You may need to re-download the DLC maps again - they're not all automatically added after the 5.5 update, and, according to other folks on the maps I'm playing on, you need the relevant map installed to learn the engrams from it

I just read that a player who plays on Steam solved the problem by reinstalling the stream and all of his Ark files. He also searched his hard drive for any remnants and deleted several GB of junk data.

So, I've found a sort-of work-around on PC for the frame rate drop. Pressing F11 switches between Windowed and Full Screen modes. I've had about a 50% success rate with the frame rate recovering. If it happens again, or doesn't work, just press F11 again. I think the most I've had to do it is 4 times.

I think it's irresponsible to drag millions of players into discussions and waste countless hours when there's an opportunity to work on known issues. On PlayStation, for example, I've had countless CE errors involving mod storage. The problem is probably just a missing, corrupted, or misconfigured file that was supposed to delete a command. These errors already existed in SE with teleportation, but now in ASA, they've made the problem worse. 😬 The mod storage must be under 5 GB, but it never seems to clear properly after loading files, which often leads to CE errors after opening the inventory, rendering other bases, or using other items. Mod compositions seem unimportant. I've tried it for several weeks, consulted many clusters, and everyone has had the same experience. I wonder why large platforms with paying customers are excluded?

I will say that even on newest NVidia driver, I don’t get crashes. I do get the FPS suddenly dropping to 10FPS. I toggle f11 until it gets back up to speed and it’s fixed for an hour or so.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this on PC I’m new to the ASA scene. I have a 3060ti 32GB ram (3600 clock speed) and I run the game on medium completely fine it’s super smooth, the issue is randomly maybe after about 20-30 minutes my GPU will spike from 70% usage to 100% and chug super hard until I exit to menu and rejoin. It’s on the island, I’m not sure if that matters. Just after messing with different anti aliasing settings and every heavier graphic setting it’s always the same result. If one has higher health, then they don't have the same stats lol. Unless you mean you put levels into it later? Then yes... babies only inherit the original tamed stats. (Why it's beneficial to not levels your breeders or to at least write them done so you know when you get s baby that matches. I.e. if both parents are level 209... then any baby with level 211 has a mutation. (If you put in levels then they won't match and you'll need to check all the stats for a mute)

What I do for flickering in any game is go to devicer manager, click display adapter, click on my gpu. go to drivers, update drivers, browse my computer for drivers, next, and update them. This fixes any type of flickering for me

But also: does it stop crashing if you remove the mod? If yes, it's the mod. You can also check for mod updates in the mod directory. Go to mods in Ark, above there should be something like "my mods" or installed mods, there is an update all button there.

Check if it stops crashing, if not, might need to remove the mods to check if it crashes. But make a backup of your saves before that. Go to the ark local files on steam > saved > copy the savedarkslocal folders to somewhere else in your pc.

• FPS DROP FIX on PC: We've introduced dynamic VRAM management to mitigate instances of memory buildup caused by changes in how memory is allocated in UE5.2 vs 5.5. This build up would lead to major FPS degradation that took a significant amount of time to recover. Our temporary system adapts internal rendering settings to improve stability and prevent the FPS drop. Cards with 8GB VRAM are operating close to the memory limit, and therefore will often have the new system turned on. When the low-VRAM circumstance is detected, this will result in a performance loss of about 15%, however this should prevent the ~90% FPS drop. This is a temporary workaround while we work on fundamentally resolving this issue, either by restoring the 5.2 behaviour or working with Epic to fix the underlying bug with the transient VRAM allocator.

Might be a stupid question but I used cheat gcm to simply test if it worked that I enabled Admin rights for me on ny server.
I instantly disabled it after like 5seconds.

I am on Xbox series X. Great internet. Can’t stay on an unofficial server. Sometimes I can pop into single player then back to the cluster and I’m good for 5 minutes. I am constantly black screening. I’ve already deleted data on my machine and let the game sync up and cleared the cache on the machine itself. Is there anything else I could do for a more stable connection?

Rag is through but it's still publishing to the store, this can take up to an hour. A workaround if you'd like to download immediately is going to single player and clicking the white download icon after switching regions

Guys if you're trying to play on simgle player for ragnarok and you're on XBox, you need to go to your manage add-ons settings and see if the box on the right is checked for the Rag add-on. I installed the add on but I checked the box and it wasn't activated. Once you do that, the map is playable.

Hello - if you can’t load into single player for Xbox, try loading into a low population official PVP server, spawn in, and then quit, then load single player and it should let you join:)

Well, I have to honestly say that since the 5.5 update, we've only had problems. Now, either the screen is black, or you're simply kicked out and the card is no longer there (but it's active), or you can't even log in because you keep getting reset to the start screen! Yup, mine is. I think there's a bug from the update causing it, so hopefully it'll be resolved soon. I'm on a 4090 and 9800X3D cpu with 64 GB of Ram and was totally fine after 5.5, but this update is severely stuttering my PC. Got about 120 frames before and now it's fluxuating between 15 FPS and 70. Sometimes it's smooth but other times it'll just randomly drop and stutter for several minutes, very odd
