming cryopod update (server coming soon)!

We're monitoring various network issues related to the Epic Online Service outage:

For some more context, ARK: Survival Ascended using Epic Online Services as the software used to deliver cross-platform services and it's how you connect to the online version of the game, regardless of the platform you play on. So even if you're on Steam, Xbox, or PlayStation, you're going through Epic Online Services (it's developed by the same team that created Unreal Engine 5, the engine that ASA is developed from).
When there is an EOS outage, it could cause issues such as login/connection issues. We're currently waiting for Epic to resolve the problem and investigating if there are any additional steps we have to take to resolve the connection problems. We'll keep you posted if there are any further updates, and you can also follow Epic's progress on the problem with the above link.
We're optimistic it will get resolved soon as it's highly likely that it affects lot of other titles.. including probably Fortnite, and ain't no way they're letting Fortnite have tech issues 😛
Looks like things are starting to recover again, we see our player counts climbing back up and I was able to rejoin servers. You may need to restart your application/game and give it a second to load the servers 👍🏾
We're continuing to monitor to see if any further problems.

With this upcoming patch (45m eta) we are adding a server launch parameter that will be needed when you disable Winter Wonderland to prevent losing event cosmetics/items.
For servers hosted with Nitrado, they will be adding a checkbox soon/ASAP to add the launch parameter specifically for the Winter Wonderland event.
Unofficial Servers:
- When turning off/disabling Winter Wonderland: Add the Winter Wonderland ID to your server launch parameters (-passivemod=927090). Make sure to also keep the Winter Wonderland active until content migration happens later this month (-mod=927090). Failure to use both launch parameters will result in the loss of the event cosmetics/items.
Single Player: - Make sure to keep the Winter Wonderland mod active until content migration happens later this month.

Steam Single Player gang,
We have spun up a new Public Test Realm named Public_Test_SinglePlayer_Saving with a client build that tests a new single player saving structure.
We'd love player's help in testing this so we can iterate quickly in order to get these improvements live BUT please be aware that you will need to backup your single player save and stay on this test branch until we push the new save system live to keep your progress.
How to join:
You will need to be running the steam version of Ark Survival Ascended as you will be activating a beta branch of the game.
1: Open your steam Library and right click on Ark Survival Ascended then click "Properties"
2: Navigate to the "Betas" tab on the menu that will have appeared
3: Select the"Public_Test_SinglePlayer_Saving" from the Beta participation drop down.
Doing this will cause your game to download an update which will then patch and update your game. You would need to follow these steps if you choose to leave the beta program. Please be warned that your save will be lost if you leave the beta branch prior to the patch going live
REMINDER that there is NO GOING BACK once u go forward, so we recommend only switching over if you are up for hardcore testing with us

Unfortunately, sever transfers will need to be delayed until Wednesday, Feb 7th. We understand this is frustrating news but due to the complexity of integrating player-created custom cosmetics, networked structures, and the new modding framework into the upcoming update, server transfers will require an extension until next week.
We know some of you are eagerly awaiting server transfers, and we apologize for the delay. Rest assured, our team is working diligently to deliver them alongside the major update (that includes user-created cosmetics) next week.
The new fresh non-transfer Official PvP servers will go live with the opening of the transfer system on Wednesday.

We've just deployed a new type of server across the network (for the various game types) that we'll be referring to as "Expire" (which is what you can search for in the session filter).
These servers will be online until 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on June the 1st. We're preemptively using our allocation for The Center to host some additional sessions that players can travel onto to farm, tame, and experience the Scorched Earth Gameplay. The same transfer restrictions apply in that you are only able to download your character, but you can freely take anything off. This is to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto Scorched Earth temporarily.
Please note that these servers will no longer exist after 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on June the 1st, so if you intend to use them remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date as nothing will be saved beyond that time period.

Due to the impact of the exploit with transfers that allowed people to take prohibited items and creatures into scorched earth servers, we'll be conducting a rollback on the Official Network for PvP servers only. The rollback will be about 12 hours, which aligns with our prior deployment last night.
We are also noticing item loss during ascension when attempting to download back to Scorched Earth. We're hoping to fix that ASAP. More news to come!

We've identified a client-side issue with session listing and we're planning on rolling out a fix for Steam shortly. As it's a client fix, it will be a little later for consoles unfortunately. Buuuut we do have a workaround in the interim if you're having trouble seeing servers. Please note if you have the map filtered to Island, SE, or SOTF, before you enter the session list, it will not show servers.

