Hi everyone,
This is my first time using this server. I absolutely loved playing ARK: Survival Evolved, but since switching to ARK: ASA, I’ve been experiencing a lot of issues. With ARK: Survival Evolved, I had no problems at all, but ARK: ASA has been giving me random stutters and FPS drops every few seconds, even though my system can otherwise handle 30-40 FPS comfortably. I’ve tried adjusting every setting possible, including lowering everything to the minimum and turning off clouds, fog, and reflections, but nothing has resolved the stuttering.

Here are my laptop specs for reference:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS with Radeon 780M Graphics
RAM: 32.0 GB
Storage: SSD
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU
If anyone has advice or solutions, I’d really appreciate the help!

uploaded creature will be in the ark data. you can then download back at any obelisk, even on other maps. be careful though, your dinos inventory will be dropped and sometimes ark just destroys it for no reason (so using cryopods is better)

It's a great game concept, but poorly developed. Plenty of issues on PS5, lagging, game crashes constantly is some maps, bugs. The developers can't launch a single new content on time, and besides always being delayed it also comes out with lots of errors and server downtime

Here’s some downgrades: performance is much worse, there are several bugs and exploits that have existed since launch, several graphical issues and paid content

But beyond that there’s not very many downgrades and a lot of upsides to ASA

Crossplay, console modding, many and innumerable QoL things, building is massively improved, new free Dinos that are very strong, map improvements in areas, and just so so much more.

ASA is not the massive down ground people say it is @cedar sundial , they just with for the days when ark was ‘hard’ and ‘scary’ a feeling that cannot be recaptured

if it is bushes use a whip to harvest through your floors. if it is unharvestable grass use the command grass.sizescale and input the size you want from 0 - 1, i use 0.6. so it'd be grass.sizescale 0.6

is there a way to check what dinos spawn without waiting hours to pray that it does spawn? I've used Rassclarks tutorial to get tek giga's to spawn in normally but I've found 1 normal giga with 15 hours played on extinction so far and I want to know if i need to fix anything

Easy - Blue (spawns level 1 dinos, raptors are the hardest I believe)
Medium - Yellow (stegos, paracers, carnos, 1-2 spinos on final rounds around level 150 I believe?)
Hard - Red (Spinos, paracers, stegos, rexes, arthropluera's, around 4 wyverns that spawn on final waves 4 and 5, not sure about wave 3. Level 250-300, on this difficulty you either need a few imprinted rexes with atleast decent stats, or gigas)
Legendary - Purple (Honestly no idea it's been years since I've done it - wyverns for sure, rarely gigas? besides that probably the same as Hard but much higher levels, probably around 400-600. imprinted gigas with capped saddles are a must-have, atleast 3/4 of them so it's best to do it with other players)

If you are having trouble and have teammates, take your rex outta the fight and heal it with snow owl, same thing with gigas, yuty's are useful aswell but I personally didn't use em

how well it will handle ark depends on actual specs. if a PC is that expensive, it should be far better than a console. a lot of prebuilts are scammy, though.

Question. We have a private server. We have removed most of the mods from it except a few building mods that we have used on every other map and have never been an issue.
We have ONE player among the group that is having weird issues.

1. Even with our weight settings to God like. And enabling TG stacking 10,000-90 mod. He can’t pick up large lots of items. It tells him inventory full even if he only sees 3 or 4 things. If he empties his inventory he can pick up the pot.
2. When he splitting a stack of spark powder the half that splits off seems to disappear. But if he empties his inventory into a safe or drops it on the ground, that missing half reappears.

Anyone ever have these issues? Is there a resolve?

A spawn limiter mod. I’ve tried using it but it doesn’t really seem to work on improving the odds of a giga/carcha spawning. Either that or it takes way too long to get good results. It did work wonders on letting baryonyx and anky’s to spawn on my abb playthrough

Yeah I’ve done like 5 Dino wipes, nothings happening in regard to gigas/carchas spawning. It’s probably the same problem with abb, you know, where I couldn’t find anky’s and baryonyx, and you couldn’t find gigantoraptors. It’s literally other tames taking up way too many Dino spawn slots to the point where some Dino’s just don’t spawn

i believe i've figured out y my singleplayer save keeps crashing when loading, i think its because of the amount of creatures in the map, if i remember before that issue happened on the center, aberration, and extinction, the amount of creatures was i think around 17,000 dinos, definitely more than 10,000 dinos, then my game would crash when loading it in, but the island and scorched earth have been fine ever since was because currently the creature count on scorched earth is around 3,000 and the island is around 7,000, so i think the game can't handle that many creatures in it

Hey, I am having some problems with my crop plots on single player, they never grow bigger and always stay at seedlings (all crops have 300k+ fertilizer and are always watered by beehives) I already installed the K9 crop speed mod to let them grow in 5 minutes but although they grew up to the growthling state they just turned into seedlings after that. Did someone had similary experiences and know a fix to that?

Yeah we did the uninstall mod part and even uninstalled and reinstalled game. Went to my ps5 and loaded his profile and same thing happening. And he is the only one. It’s like his actual character is broken.
He can’t pick things up when he’s not full and only the sparkpowder disappears when it’s split, but only for him and no matter what system he is on.
