Is anyone else having issues with juvenile/adolescent dinos dying overnight of starvation? I have a platform cart from Bob’s DLC with fridges auto-refilling my regular troughs but it looks like it only does refills when the cart is rendered i.e. I need to be logged in for it to work. On official? Probably depends on dino. You could just use cryopods to store them until you're online.
I personally use to just use many troughs and would make sure all reached juvenile before I logged off.

there is no such thing as a specific "50/50 bug", though

it refers to the exact center point (0, in engine terms) of the map, which has lots of possible weird interactions with other stuff and is where anything missing a valid location ends up

Depends on how much time you can/want to invest in the game. Official is satisfying to some but does require a lengthy time investment to progress. Support is spotty at best (in my experience). It is the most intended experience by the developers. They are relatively safe from being suddenly closed.
Unofficials mostly have higher rates/longer structure decay timers. Support is much more immediate but there is always a risk of a sudden shutdown due to lack of funds.
So decide off that information.

How to tame the cat:

• Firstly check the area the cat is in, if it has aggressive creatures (such as a raptor) remove those before you approach the cat

• Then slowly crouch up behind the cat, the symbol should be green, if not you need to re-check the area.

• You can start taming, and following it around. Just ensure you keep an eye on its stance (icon colour above head).

**However, if the area is to dangerous, you can follow the steps below; **

• First off aggro it

• Let it attack you

• it should pounce on you and start scratching

• take it to a body of water

• it’ll jump off, then you can feed it

• to keep feeding it you’ll have to keep taking it to water, so probably best to build a box around it

• wyvern milk - raw prime fish - mutton - raw prime - fish - kibble - cooked (the rank of what food is the best isnt 100% confirmed yet though

you don't have to be! Ark lends itself incredibly well to playing however you want to. Official servers make it tough to play anything else in my experience due to needing to keep your base from decaying and your dinos fed.

unfortunately for unofficial servers you typically need to run your own or have friends that do. you can also do that with single player. nice thing about single player is that the game stops when you're not playing it so when you come back, literally everything is exactly how you left it. In official and even unofficial servers that's not always the case.

Nondedicated means anyone on your platform that sees your session while you're on/ingame can join. It has a host tether between you and anyone that joins

Consoles cannot host a dedicated server, you must have a PC for that. If you want to just play with yourself and 1-3 friends, you can host nondedicated (not recommended since it's buggy as shit and you have a tether, and is not crossplay)

If you want to look for unofficials that have the rates you like, you can look in #1110925695900713072 or the ark subreddits and such.

If you want to host your own, you either need a pc, need to rent hardware/gameserver, or rent a nitrado server

With every update, Wildcard manages to make the game work a little bit worse... now it sometimes takes forever to start or load, or ARK doesn't start at all and gets stuck on the start screen... Asa should only require around 3gb of ram, that said it will use more depending on ram allocated and your total free

I was actually testing AsA briefly loading in my base to see test for faulty ram. When I was down to 8gb of ram the game was utilizing 3.5gb. When I have all my ram in, which is 32gb, it tends to use 14gb

I can only assume that the 14gb is like the "maxed out" usage. So it should never be using more than that I would hope

It was stated how the changes would work, so you gotta make sure you check them when they drop a patch for any in-game changes.

that is not how anything works, and what you were observing is likely SWAP usage, since the game cant even load in so little memory. if you were using task manager or a similar simplified display, it shows you meaningless nonsense for memory usage.

if you mean the extinction desert titan cave. then one of the spawns is tameable. would need to youtube it for the exact spot they can spawn.

it is barely powerful enough. if it does, it would need to be a severely cut-down version. switch 2 is worse than the series S in some areas, but has slightly more memory

Well, I initially tried to put the ASA binary on the Pico directly, but since the pico only has 2MB of storage it didn't work. So I did the next best thing and programmed my Pico to run a command to install and then run ASA on any computer it's plugged into with USB. Not perfect, but gets the job done ig

you place down a bed on foundation, and can spawn there when you die/spawn but each bed has a timer and if you select a bed that is not ready to be spawned in you will be spawned at a random location. does this help?

since its a fight that gives levels it will kick you to the respawn screen as if you transfer in but you cant transfer with element so for that fight as well as overseer (island), rockwell (Ab), Gen 1 and Gen 2 boss you have to store the element in a tame before you get tped out