If you change the dropdown to 'All Maps', back out to the main menu, then click join again, you should see the servers

Quick The Center Launch Day LiveOps Update
We are currently working on a major update for The Center, which includes numerous fixes for visual issues, polish, level design, and bugs, such as an issue with Pyromane Breeding on servers, and the inability to build in some spots around the map.
Many of these fixes have been queued up in advance, but due to maintaining cross-platform compatibility and certification requirements, we had to wait to release them. Now that the release is out the door, we’ll be working on getting this patch out ASAP, ideally, we can have it released or into cert before the end of the week.
The Windows version of the game is still being certified, and we should know more about its status tomorrow.
“Cannot Download. 3 Unsupported Items.” - if you’re experiencing this issue, we do have a quick workaround:
Step one: Download your character from the cloud onto an Island
Step two: Transfer your character directly to The Center server of your choice
Note: This issue can occur when going via the cloud, so make sure you’re doing a direct transfer.
We’ll be monitoring reports for new issues and solving them as they come in! And, as always, we will continue to monitor official server capacity with a view to adding new servers if needed.

🌴 We're preparing the deploy the Summer Bash update to PlayStation and Steam shortly. The update for Xbox and Windows is still with Microsoft but we are working with them on a resolution and hope that we'll be able to release it sometime tomorrow. We apologise to those players, we didn't want to delay the other platforms indefinitely while we wait for a resolution.
We'll be running 3x rates this weekend as a gesture of compensation.

Where is Nvidia Framegen?
We're currently in the process of making some implementation changes to Nvidia FG as tweaks were necessary after intregrating AMD Frame Interpolation. We opted for the AMD FI implementation with this release as it is supported on all hardware, including consoles. We're looking to restore Nvidia Frame Gen ASAP
Where is AMD FSR 3.1 Upscaler?
In AMD FSR 3.1, AMD decoupled the Upscaler from the Frame Interpolation, this allowed us to implement the Frame Interpolation while we work on FSR. Technically you could enable it with some console commands, but there are some visual issues we need to resolve which is why we haven't completely enabled it in the game.

So we're still looking into the crash on the newer drivers and we've reached out to our engineering partners and AMD about it. In the interm, we've learned that some players have had success in eliminating the GPU crash on Aberration by rolling back their drivers specifically to this:

We intend to fix the crash with AMD on the newest drivers, but in meantime this might allow you to get in game. Appreciate everyones reports and info to help identify the crash

Hey folks, we'll be dropping a round of fresh Official Aberration servers in about 15 - 30 minutes (as in, that's about how long they should take to appear for you). We also plan to do another round of the servers that are most needed after Playstation passes certification so those poor players can get a fresh start.
And, from there, we'll monitor demand moving forward.
This may be our last announcement for tonight so, thank you for sticking with us through a tricky launch we're ready to get back into fixes after a little rest

Hey gang, we'll be dropping a round of fresh Official Aberration servers shortly and we expect players to be able to see them in under an hour (they just take a lil time to spin up). We've used metrics to identify what's most needed at the moment and we'll continue to monitor and adjust as needed through the weekend.
This is the only drop planned for today, to be clear.

Quick update on some things atm
- Rockwell Boss Fight currently triggers the ascension right after being defeated, meaning you're not able to earn to get the loot. Working on resolving this and other relation ascension issues, so would recommend avoiding Rockwell for now.
- Climbing Picks have a bug where there's a chance to be yeeted about 9,885,324,186,500,605,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (actually accurate) units outside of the map bounds, this is very bad and not intended - we're working on resolving this too so you might want to hold off on using those. Do not try this because you won't be able to log back onto that character because you will crash until we've patched
- AMD have reproduced the crash on Aberration affecting some graphic cards on particular drivers and they're working on a fix, so we're hopeful they'll have something for us soon.
Still working on other bugs/fixes, but two of these are pretty impactful to the experience and one affects a lot of folks so just wanted to give ya the heads up 👍🏾

For those who are currently experiencing the crash after being yeeted by their climbing picks, you can head into the options menu and disable "Automatically create POIs on Death" and then try logging onto the server and this may allow you to get back in until we've patched the issue.

