I've been breeding my argies, and I already have a male with all the high stats from the original parents (tamed from wild), and it's a 212 (actually I got two 212 males lol, saving the second as a spare). Later (while looking for the perfect female), I got another male with all the high stats except it was a level 217. Should I have kept that one instead of the 212, or doesn't it matter in this case? (Am assuming it just has extra levels in 'hidden' stats like movement speed?) And yes, I did check - there were no mutations on the 217.

Because you are on survival evolved wild dinos can get movement speed levels but those are just wasted points and don't do anything. So if all the stats are identical but you're getting different levels that is almost certainly the problem you were having, If you wish to check that my assumption is true and are okay with a tiny bit of cheating. You can give yourself the admin gun and switch it to the green mode to check point distribution

Because you were playing single player a command I would strongly recommend using occasionally (basically, whenever you're noticing new things aren't spawning when you're looking for a thing) Is destroywilddinos, It will delete all dinos from your map except for those knocked out and tamed which can really help with finding rarer things like spinos and gigas

It depends on what kind of experience you want. If you want completely fresh on each map, make a new character. If you want to keep progressing the same character, then upload them to an obelisk whenever you want to start a new map, you can do the same with tames as well. Uploading a character will save their levels so you can continue to get more levels as you beat bosses, unlock explorer notes, and get levels on a chibi.

I don't think you can have a character on every map. I have the same on my single player ase and asa it's simple I go to orb or after winning rag beta unlock transmitter then every time before ending session I always upload my character so that when I return to play it won't delete my character. To get creatures on another map I simply upload creature on on orb then my character because o ase creatures in pod will be reset to level 1 then I just download them on desired map

No that's what you should always do I have been doing this on ase single player and never lost my character. If you by mistake don't upload your character and forget the map you were playing and by mistake start on another map that character is simply gone but all dinos structures will be there so you can claim all using a code

It is a bug that happens. If you do decide to upload your character and that happens, you can simply look at something from your tribe and use cheat forcejointribe. If you don't want to worry with that bug, just create a new character on each map 🙂 both are valid ways to play.

You have always been able to have different characters on each map. You do not have to upload your character, and you absolutely can be kicked from your tribe when doing so. It is a very common bug. Please stop spreading so much misinformation.

Unfortunately Evolved and Ascended are not able to be played like that. You can refund Ascended if you'd like, and just buy Evolved. They're 2 separate games, you're not able to just update to Ascended. Your friend would need to purchase it if they want to play Ascended.

The actual game itself doesn't lag for me. It's when I open my inventory there's a 2-3 second drop and when I'm trying to move things around storage and my inventory if I press once it takes multiple stacks, you can see a very small delay after pressing the trigger almost like a lag spike but this is even in single player. Honestly the inventory management on console has got so much worse than ASE, not even sure why they felt it necessary to mess with the controls. Even small things like being able to press LB to take everything from storage or a loot box. Instead you have to press about 3-4 times before it even registers. Hopefully at some point @heavy cedar and crew will look at these issues. I know at the moment the rush is to get maps out but as a remake surely it's meant to be better/easier to play?

They’re the best all rounders, but there are better options for certain bosses. Theris are best for Dragon + Megatheriums for Broodmother. At least for vanilla bosses. There’s different metas for most of the other DLC bosses too.

I know you’re pc, but for console when it does that (despite having storage space left) it means there’s a corrupt installed mod after an update. I usually uninstall some of my larger mod files, and then reinstall them one by one, and that fixes it.

Idk sounds like more work and you don't get the fun of taming them yourself sounds kinda lame I like the club ark part but I'd want the Normal method aswell

Your megalo will kill drakes without much problem, but they can't get into the actual nests as they are on the sides of a trench. Also the moment you touch an egg you get mobbed pretty fast by drakes, if you can get around that it'll do pretty good down there. At least for while, but a prim saddle will limit how long you can stay there.

If you're on ase you can use cryo pods down there, you can even bring over a strong shadowmane and mushroom brew. Shadowmane can get in any nest and jump away again easily.

If you get caught off your tame by a drake you'll probably die because even if they don't kill you outright, they'll wreck your haz suit and rad damage seemed to be worse on ase as I remember it. Definitely breed up some more megalo's, be prepared that everything you take may get lost. Don't forget light pet.
