Feedback: the "SIR-5rM8" robot from the bob dlc is the most (sorry to say that but there is no other word to describe it better) stupid ai thing i have ever seen in a video game... i build a room with just dedis.. nothing that blocks his way. i placed some items in his inventory to test if the robot works and if he places the items in the correct dedi (every dedi correctly configured!).
This (sorry again) stupid thing is not able to put this 5 different items in the dedis just some meters away and either walks permanently against the dedis or he try to walk ourside this room to walk against the next wall...

it seems that the ping have BIG influence on the acting of the bot. the moment it comes near 200ms (which is normal on official even when there is NO event and only 5 ppl on the server) or higher... the robot acting like the most stupid thing ever.

same with the deinosuchus and his gigabite. the higher the ping the lower the damage. (no joke!) i made videos and screenshots and bug reported it.. also made a forum post months ago but it seems that no one cares. There are also many other things in this game that get influenced too because of the server performance but nothing changes.

yeah the cosmetics in your inventory show up at the top, but on the right side now, and the bottom right side is your interacted container (vault, etc). there's an expand button on both.

Hi @nojh, you can leave it running till you get tired of it! Last year we ran the Thanksgiving and Christmas events till almost Valentines but I couldn't take the Santa Raptor music any longer! Most of the time Wildcard will let us know if the rewards are not hard coded into the game yet, and I haven't seen any comments about that so far. There was only the Christmas event last year that was an issue, which was why we left it up so long. Once they announced they had it coded into the game it was history!

my internet is now having a hissy fit so ii'll explain what i was going to try ,
close ark and steam
go to curseforge website , search fear and look for the mod , press the download button .
it will download in a zipped format, unzip to the mods\83374 folder (or to your desktop, then move the files to that folder)
i think unzipped it shud contain a folder with numbers and inside that is the mod data .
once its moved or unzipped to the correct location, restart steam , open game and see if it installed the mod

Someone said have a piece of thatch or a berry in your inventory till you get the message, dump it and then try again. We're on unofficial so we never had a transfer lockout, and we aren't having transfer issues that anyone has complained about yet.

You can edit a maps ini file so that specific tames don't spawn on it

In your Single Player or server ini files add NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="YiLing_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="") Replace that dino BP with any other you want to stop spawning. Replace that empty string with a dino you do want to spawn.

And Frankly, if you cannot deal with Troodons then Ark ain't for you. They are not only trivially countered (raise fortitude stat, carry a torch, stay out of spawning areas at night) but some of the least troublesome of the annoying tames.

The original fantastic tames post said that they would be any maps except the island. So far it's every map, except ab for dread for obvious reasons.

So they fly down there because its fast and cuts out a lot of wildlife. Yes you can get down there on foot. There is a path way that starts where the blue zone and red zone meet at the crystalline swamp (the blue area with a lot of large crystal structures and a lake). If you follow it eventually it will take down to the drake nests. But the areas it runs through have purlovias which can stun you off a megalo. Plus it also passes some reaper queen spawns. Take a few spare haz suits and make sure you have a light pet. A small pack of megalos can handle anything down there but be careful they don't chase anything off a cliff. Also the water down there is element water and will kill you and your dinos quick if you fall in it.

its a know issue for the caracter profile lost. there is a pinned message in unofficial septup to use profile store command to workaround it. Basically sometimes your profile does not instantly save on the destination server once you download. On the web i read that holding Q to rearrange temporarly the hotbars forces a save of the profile. Same as putting a leveling point.

humm it does not require for all ppl to be online on the map while you do it, even if ppl are offline their profile file is still on the server so there is a 1 time command you need to run on each map to "consolidate" the files, once its done you can only use the other 2 provided parameter in the .bat

I figured a way to get my inventory back. Temporarily, until WC fixes this.

Drop your entire "invisible" inventory (for those of you who are missing items in there) on the floor in a bag. Then remove all your cosmetics from your clothes, then dop the entire content of the cosmetics tab on the floor. Now you can grab your inventory from the bag without a problem.

Place the cosmetics in another container. Just carry the strict minimum from the cosmetics.

Its purelly mathematic. Lets say you have a wild level 150. There are 2 kind of dino those with oxy and those who don’t. If the dino has oxy it has 6 possible stats and the other only 5.
On average most of the dinos will have stats point close to 150/6 in the wild in each stat. So 25. But since all is random you could encounter a dino with only 10 point in food but up to 40-45 pt in melee wild. So this increase the odd of having something crazy post tame. Same logic applies to taming effectiveness level. Youd get 75 bonus level splitted randomly in 6 stats. So around 11-12 per stats. But again since its rng you could get only 3-4 pt somewhere but 20 in another. So its really hard to predict the output of a tame. I got some 42 melee wild which ended up to 54, other to 45. And one time a average 28 wild got an insanely lucky bonus roll and ended up at 52

Hello, I recently collected notes on maps: "Island", "Scorched Earth". My SSD died, I had to reinstall the game to a new one. After reinstalling, all my notes from these 2 cards turned into a lock again. I thought it was a visual problem, but I knew that I had collected everything. Today I collected the last note on the "Aberration" map - I was not given the "100% collected pioneer notes" achievement. What should I do? What is the problem? Play on official servers. At the same time, all previously opened notes are marked with a lock, as when they were not open, but now they show the map on which I collected them. Sorry to bother you, but this is important to me until a new story map is released.

Yeah I usually turn off clouds, shadows, and fog, and turn off the Grass size everytime I log in lol. I think its the server I am on...my friend (they main on center but have a base on island) and they even said they lagged a bunch and they have a ps5. Theres just SOOO many giant bases in the map, theres 3 on carno island, atleast 3 by red ob and 2 at green. I may need to turn down my view/render distance so my game doesnt try and load them constantly.

And theres a big base behind me. Everywhere I fly I tend to lag and rubberband

I am PC yeah. Ive played ark for a while I was on unofficial for a while and I never lagged THIS much....like id lagg occassionally like any normal ark day but on my server. If I even go near red ob...or fly down the coast it takes like I swear ages to get anywhere cause I lag for 3 minutes/freeze and then im rubberbanded there for a minute.

I've defintely lagged worse since the fear update. But not enough to cause a real issue. What GC Do you have?

On unofficial I ran mods and it wasnt that laggy...I just think my island server is so congested and overpopulated with clutter. I went to my friends Center map and hers wasnt as laggy but in certain areas of high congestion I lagged.

The problem is that Every official server is like that LUL. And it could be because your driver is out of date. Is actually less than recommended. It says theres a minimum but they lie. If you wanna be able to process an official server you may have to upgrade that :[

I keep all my hardware and drivers updated I check my gforce regularly for updates...and my 3060 is brand new, only maybe a year old (for me anyways). I just gotta play with the settings I suppose.

Hmm, I mean I run other games on high or ultra but I know ark is a different animal all together. I didn't think they went out of date that fast o.e? I thought maybe it was my ssd but its all by itself on the ssd its on, I put my other games on the other ssd.