Heya, just a quick check-in at the end of what has been a busy day for the Live Ops team. The ITS OVER 9000 ping issues on Ab should now be solved post-v53.5 server update....phew
Engineers are now kicking off a build with a potential fix for the Xbox client crashes that will be tested in the morning and, hopefully, pushed wide tomorrow. Of course, the team is also iterating on other bugs and reported issues. Thanks, as always, for the good feedback and reports

Hey guys, we're investigating an issue related to transfers and "not allowed item". It's a high priority but In the interim, if you're affected, you can wait until the next server save to try again and it shouuulddd be fine
Players are reporting that picking something up ie: thatch, berries, fibre and then trying again is a workaround (if you're not transferring from Ab of course) if you'd like to give that a try too
Also, thank you for all of the valuable bug reports today! Expect quick patching in the coming days like fixing event dinos not permanently unlocking event cosmetics, chibi spawn and crafting fixes and, well, a whole list.

On September 6th, we deployed a new type of server across the network (for the various game types) that we refer to as "Expire" to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto Aberration temporarily.
Please note that these servers will no longer exist after 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on November 15th, aka tomorrow! So please remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date, as nothing will be saved beyond that time period!

Hey everyone,
We've kicked off final steps/preparations to release the update containing Extinction & Wasteland War. This was a decision we weighed carefully as it will be only on Steam and PlayStation at this point in time.
Xbox and Windows users will unfortunately need to wait for the update to clear certification. Currently, the certification process is taking 4x longer than the usual turnaround time. Microsoft is actively investigating our issue, but at this time, we don't have an ETA yet as to when our submission will be approved nor do we have much insight into the reason for the delay.
As we want to ensure we have the ability to do more patches post-release, we're unable to hold back the release any further but as soon as we become unblocked on the Microsoft platforms, we'll immediately release the update for our Xbox and Windows players.
In order to mitigate the potential damage to players who can't join, we'll have item and dino uploads from Extinction temporarily disabled until all platforms are in parity. We'll also roll out more fresh Official servers at this time. We expect to go live shortly.

Microsoft has informed us that they've resolved the issue which caused our update to get stuck in their pipeline and now the patch can begin to go through its automated checks.
Good news because once this is complete, we'll be able to release the build assuming it doesn't get stuck anywhere else in that process. Still a bit of a waiting period as we were hoping it was already passed this part of the process before it got stuck, sadly not, so while we don't have a precise timeline yet, this process typically takes less than a day.
Our next communication about this will be when the patch is available (as our insight into the checks is limited), and we'll be holding on releasing additional servers for over an hour following the patch until we see that significant Xbox Users are online.

To address recently fixed exploits that allowed items and creatures to exceed their intended levels and quality, we will be performing a one-time wipe of the following on the Official Network:
- All Meks and Enforcers above level 300.
- All Scout weapons and blueprints above a quality of 2000.
- All other items and blueprints above a quality of 200.
Unofficial servers can also clean up items that were introduced by this exploit using the configurations mentioned in the patch notes.
Going forward, craftable items on the Official Network will adhere to these same caps. For unofficial servers, these caps can be adjusted using new configurations in the GameUserSettings.ini.
To support fairness and balance, enforcement measures are also taking place. Thank you for your patience as we work to maintain an even playing field and an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Hey folks the major version update is waiting to clear cert and we're hopeful we'll get that into your hands today.
This update brings a Wasteland makeover to ClubARK, a new Bob’s Tall Tales mission (Mad Mark), and the Scrap Golem variant as a rare reward. Gameplay improvements include XP boosts for Enraged creatures, QoL updates for Armadoggo & BattleRig, and various balancing tweaks. A massive wave of bug fixes addresses taming, UI, multiplayer desync, environment bugs and more.
We did have a speculative fix for the spawn issues impacting the Sunken Forest (Gachas, Gigas, etc) but it still looks like it's occurring so the team is going to continue to iterate on it and we hope to have it resolved asap.

The Playstation Network is back online. In 15 minutes, transfers on our Official Network will be reenabled and decay on items and creatures in upload will be temporarily increased by 24 hours (this means if anything is "expired" in the upload already it WILL show up once the config is picked up so long as it's within the overall 48hr time).

