It’s just not a super common occurrence it basically what I’m trying to say. If a lot of people were actually losing characters not just for example 10’s of people then they would prioritize that but with meshing, the content road map, duping, cheating and just everything else those incidents are not significant enough to warrant them prioritizing it

If it was common there would be way more people complaining about it than there is I maybe see one person a day I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but it’s not common 💀 common would tons of people losing characters all the time

Pure berry gathering bronto is better because if the sweep of the tail clearing massive amounts of bushes, but it moves slowly. Theiz has harvesting levels which makes it better in many ways, but way longer to tame without kibble

Yes and no. The highest unmodded dino level you'll find in the wild is 150 unless it's a Tek dinos which is 180. Certain creatures like wyverns also have a higher level, but that's a different type of tame entirely

100% taming effectiveness will give you half it's wild levels upon taming usually 74 levels for a 150 because it loses a small amount after the first time eating.

All of those levels provide skill points which get distributed randomly.

If you use a spyglass mod (like awesome spyglass) or Tek binoculars (which you don't have) you can see the point allocation when looking at dinos

Usually a good stat will be 40+ typically you won't see one higher than 50, but it can happen

As for actual values. Each dino scales each stat a bit differently. So you are usually better off judging a dino off of it's level rather than say oxygen and food

Yes, but it's very hard to do and usually pointless. Most of the time the stats you level depends on the dino. For example a pteradon can't go in the water. So it's oxygen stat is useless. However, it's a fast flying mount with low weight. So you typically pump Stam. Give it a little extra weight so it can carry you and your gear. Then focus hp and melee

You also typically replace the pt with an argentavis. Better in every regard except speed.

And I’d say the best way to get the carcha tamed is actually using some high hp value diplos funnily enough. Gives the most bang for your buck and they’re relatively easy to tame

Oh man, my tribe and 1 spent hundreds of ours and ported almost all our good lines to the Appalachia map on modded cluster only to have it closed for a month with no end in sight.
Wondering if we have just lost 1000's of hours of effort and a heap of our lines. Please ark gods, consider re-opening as we feel like we are being punished for something out of our control. Maybe, but I suggest bringing a daeadon too. With large groups a daeadon would go through food too quickly to keep the healing active but with only two it's more realistic to expect the healing to last. Also, less megatheriums means more bugs to go around. Bringing too many can risk some of them not getting bug buffed but I think your two won't have trouble with that

The max level for most wild creatures is 30 times the difficulty value (150 on official servers) and 30 times the difficulty value plus 1 for Tek Creatures (180 on official servers).

Either that or change your game to hard mode in the difficulty selection in the pregame options selection screen. That should make wilds spawn at 150 but you will still need to kill dinos on the map or do a forced dino wipe

I recommend you grab the custom dino level mod. You can adjust it in the .ini files to skew levels towards the higher end, set minimum/maximum levels or use some of the preset options. Keep in mine corrupted dinos can still spawn over lvl 150 and so can Tek dinos which is intended

base speed is not 1897. it is weird and you would need to look at the source files to actually figure it out, but the values the wiki shows should be the adjusted speed with lv1 stats

a lot of dinos dont have 100% as their base speed value when tamed

ptera actually looks relatively simple, 1897 looks like it would be the real base tamed speed, there is a hidden 15% bonus in there over wild

Gotta another question, on ascended, SP on Series S. I’m running Admin Panel, Cliffans: wardrobe, backpacks, sci fi, and extra life. Both Shoko’s decor mods and wall n floor decor. I’ve run the safe uninstall/install procedures a number of times even ran it without mods but seem to crash upon loading every time. My question is can I bypass this at all or do I need to delete my game save? Anything helps

the save is most likely corrupted. you should really not use memory-consuming mods on series S, it greatly increases chance of crashes, and that causes saves to break

I’m a little desperate here because I can’t load my island save on asa, I was using the new gigantophis mod and I paid for the premium. I went to use the whistle and it said I needed to pay for premium so I hit okay and it kicked me out the map and to the mod page. After I tried loading back in it just wouldn’t load I’d be stuck on the loading screen. It’s not just a general issue because I can load into the other maps just not my island save. Anyone know how I could fix this? I’ve already tried deleting the save and backing it up and nothing on google is helping

My testing of hazmat vs Wyvern breath has been promising, but primitive suck badly. Just getting hit directly twice by the Wyvern while on the back of a creature was enough to effectively destroy the suit. And I still took insane amounts of damage (+300 hp on a high level character).

yeah wyvern eggs require a very specific temperature, not too hot not too cold, so you might not be able to hatch it from the volcano

Why wouldn't/shouldn't they? They are allowing the content into their game. It's no different to a company paying someone to advertise their product. Even if the mod creator only gets 50% of the money if 1000 download a £5 mod that's decent sum I'd be happy with and given that all the og DLC is included within the game they have to make money from somewhere in order to keep maintaining the game 🤷‍♂️

I have been having a major issue on a server - whenever I load in i timeout within 30 seconds and if i access any inventory it jsut says refreshign ark inventory. Creating a new char fixes this for 30 mins but if i access a drop it instantly starts the issue again, or if i access any inventory after 30 mins it happens. Only happens on one specific cluster at the moment that I can tell but may happen on others

yeah, i use a nornal usb external, no ssd... but for single player... it plays great, a small lag when it saves occasionally

But you can also choose which expansions to install, which can save a bit

For ASE, there are a lot of tricks you can do to get it running smoothly on lower end machines

Depends how you play, If are playing one map at a time, you can get a mod that just unlocks all the engrams, or if you have The Island, and Lost Island, your game is small but you have 90% of the dinos and stuff available

Is it fine if i don't mod because i want to feel the fun though. Does that mean if i'm playing Singleplayer (The Island) It will be laggier than playing other maps?

The bigger maps are laggier, the Island is the most stable map, small with no crash spots