<@&735187057231790152> For those experiencing the "Black Screen" issue when attempting to join Aestreos, please try the following steps:
Close down ASA
Right click ARK: Survival Ascended on Steam and select "Properties"
Select "DLC"
Uncheck "ARK: Astraeos"
Restart your Steam Application (literally, exit it and reopen it).
Go back to the DLC menu and check it again (enabling)
This should force the download and you should be able to get in
It'll be about 2GB worth of downloading, and afterwards you should be able to connect.
If that doesn't work for you (which has been the case for some), verifying your steam files seems to do the trick as well, though this will probably take a fair bit longer than the download. To verify your files:
- Make sure ASA is closed
- Right click ARK: Survival Ascended on Steam and select "Properties"
- Select "Installed Files"
- Then select "Verify Integrity of game files"

Okay guys, quick wrap up of where we're at right now:
We're continuing to look into two main issues with high priority at the moment-- "Blackscreen" across various platforms (yes, we see you too Playstation folks) and "the required dlc has not been installed yet" issue on Windows.
If you are experiencing the "Black Screen" on Steam or Xbox, please check the workarounds Jat shared above.
If you are experiencing the "Black Screen" on Playstation, please try this workaround:
- Close the App, if open
- Select game and press options
- Select manage game content
- On Astraeos, click the *install * button to the right of the name
- Wait for it to be installed
- Open the game
Alsooooo, whilst I'm here typing up a storm, here are some known Maeguana issues that didn't make the build:
Known Milky Friend issues:
- There is no way to increase Nursing Effectiveness (This is being changed to scale with Food stat)
- Quality Saddle BPs are not currently dropping on the map (They are being added to Astraeos OSD loot)
- They are gaining hidden points in oxygen (And this will not be fixed retroactively)
- There is some noticeable jittery movement on servers when swimming and gliding
- Various other minor fixes to the model, missing icons, etc.
Of course, we have other fixes we're working on along with gathering your reports as you jump into Astraeos (thank you for those and please keep them coming #bug-reports )
And, our server engineers are working through a few straggling servers that needed a good kicking manual reboot. If you don't see your server in the next 30 min or so, please file a #server-reports
Finally, I see the questions regarding whether we will roll out more Official Astraeos servers, we'll monitor our metrics and roll out more servers as needed during prime time on Friday. So around 3 - 5pm Pacific Time
I think that covers it for now! Thank you for weathering the launch rollercoaster with us and we hope you're enjoying the new map and the event!

So just to clear up some confusion:
- Lost Colony Expansion Pass is available now
- It includes Fantastic Tames: Drakeling and Lost Colony (with a discount for purchasing them together)
- Both become standalone when we release Lost Colony in December later this year
- If you get the Expansion Pass now, when we release the update tomorrow, you'll be able to play with: Drakeling, Veilwyn, Cosmetics, Template Hammer, TEK Bunker, and Skill Tree.
- This also gives you access to the rest of the content coming with Lost Colony when it launches in December, including creatures/items/a new map and updates on the Day-1 features.
- Also the Lost Colony Expansion Pass is the only product available for sale, the other ones are just store pages!
- The Ragnarok DLC is free and will go live in tandem with the Lost Colony Expansion Pass content in tomorrow evening's update.

The update has cleared certification on Xbox and PlayStation yay! We’re currently iterating on and testing the server build. It’s a hefty update with a new map, new systems, technical changes, and critical bug fixes, so we’re taking the time to be thorough. Official server prep is also underway.

Client update v67.46 has some meaningful improvements for Frame Gen, Survivors:
💠 Frame Generation (DLSS/FSR) can now be disabled via the UI.
💠 NVIDIA cards (4000 series cards and newer) that are capable of DLSS Frame Generation will have it enabled by default. Older generation NVIDIA cards or AMD cards still use FSR Frame Generation by default.
💠 Fixed a bug where Frame Generation was not working for NVIDIA 4000 cards and up.
💠 Fixed an issue where your Frame Generation settings weren't being saved properly.
💠 Changing Frame Generation settings will require a client restart to go into effect.
💠 We're still investigating and working on resolving visual discrepancies caused by DLSS Frame Generation.

🩸 **Hey folks, quick launch update: **
Xbox and Steam are now expected to release at 10:30 PM Pacific at the earliest. We are in the final stages of preparing the release server.
PlayStation Survivors: We’ve hit a snag, unfortunately the holiday certification pipelines are currently backed up, with the process moving approximately 10x slower than the typical turnaround time. Because of this, there is a possibility that the PlayStation version may not be ready to release by that time and will be a few hours later. The team will be standing by waiting for the green light and as soon as that approval hits, we will set PlayStation live with the other platforms.
We know splitting the launch isn't ideal, and we plan to release a fresh batch of Official Servers when the update goes live for PlayStation. We’re doing everything we can to expedite things on our end, and hope to have good news for our PlayStation players soon.
When we have more updates, we'll let you know.

Lost Colony Launch Update:
Thanks for your patience, Survivors, we know the wait has been a long one and we appreciate you sticking with us.
Good news first for Steam and Xbox: Lost Colony will be launching on Steam and Xbox in approximately 30 minutes. We’re excited to finally get this into your hands.
For PlayStation players, unfortunately, we’re currently caught in extended holiday certification pipelines. These are moving significantly slower than normal, which means we’re unable to launch on PlayStation just yet. We know this is frustrating, and we’re sorry for the delay. We expect it will pass cert within the next few hours.
We’ll continue to keep PlayStation players updated when certification progresses. After PlayStation passes cert, we’ll release a fresh batch of Official Servers when the update goes live. To make things fair and give everyone a shot, those servers will roll out in two waves (spaced apart by approx 12 hours), creating two clear windows to jump in and claim your spot.
Windows is also still going through certification.

Hellooo Survivors, we’re back! Hope you all had a good break. Holy shit it’s 2026!
Today’s been focused on lining everything up for the year ahead, with some final coordination before our All Hands tomorrow where we’ll take the rest of the team through the key beats and priorities. On the Live Ops front, we wanted to share a quick status note.
We’re aware of an issue with Outposts not spawning as expected. This one’s a bit delicate because nearby structures can affect it, so we’re adjusting it carefully and may need to iterate. We’ll get a first pass out as soon as it’s ready, keep an eye out.
We’re also targeting a major update next week, and right now the confirmed items for it are:
- Character creator crash fixes
- Mesh fixes
Beyond that, we’re actively working through a number of other reported issues, including:
- An issue where joining a boss fight while possessing a thrall, then unpossessing during the fight, can break the encounter
- A server crash that can cause players to lose their hotbar
- Outposts not spawning correctly
- Tamed dinos falling under the map in Lost Colony
- Skipping the boss cutscene breaking the boss fight
The Live Ops team is working through more post-launch quirks, and we’ll share updates as things lock in. As always, thanks for the reports and patience.

Alright Survivors, we need your voices. Literally 🗣️
We’re kicking off a Discord Voice Chat Public Test Realm at 11am Pacific to put the new Discord voice chat integration through its paces. This is the plugin that will power ASA's in-game voice, and we want to make sure you’ll sound your best when it goes live on the main network.
To properly put it through its paces, we need a busy server of play testers. The more voices, callouts, and coordinated chatter, the better.
If you’re interested in helping us shape ASA’s in-game voice experience, you can pre-download the build by activating a beta branch of the game. Full instructions for accessing a beta branch can be found here in #ptr-info (that will open in about 30 minutes). Once the testing is live at 11am Pacific, join “public_test_realm” then head over to #ptr-discussion for further info from our QA team and to leave your voice chat related reports and feedback.
We will be selecting 10 play testers at random to receive their choice of a Lost Colony or Tides of Fortune key (when it launches) as a thank-you for participating.

In approximately 2.5 hours, at 1 PM Pacific, we'll be conducting a Major Version update across all platforms which rolls out our initial integration of Discord voice chat into the game.
This core Discord features this update brings:
- Voice Chat System replaced with voice chat powered by Discord
- Discord Account Linking
We're excited about this update as it should bring a more stable cross-platform voice chat to ASA, resolving issues where players were unable to communicate and consistency issues. In the near future we'll be bringing more of Discord's social functionality to the game.
Important Note: A Discord Account is not required to use ASA's in-game voice, so account linking is optional. Accounts that are linked can subsequently unlinked via the Connection Tab in the Discord App's settings.

Hey folks, just touching base to let you know we're holding the Crunch while we maintain full focus on solving the issue outlined in #status-updates

We've now resolved the corruption-related crash issue that led to the Official Network being taken offline.
Over the past day, we’ve been running controlled server environments on a small number of official servers with enhanced logging to safely reproduce the issue, validate adjustments, and ensure the cleanup logic correctly identifies and resolves these corrupted cases before they can destabilise a server.
With the fix now validated, we will begin redeploying the Official Network in approximately 15 minutes. Servers will start coming back online shortly after deployment begins, some servers may take some time so please be patient and some servers may also require a rollback.
We know downtime on this scale is disruptive, and we genuinely appreciate your patience while we worked through this. Our priority was bringing the network back stable, not just fast.
Once the network is back online, we'll monitor stability and we plan to run a week long EVO event once we're confident all is well.
